"Good comfortable hotel"
That was good and comfortable hotel. Stylish and modern. But I felt bit small for betroom and bath room.If there is bath tub , I felt more comfortable because it was a terrieble rainy day then me and my son was soak in wet.Genuine Expedia guest review
My stay was very short(couple hrs) In transit but the overall experience was as shown on the site. Best regards to the team!Genuine Expedia guest review
"Good hotel, good location"
Clean hotel located near MTR. Has free shuttle to a few places in Kowloon. Got exceptional service from Ivan at concierge. Only down side is the size of the room - quite small.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"ok hotel, but not close enough to the transit"
I found Dorsett Mongkok to have nice clean exteriors. Staff was ok. They are courteous but didn't go out of their way to help like some other hotels I had stayed. It does have a nice feature in a complimentary smartphone which allows you to call US (landline)/ hong kong for free, and provide reviews for restaurants. It can also be used for gps which […] is very helpful. The room, like many of the hong kong hotel, is small. It does have complimentary internet via the smartphone hotspot, a tv, and a fridge. The shower is usable but very small again. The bed sheet has some faded stain. Another thing I had issue with is the location. It's about 20+ min away from the Mongkok transit stop. This is ok in someplace, but in hong kong summer, walking 20 min makes you hot and sweaty. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Lets a little small"
This hotel has bee recently refurbished and is very clean and fresh, rooms are on the small side, if you just dropping your bags and out for most of the day then it fine, but if you have a lot of work to do in your room is to small. They have a really great system where they give you a free hand phone during your stay, I think more hotels should offer […] this service not just in HK but around the world Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Clean and Convenient! Free phone!"
Stayed here for 7 nights for a bereavement trip. Check-in process was fast and easy, with a quick training on how to use the complimentary Handy smartphone. This phone was a godsend during our stay as we needed to stay in contact with relatives in HK and the US. Calls were free! It also provided free wifi hotspot for our own devices, although it was […] a bit slow in our room on the 26th floor. Room was small, but comparable to other same-level rooms we've stayed at in HK. Reception, concierge and housekeeping staff are very helpful. Everywhere in the hotel always smelled fresh and clean. Free shuttle on a schedule to areas in Kowloon is great. 5-10 minute walk to 2 MTR stations and lots of restaurants and convenient stores across the street. Enjoyed our stay despite the purpose of our trip. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Excellent Service and staff so helpful"
This Hotel is very nice, clean, and modern. I love the fact that the room comes with a smart phone for you to take with you. No need for maps. The hotel staff are very nice; knowledgeable and helpful. Rooms are clean and nice with all the amenities and a nice shower, but it's a bit small. The location is not the best, but it is pretty convenient if […] you want to walk to the night markets and down Nathan street. Overall a great hotel to stay for a few days. "Nice place. Nice service"
Shuttle bus is good. And room is nice designed. 3G cell is nice too. If hotel provide free breakfast will be even better.Genuine Expedia guest review
The room was too tiny. I never seen a small one like this before. However, the hotel service was fairly good enough.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Small room but very clean"
Comfortable. Little bit noisy since walls are thin.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Hotel Dorsett Mongkok"
I stayed at the Dorsett Mongkok recently. It is a nice, boutique hotel in Kowloon. The rooms are smallish but comfortable. For the price, it is a very good hotel for business travellers. I would probably consider it if I was staying in Hong Kong for vacation also but the rooms are quite tight. Overall, a very good hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Small but clean, excellent staff"
We stayed here on a 24-hour layaway. There were some shuttles available, which we used, but the did drop us off a little further from the ferry than I would have liked. It was a 15 minute 40 HKD cab ride from Kowloon. The staff there was extremely helpful in telling me where to go. The room was very small by North American standards, but comfy for two […] people. We arrived at around noon and were able to give us a room right away. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Close to everything; mongkok train station, pharmacy, 7 eleven, and mcdonalds. Smells great in the hotel. Rooms are small but modern.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great value for the price"
I enjoyed my stay, the staff as very friendly and helpful but a bit of a walk to the subway. The one complaint is there is only free wifi in the lobby but other than that there is lots of good local restaurants and a "Park n Shop" supermarket near by. I will defiantly stay again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Hotel is clean and near public transportation, shops and airport. The staff is very helpful. The room is small but it has everything for my stay. The only thing missing is free wifi. I'll come back again when I'm in the area.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I check in very late, about 12:30 a.m. The room they gave me was so small, almost no place to walk. There were 2 small beds instead of 1 big and no bath tab. It was big disappointment to see it but I was too tired to go down and change it. Fortunately i stayed there only 1 night.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great location, Small room"
The room was so small. You should only stay there with someone whom you know VERY well. When they go to the bathroom you know it. Thankfully, I was with my spouse, but their basic room is not for a trip with friends or those in the getting to know you phase and are quite shy.Genuine Expedia guest review
Overall, a very positive experience, a small but clean and modern room combined with helpful staff.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Good base for exploring"
If you are looking for a hotel that is a base for exploring, this is it. Hotel rooms are clean and comfortable. Staff are very polite and accommodating.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Good hotel, but could be in a better location"
This is a good choice for a hotel, but not a lot of choices for food and things to see in the area. Rooms were nice, but small (after all it is Hong Kong, and they tend to be small), but you can upgrade for a fee. Breakfast buffet was average, decent amount of choices. Hotel tends to cater to more Chinese than foreigners, so be prepared to staff that […] speaks speaks some English to most that don't speak much at all. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Great location. Very close to local shops with eatery everywhere. Small room but cozy but with excellent view. Definitely recommended for single or couple stay but not family.Genuine Expedia guest review
"great for the price"
I didnt need some expensive hotel. Just a place to sleep. If you have a lot of luggage this hotel could be really inconvenient. But if you have a few bags, this place is great for the money.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Small room for one person but close to shopping"
Friendly and helpful staff.free shuttle bus to shopping mall and ladies market.close to restaurants.and McDonald across the street from hotel.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Internet access is charged at HKD33 an hour!!!"
