"Very good hotel at a great price."
We found this hotel based on on-line recommendations and were not disappointed. The room was excellent, especially since we had three people staying, and needed to utliize a pull-out sofa. There was more than sufficient room, even with the sofa pulled-out. Great views, and the room was very clean (which is one of my biggest points with hotels). Hotel […] staff are very attentive and friendly. We had to request extra towels on two occassions and they were brought to the room in less than five minutes. Bathrooms were nicely appointed. Walk to MTR (Metro/subway) is straight forward, which provides very quick rides to Hong Kong Island or elsewhere. Be aware that if you are traveling with someone with slower mobility, it is several blocks to the MTR, so prepare accordingly. Thers is a free hotel shuttle to another MTR station which leaves on the hour if you do not wish to walk. Area around the hotel is fine. A few resturants within a block of the hotel, and more extensive offerings about a five or six block walk to Mong Kok or accessible by the free hotel shuttle. If we ever return to Hong Kong will very likely return to this hotel. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
The 2 not-so-positive things I have to say are: 1) Even though they run shuttle services to several convenient locations and are run every hour on the hour, for the return trip back you will have to ride through the other stops before arriving at the hotel (unless you board on the last stop) 2) There are only 2 elevators serving 26 floors.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Would definitely book here again"
We booked this room for a 2 week stay in Hong Kong and decided to book for 2 more nights after we were back from Thailand. The room was very small, but what we’d expected for a hotel in HK. Other than the size, the room was fairly comfortable and really forced us to be organized. We actually arrived at this hotel when it was still named Cosmo Mongkok. […] It was changed to Dorsett midstay, and they did an excellent job of changing the names smoothly. We were not disrupted in anyway during the name change. Service at this hotel was great for what we required. They provided a shuttle bus that would leave the hotel every hour and stopped at 3 locations. This was very convenient in terms of saving time to go to certain places. The shuttle was always prompt. We really loved the location of this hotel. It was smack in between Olympic MTR station and Mongkok MTR station (the shuttle also stops closer to these stations). On days when we didn’t feel like going far, we’d walk down Ivy Street to find a place to eat. There are restaurants all around, as well as 7-11 and a grocery store called Vanguard. Overall, the experience at Dorsett was positive and we would book here again! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Fair for the price Do not accept the "promotion" of internet and buffet breakfast, breakfast options are very limited for the price Staff is really willing to serve, that makes you feel comfortable. Very clean Rooms small but comfyGenuine Hotels.com guest review

""Free wifi" held for ransom at the Dorsett MongKok"
Travellers interested in staying at Dorsett Mong Kok should know that when you arrive, you will be told you may have to pay for the "free" wifi in your room. I was kindly informed that I had to pay for the "free wifi" because I had booked so far in advance though a third party that I was already receiving a discounted rate and so I needed to pay for […] wifi. Unless you are willing to hang out and use the free wifi in the lobby be prepared to be charged. The wifi fee included breakfast, so I made sure I loaded up every morning on the decent western/chinese buffet. (The dim sum items are very good indeed.) The room was perfectly fine and my only complaint was the occasional waft of urine/sewage smell that no doubt came from the in-floor drains in the bathroom area. Otherwise, perfectly comfortable. Not a bad hotel, but the surprise charges (+ mysterious "service" fees) did not do much to build trust. Location wise, be prepared for a 15 minute walk to busy MongKok subway station/Argyle street. There are a couple of grocery stores and a Watson's drug store very close to the hotel which is convenient too. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good hotel with good price for easy location in HK"
Overall, the stay is good. Hotel is new and clean and staff are super friendly. Rooms are tiny, even for hk standards, but will be fine for just staying and spending the rest of the days outside shopping and sight seeing.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Small but super efficient rooms-- awesome views"
I've stayed in both the "cosmorganic" (small but has everything) and the suite(fantastic two rooms with lots of space amazing views) over the last 4 years. I choose to return to this hotel for the low cost for decent rooms. I prefer the size of royal plaza but their prices are too high now. Langham is also good but just too expensive. I love Mongkok […] as an adventurous westerner because it feels like a more authentic Hong Kong experience vs staying in Tsim Tsa Shui with all the western style hotels and white people. The Hotel is very nice but not many people in the area knew where it was , the location was okay but it was hard to find when you tour the city, yes I would stay there again and it is not far from airport and shopping area, this all I can give about it for now for I only stayed one night.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Clean Hotel with extremely small rooms"
Rooms are very small even for one person; with a seethrough bathroom cabinets does not even have a seperate bathroomGenuine Expedia guest review
Hotel is good but their attitude is just try to charge more. All hotels have free wifi. They want to charge not just nominal but a lot. I was there 12.45m they wanted me to pay 270 HKD to get a room one hour earlier. Plus they charged my card for 300 dollars guarantee in case I use the mini Bar. But the mini bar was empty. It's just cheap mentality […] that leaves bad taste. Normally I stay with butterfly hotel and the best is Iseland Pacific. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good location, good room but.."
