"Nice Place to stay for Family Vacation"
Let me put it this way: It's a very nice 4 star hotel. With a very friendly and helpful staff. I mostly liked location and fish swimming among walkway from lobby to Elevators. I will recommend to make breakfast inclusive when you reserve room(s) in that hotel (since they have a very good breakfast)!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

nice hotel 10 mints to metro station beside many shopping center .room its ok.Genuine Expedia guest review
This hotel serves breakfast,, which to me, is quite distasteful. The employees in the kitchen couldn't do hard-boiled eggs properly, and all I got was some bad eggs with runny whites and cracked shells.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"great location near siam paragon"
Located 5 min walk behind siam paragon. We booked a family room which had a king bed and 2 twin beds, kitchenette and living room but only I bathroom. Place was aging but reasonably priced. Fair breakfast but lousy tea/coffee.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great location, average hotel"
Excellent location. 5min from Pratunam shopping district. 7-11s just 2min walk away. Breakfast cafe and food was OK. Service staff were nice, spoke ok English. Room was not great. Booked 5 rooms, was upgraded to Premium. TV was blurry, light switches controlled the main sockets too which made charging phones difficult. Water heater didn't work well. […] Bathtub stopper didn't work. Amenities were bare. Friend's Family room was run down and dusty, decided to change room. Great price for a simple stay, and very good location. Ideal for a shopping trip where you don't spend much time in the room. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"It was not too bad!"
Half the hotel was renovated recently, and we were assigned a room in the un-renovated wing. The cupboards were old, the tap was loose, the shower hot/cold directions were mixed up...the room however, was clean and neat, the location of the hotel is good - a mere 10-15 mins walk to Platinum Mall. From what i glimpsed, the rooms in renovated wing looked […] good, so be sure to request a room in the newly refurbished wing.

Service i receptionen meget svingende.
don't get the family room, its completely run down, dirty! taxi drivers don't find the hotel. overall can not recommend this placeGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Bra läge och rent och snyggt. Hyfsad standard."
It is located at the back of the siam paragon hotel, and takes around 5 mins walk. However, the environment nearby is too dim and quiet. Better to provide free wifi and tooth cleansing product. The room itself is large and neat, but the light was a bit dim. The toilet flush was broken which gives a rather bad image.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
BTS~Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Personnel sympathique, serviable.
Genuine Expedia guest review
"Convenient but rundown"

The exterior of the hotel was unappealing and the view was just of the opposite building. The room had a musky smell and the toilets had mold on the sides and were unclean. The lights along the corridors were very dim. The entrance of the hotel was hidden by the main carpark area and we were initially confused thinking that this was a residential area.

the location is one of the best about this hotel, near with mini market, siam paragon, pratunam, platinum, and other shopping center. just 10-15 minutes walk to local restaurant like ban khun mae restaurant, som tam nua we stayed at 2 bedroom suite on 5th floor. actually this is above my expectation because of i read many bad review about this family room.furniture is a bit old, but clean, have large windows, provide pantry, big living room, big bathroom. i stayed in deluxe room in my previous trip, deluxe room is more modern because it has been renovated. this hotel is provide free shuttle service to siam paragon with golf cart, just walk about one minute to the left, and shuttle service to airport with mini bus and it costs 800 bath. i would definitely stay again in this hotel in my next trip to bangkok.
"Only positive is the location"

Stayed at the residence Rajtaevee for 3 nights on our 2nd trip to bangkok. We chose the family 2 bedroom suite which was big. Big bathroom, kitchen lounge and dining area. One bedroom with double bed and sufficient cupboard space. Second bedroom with 2 single beds and a "lattice type "division" wall between the 2 beds. The rooms we were given was a bit old and run down. Bathroom was also a bit old. Hotel area smelled bad most of the time but the rooms were ok. The hotel exterior is in desperate need of some cleaning and renovations. Our room had a bad view of the next building but we were hardly in the room most of the time as we were out shopping and walking around. Breakfast is included with the room and is basic with traditional (soups, noodles, rice, curry) and western option( sausage and egg, toast, fruit) There was a spa on site but we didnt try it. Prices were quite high compared to what you could get at nearby areas. The best thing about the hotel is that its close/ walking distance to shopping areas ( pratunum and Siam Paragon) and various restaurant options.
"Good Location, lacks in few areas"