Never stay at this hotel again, no free internet. The drainage in shower overflew, has to stand in a pool of water to have shower, yack.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Good but few things have to change"
Good hotel, good staffs, suttle bus, and close to oxford TMR. but there is no heater and I could smell odors from restroom... it was disgusting... they needs to more carefully clean restroom wall.. and Room was too small.Genuine Expedia guest review
Staff is very friendly, helpful, highly recommend.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Almost perfect except for the breakfast/internet"
Almost perfect except for the breakfast/internet extra, at 320 HKD. They pressed me to decide at checkin and I made a mistake. Not worth it.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We stayed for two nights, and we loved everything except that there's no free WIFI in the room. We loved the free shuttle bus service from the hotel. We would stay there again if we go back next time.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Very good hotel at a great price."
We found this hotel based on on-line recommendations and were not disappointed. The room was excellent, especially since we had three people staying, and needed to utliize a pull-out sofa. There was more than sufficient room, even with the sofa pulled-out. Great views, and the room was very clean (which is one of my biggest points with hotels). Hotel […] staff are very attentive and friendly. We had to request extra towels on two occassions and they were brought to the room in less than five minutes. Bathrooms were nicely appointed. Walk to MTR (Metro/subway) is straight forward, which provides very quick rides to Hong Kong Island or elsewhere. Be aware that if you are traveling with someone with slower mobility, it is several blocks to the MTR, so prepare accordingly. Thers is a free hotel shuttle to another MTR station which leaves on the hour if you do not wish to walk. Area around the hotel is fine. A few resturants within a block of the hotel, and more extensive offerings about a five or six block walk to Mong Kok or accessible by the free hotel shuttle. If we ever return to Hong Kong will very likely return to this hotel. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
The 2 not-so-positive things I have to say are: 1) Even though they run shuttle services to several convenient locations and are run every hour on the hour, for the return trip back you will have to ride through the other stops before arriving at the hotel (unless you board on the last stop) 2) There are only 2 elevators serving 26 floors.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Would definitely book here again"
We booked this room for a 2 week stay in Hong Kong and decided to book for 2 more nights after we were back from Thailand. The room was very small, but what we’d expected for a hotel in HK. Other than the size, the room was fairly comfortable and really forced us to be organized. We actually arrived at this hotel when it was still named Cosmo Mongkok. […] It was changed to Dorsett midstay, and they did an excellent job of changing the names smoothly. We were not disrupted in anyway during the name change. Service at this hotel was great for what we required. They provided a shuttle bus that would leave the hotel every hour and stopped at 3 locations. This was very convenient in terms of saving time to go to certain places. The shuttle was always prompt. We really loved the location of this hotel. It was smack in between Olympic MTR station and Mongkok MTR station (the shuttle also stops closer to these stations). On days when we didn’t feel like going far, we’d walk down Ivy Street to find a place to eat. There are restaurants all around, as well as 7-11 and a grocery store called Vanguard. Overall, the experience at Dorsett was positive and we would book here again! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Fair for the price Do not accept the "promotion" of internet and buffet breakfast, breakfast options are very limited for the price Staff is really willing to serve, that makes you feel comfortable. Very clean Rooms small but comfyGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Good location and especially the shuttle service was very convenient to visit all the places.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
""Free wifi" held for ransom at the Dorsett MongKok"
Travellers interested in staying at Dorsett Mong Kok should know that when you arrive, you will be told you may have to pay for the "free" wifi in your room. I was kindly informed that I had to pay for the "free wifi" because I had booked so far in advance though a third party that I was already receiving a discounted rate and so I needed to pay for […] wifi. Unless you are willing to hang out and use the free wifi in the lobby be prepared to be charged. The wifi fee included breakfast, so I made sure I loaded up every morning on the decent western/chinese buffet. (The dim sum items are very good indeed.) The room was perfectly fine and my only complaint was the occasional waft of urine/sewage smell that no doubt came from the in-floor drains in the bathroom area. Otherwise, perfectly comfortable. Not a bad hotel, but the surprise charges (+ mysterious "service" fees) did not do much to build trust. Location wise, be prepared for a 15 minute walk to busy MongKok subway station/Argyle street. There are a couple of grocery stores and a Watson's drug store very close to the hotel which is convenient too. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good hotel with good price for easy location in HK"