it's in a good location, comfort room is clean though small and there are eateries nearby. Everything could be perfect if the shuttle bus frequency could be more and not just 1 mini bus every hour. There is always a crowd for the bus especially in the morning and evening peak hours.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Nice hotel closed to restaurants."
Very interested city, crowded, cars and people always in a hurry. Night time is beautiful with light high rise buildings and shopping. Metro is a best way to moving around the city.Genuine Expedia guest review
Room was clean and service was good, but size is very small and a bit cramped. Location was convenient for shopping for food, but required taking shuttle or taxi to the subway station.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Small but nice"
Room was very small but as a business traveler it was sufficient. Bed and sheets were clean and good. Neighborhood is fun but a bit grimy. It was, however, quite convenient for where I had to go.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"small but comfy"
This style of room is the hip younger crowd who doesn't mind staying in smaller spaces. The room itself is mostly a large bed with a small tv and a not so private bathroom, so it best for the solo traveler. But it is clean and fits the bill for people who don't linger in a hotel all day. There will be traffic sounds and little battle with the climate […] control since it can get frigid or too hot when running a shower. But overall, it was a great place to stay since it was so close to the Olympic subway station and the huge mall inside it has a great food court. So it is a convenient, has a very local feel to it. And the staff was just great, always helpful, always trying to open doors, carry your luggage and assist whichever way they can. The free wifi in the lobby is great, but can get crowded. There is also a wait for the two elevators at times. But overall, it felt more comfy and convenient than the 4 and 5 star hotels I stayed at during this same trip. Could use a couple of more pillows. I would definitely stay here again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good hotel but nothing special"
Don't really have any complaints but wonder if you can do better on the price. Room was fine, clean. Little bit small. Take advantage of the free hotel shuttle to the MTR airport express which we only discovered on the way out. Not very close to the stop but you can arrange for the pickup.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Small but well priced and convenient"
My husband and I stayed for 5 nights in April, this is our second stay. The hotel rooms are tiny but well equipped with good space to put 2 big suitcases. The room was clean on arrival however the housekeeping during our stay was not fantastic. The free shuttle service is fantastic and free and the price of the room was excellent.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Beautiful city view."