I stayed with my cousin in Residence Rajtaevee for 5 nights days and 4 days. The first thing I would suggest you is that you should go for "Premier Rooms" and "only those which face the entrance of the hotel" and "not the rear ones", the rooms facing the entrance have a good view with green trees but the one's at the rear have view of AC units which is very boring. But if view doesn't matter than it is no problem, personally I prefer a room with a good view. If you are in a tight budget you can go for Deluxe room but they are not as good as the Premier one's which are costlier but then you get what you pay for. The deluxe rooms have a CTV not LCD so it is a bit let down and to top it if the channel reception is fuzzy, it makes viewing a strain on your eyes. But what I want from an LCD is the USB port which allows me to play Audio tracks through my MP3 Player. You may find few things lacking in Deluxe Rooms as well as I found out that the LED light on the left side of the bed was not working and the lamp was also not working, so check the room out and request the staff to do so. Also make sure the type of room which you are getting is the same which you booked and which you saw on the booking website, you can be tricked into getting inferior room and if you are tired from the travel that is very much likely to happen as all you want at that time is get a nap. Another difference between the Premier rooms and the Deluxe one's is that the toilets in the latter one's have only tissues while the former one's have both water spray and tissues. The best thing about the hotel is it's location so don't end up paying for taxi's when you can walk a moderate distance to major shopping areas. Always ask for walking directions from the staff, we ended up paying for Siam Square even when it was within comfortable walking distance. NOTE: The photos which I have submitted are of Deluxe Room for Two with Double Bed. What I didn't like? Rooms are not sprayed with room fresher The fishes at the hotel compound smell The free breakfast food is not kept warmed The rear room view is a "Let Down" The entrance of the hotel is very small and the larger portion is meant for parking which confuses one between the two What I liked? Premier Rooms facing the entrance of the hotel Tasty fresh juice in the morning during free breakfast Though a bit smelly, the fishes do provide a good ambience The restaurant is very nicely decorated Good bedding Good location near Siam Square The warm water hot tub is a good offering for tired body All in all few good and few bad points make it an Average experience.

The hotel is just walking distance to Siam Paragon, Siam Center and the Pratunam Market. Room was cleaned all 4 nights we stayed here. Strange though that some hotel staff doesn't know basic courtesy. A male hotel staff suddenly opened the door on our second morning. No knocking or ringing the door bell to check first if anyone was around. Also, there's no free wifi in room. Need to purchase access for 150B (or 100B??) for 3 hours. I don't think it would cost the hotel so much if they just give access for free. Complimentary buffet breakfast was just average. On our 3rd and 4th day, we decide to eat somewhere else instead of using our breakfast voucher. Over-all, our stay was not that bad but would think twice on staying here again.
"Sour staff ....Great location!"