Overall, the stay is good. Hotel is new and clean and staff are super friendly. Rooms are tiny, even for hk standards, but will be fine for just staying and spending the rest of the days outside shopping and sight seeing.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Small but super efficient rooms-- awesome views"
I've stayed in both the "cosmorganic" (small but has everything) and the suite(fantastic two rooms with lots of space amazing views) over the last 4 years. I choose to return to this hotel for the low cost for decent rooms. I prefer the size of royal plaza but their prices are too high now. Langham is also good but just too expensive. I love Mongkok […] as an adventurous westerner because it feels like a more authentic Hong Kong experience vs staying in Tsim Tsa Shui with all the western style hotels and white people. The Hotel is very nice but not many people in the area knew where it was , the location was okay but it was hard to find when you tour the city, yes I would stay there again and it is not far from airport and shopping area, this all I can give about it for now for I only stayed one night.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Clean Hotel with extremely small rooms"
Rooms are very small even for one person; with a seethrough bathroom cabinets does not even have a seperate bathroomGenuine Expedia guest review
Hotel is good but their attitude is just try to charge more. All hotels have free wifi. They want to charge not just nominal but a lot. I was there 12.45m they wanted me to pay 270 HKD to get a room one hour earlier. Plus they charged my card for 300 dollars guarantee in case I use the mini Bar. But the mini bar was empty. It's just cheap mentality […] that leaves bad taste. Normally I stay with butterfly hotel and the best is Iseland Pacific. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good location, good room but.."
it's in a good location, comfort room is clean though small and there are eateries nearby. Everything could be perfect if the shuttle bus frequency could be more and not just 1 mini bus every hour. There is always a crowd for the bus especially in the morning and evening peak hours.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Nice hotel closed to restaurants."
Very interested city, crowded, cars and people always in a hurry. Night time is beautiful with light high rise buildings and shopping. Metro is a best way to moving around the city.Genuine Expedia guest review
Room was clean and service was good, but size is very small and a bit cramped. Location was convenient for shopping for food, but required taking shuttle or taxi to the subway station.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Small but nice"
Room was very small but as a business traveler it was sufficient. Bed and sheets were clean and good. Neighborhood is fun but a bit grimy. It was, however, quite convenient for where I had to go.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"small but comfy"
This style of room is the hip younger crowd who doesn't mind staying in smaller spaces. The room itself is mostly a large bed with a small tv and a not so private bathroom, so it best for the solo traveler. But it is clean and fits the bill for people who don't linger in a hotel all day. There will be traffic sounds and little battle with the climate […] control since it can get frigid or too hot when running a shower. But overall, it was a great place to stay since it was so close to the Olympic subway station and the huge mall inside it has a great food court. So it is a convenient, has a very local feel to it. And the staff was just great, always helpful, always trying to open doors, carry your luggage and assist whichever way they can. The free wifi in the lobby is great, but can get crowded. There is also a wait for the two elevators at times. But overall, it felt more comfy and convenient than the 4 and 5 star hotels I stayed at during this same trip. Could use a couple of more pillows. I would definitely stay here again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good hotel but nothing special"
Don't really have any complaints but wonder if you can do better on the price. Room was fine, clean. Little bit small. Take advantage of the free hotel shuttle to the MTR airport express which we only discovered on the way out. Not very close to the stop but you can arrange for the pickup.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Do not stay ...much better hotel in HK for price."
Rooms are extremely small...location is poor, hotel is old and very uncomfortable to stay in.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Small but well priced and convenient"
My husband and I stayed for 5 nights in April, this is our second stay. The hotel rooms are tiny but well equipped with good space to put 2 big suitcases. The room was clean on arrival however the housekeeping during our stay was not fantastic. The free shuttle service is fantastic and free and the price of the room was excellent.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Beautiful city view."
The room is very small, there is no space at all in the bathroom. The housekeeping definitely need to pay more attention, since the bathroom door was a sliding door, if you are inside the bathroom, the glass behind the door was very dirty.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Tucked away in Mong Kok"
The Cosmo Hotel in Mong Kok is a nice hotel, As others report, the rooms are small! I was traveling alone, so this was not a problem. I did note that the bathroom was not the cleanest. I was disappointed that WIFI was not free. The hotel is also not in the best location in Hong Kong if your goal is sight seeing or shopping. The nearest MTR is Olympic […] (very easy to get to) but this line does not go to many destinations, Mong Kok MTR is a long walk. Hotel staff were very attentive during my stay.