The room is very small, there is no space at all in the bathroom. The housekeeping definitely need to pay more attention, since the bathroom door was a sliding door, if you are inside the bathroom, the glass behind the door was very dirty.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Tucked away in Mong Kok"
The Cosmo Hotel in Mong Kok is a nice hotel, As others report, the rooms are small! I was traveling alone, so this was not a problem. I did note that the bathroom was not the cleanest. I was disappointed that WIFI was not free. The hotel is also not in the best location in Hong Kong if your goal is sight seeing or shopping. The nearest MTR is Olympic […] (very easy to get to) but this line does not go to many destinations, Mong Kok MTR is a long walk. Hotel staff were very attentive during my stay. "Cosmo Mongkok Review"
The Cosmo at Mongkok is a Boutique hotel located in the Kowloon side of Hong Kong. The hotel houses a restaurant, lounge and fitness studio. In my visit, the staff was friendly and courteous. The concierge and the staff at the front desk were helpful and spoke English well. The room I stayed in was small but tall. It was adequate for its purposes, […] and most importantly, it was clean. The design of the room was efficient with the shower, toilet, and sink a couple feet from each other, and the bathroom itself was partitioned off from the rest of room by a tall glass screen that runs up to the ceiling. The room's insulation and combined with the droning of the AC was enough to drown out any unwanted noises from the street or loud neighbors. The room comes with amenities such as towels, soap, shampoo, toothbrush, safe, mini-fridge, and an international power adapter(which was nice), but no WIFI. As for the location, the hotel is located outside the bustling market streets of Kowloon. However, there are still plenty of foot traffic warranted by the residential shops and restaurants in the area. There are couple of 24/7 convenient stores and eatery within minute walking distant from the hotel. Like many places in Hong Kong, a MTR subway station is only minutes walk from the hotel, which is a great way to get around town. Overall, I would recommend this hotel for what it offers for the price. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Small but new and clean - decent location"
Very new and very small hotel. Tiny rooms. Not joking. Tiny! .... but clean, good staff and easy to get around Kowloon and HK. WiFi only in lobby. Easy and quick shuttle to airport (25 minutes). Would not recommend for more than singles and short stays. Good for quick trips and overnights before airport outbound trips.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"2.5 star all the way around"
Negatives: - Room on the small side. Not the smallest in HK, but they could have provided more efficient shelving to help you put your luggages. - Sloooooow elevators - Noisy neighbors. This hotel attracts mainland tourists who likes to keep yelling to each other between their rooms across the hallway, LATE into the night. - EXPENSIVE Internet fee. […] HK $150 per day, PLUS a 3% service fee. Hello?! - Long walk to the main line subway. 15 minutes walk to the other subway line (Olympic Station) but that means longer commute time and making connections, etc. - Shuttle bus is OK buy only once an hour. And it gets crowded sometimes. DO NOT COUNT on using the shuttle bus to go from the Kowloon MTR to the hotel if you have luggages. It is the last stop before the hotel and the bus is often filled already. - Location best for locals are people who are familiar with HK. Not a very touristy area with attractions, shops, etc. Lots of stores around but they are geared toward the locals. This could be a positive depending on what you want. - Hot water is insufficient during "rush hours" on days when the hotel is fully occupied. Stayed there for a week, and took about 3 cold / luke warm showers. POSITIVES: - Staff is very polite and helpful. - Relatively reasonable price. - Good enough, clean enough alternative if there is no better. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

this is the smallest hotel room I have ever seen. Even motels have bigger rooms. The rooms are trendy and decorated but it is not big enough for your luggage to be on the ground a space to walk around it. Customer service is decent. This is a nice hotel in the center of town. The rooms are small in size compared to US standard, but the size is standard in Hong Kong. The staff was really friendly and professional. The only thing that I did not like was the daily service fee for the "free" wireless Internet usage. The fee wasn't much as it was $12 HKD which equated to $1.50 USD. […] You will feel nickeled & dimed and a sense of false advertisement from a Western perspective. It seems more logical to include that into the room price. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

This friendly little hotel located a busy corner in a local neighborhood proved very satisfactory for the money. It was clean and was convenient for local shopping and restaurants. "A decent hotel"
I stayed in Cosmo Hotel Mongkok this summer. I chose this hotel because it was advertised to be closed to the MTR stations. Actually, it takes about 15 min. to walk from the hotel to either Olympic or Mongkok MTR station. I won't call it convenient because it is not easy to find the way to the MTR station without a detailed map. When it rains, the travel […] time will be much longer. I wish the hotel would have shuttle buses to the Mongkok MTR every 30 mins than 1 hour. It is hard to take advantage of the hotel shuttle service. Overall, the hotel staff were professional. They answered all the questions I had for them: from laundry mat location to even where to make copies and print photos. They were very helpful in getting a taxi for our travel back to the HK airport. I like their timely response and services. The linen was clean. However, the carpet was not. I could clearly see the worn out dirt marks on the carpet. The single bed room I stayed in was small. The space is about 50% of a single bed room in HK hotels at the similar price level I stayed last year and this year. The complimentary internet speed was OK. The supermarkets, local restaurants and convenient stores across the hotel provide easy access to daily personal and food supplies. The bottled water provided by the hotel was sufficient. If travel time is not an issue, I would consider this hotel again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