I booked a 2 bedroom family suite 2 months ahead by email. Confirmed with them till last day from arrival. Upon arrival checkin, the reception tells me my room has faulty electricity and that i'm advised to upgrade at 3,600 baht per night to another room (the initial family suite was confirmed at 2,400 baht/night). I firmly told them that it is unacceptable and shows all my printed email correspondences with them of 2 months. The manager tells something in thai to the receptionist and then they show me to a 2 bedroom family suite. I reconfirmed that it is at the initial rate agreed upon and they said yes! I've read previous reviews of this hotel and the trick they usually pull to get more money out of guests! Anyway, the family suite they showed was worn down but large and clean. My kids had enough space to run around. There was one TV in the living room and one in one of the bedrooms. It had Aljazeera, NHK, TV 5, CNA and thai channels. The bathroom was compact with a bathtub and white clean towels. The kitchen had no cooking stove but had a microwave, a medium sized fridge and a hot water dispenser. As our kids were picky eaters we brought a rice cooker and a portable hot pot cooker so that we could prepare their usual meals. The housekeeping had no problems with it. Beware that the glass bottled water is free but the plastic ones are payable. We read it in some reviews about this so stored the plastic ones on top of the fridge, out of reach of the kids. On our checkout, the receptionist told us one bottle was missing and we had to pay 40 baht for it. I didnt want to make a fuss and paid. My advice is keep all plastic bottles locked in your luggages throughout your stay and produce them at the reception upon checkout. Beat them at their own game. They are kind of pathetic these staff. Sour, depressed looking but since we are not in bkk to socialize with them, we just ignored their behaviour. The best thing about this hotel is the location. Turn left at its entrance and its only 5 minutes walk through a quiet private lane to Siam Paragon. A further 5 minutes walk to MBK mall. Siam Paragon buggy Operates from 11 am to 1 pm then from 3 pm to 5 pm. From the lane to Siam Paragon. Then you wont have to walk that 5 minutes at all! Turn right at the hotel entrance and its only 30 seconds to Petchaburi road (7-Eleven right there for water and other neccessities). A further 5 minutes to Pantip plaza, a further 5 minutes to Platinum mall (in front is Pratunam market), a further 10 minutes turning right to Big C and Central World. All along a road filled with street food galore! So if you book at this hotel, do it in advance, keep proof of your requirements and their confirmation, be firm, and hide the plastic water bottles! Wish you a safe trip to BKK!

Was introduced to The Residence by a colleague. Indeed, this property is close to Siam Paragon, Pratunam Market, Platinum Mall. The package that we paid for supposedly includes a free ride to Siam Paragon, but you can rarely see the golf kart and you still have to walk out to take this ride to Siam Paragon. The family room comprise of 2 bedrooms, 1 kitchen, 1 living room & 1 bathroom only; two tv sets (1 in bedroom, 1 in living room). The tv in the bedroom couldn't work at all. So disappointing. However, there are newer rooms in the building & from outside it looks pretty decent. So if you want to stay here due to the location, opt for that & don't get the family room. It'd be even better if there are 2 bathrooms, 1 common bathroom & 1 in the master bedroom. There's no free wifi (unless the package says so), and the unlimited wifi package cost 950 baht (for 1 mth usage). The connection is not fantastic & can only be used for 1 device only. So if a family have more than 1 device, you have to logout so that another person can use the wifi. The air-condition is wonky too.. The rooms were super cold while the living room felt like a sauna.. The staffs were rude on the phone when they called & threatened that we have to pay additional 100baht should there be additional people in the room. She sounded very threatening. To me, even if we need to make any extra payment, as a service staff, they could have said it in a more polite manner. Lastly, the kitchen.. They provided a flask which was utterly disgusting & not working! When we opened the flask, it was filled with water & white particles... In summary, avoid this place if you can..

During our family vacation to bangkok, we statyed at this hotel. The last time we stayed in this hotel was January 2006. We booked this hotel upon our arrival, we didnt have prior booking. We booked two double rooms as our kids 10 and 12 yrs cannot be accomodated in one room. The price of the rooms were quite reasonable. The reason for staying in this hotel is because of its excellent location. Siam Paragon, Siam Discovery, MBK shopping mall is just a five minutes walk from the hotel, just ask the front office and they will guide you. Pratunam market, Platinum mall, Pantip Plaza is a five to ten minutes walk from the hotel. Indira market is 10 to 15 minutes walk. 7/11 store is just next to the hotel. The rooms are kept very good and the house keeping is very good. There is a tour desk to book daily tours. The front office staff is very helpful and if you require any information they are willing to offer you thier assistance. There is a SPA in the hotel which i didnt visit. The morning breakfast is excellent as it has a mix of continental and chinese. Overall the staff is good. We enjoyed our stay in this hotel.
