"Nice surprise with a perk"
It's a bit of a walk from the subway, but it turns out that the hotel has a free shuttle service than runs regularly to a few select spots (the subway being one of them). Be warned that the shuttle fills up fast and leaves on time (or early). Even the staff suggests arriving around 15 minutes early to get a seat. The hotel itself is very nice. The rooms […] are surprisingly big, though closet space is limited. The only negative is that there are only 2 elevators, so expect traffic getting to and from your room. Other than that, very friendly and helpful staff. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Response by Dorsett Mongkok, Hong Kong (Former Cosmo Hotel Mongkok) Thank you for your review and we’re glad to know that you have enjoyed the services rendered from our professional team. The nearest Olympic station is within around 4-min walking distance from the hotel and the daily complimentary shuttle service runs multiple destinations in order to bring out guests to the hot spots around the city. There are three elevators in full operation at the hotel indeed and guests can always approach our 24-hour on duty guest services manager if any assistance required. Once again, thank you for staying with us and we look forward to serving you in near future.
Great hotel, friendly staff. I also liked the furniture and the overall design of the hotel. Rooms are very cool, bed is extremely comfortable and the view from the room is great as well. The internet is sometimes slow, which can be annoying. The treadmill in the gym didn't work when we first got there, but when we returned 10 days later it was already […] fixed, which I very much appreciated. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"A decent hotel"
I stayed in Cosmo Hotel Mongkok this summer. I chose this hotel because it was advertised to be closed to the MTR stations. Actually, it takes about 15 min. to walk from the hotel to either Olympic or Mongkok MTR station. I won't call it convenient because it is not easy to find the way to the MTR station without a detailed map. When it rains, the travel […] time will be much longer. I wish the hotel would have shuttle buses to the Mongkok MTR every 30 mins than 1 hour. It is hard to take advantage of the hotel shuttle service. Overall, the hotel staff were professional. They answered all the questions I had for them: from laundry mat location to even where to make copies and print photos. They were very helpful in getting a taxi for our travel back to the HK airport. I like their timely response and services. The linen was clean. However, the carpet was not. I could clearly see the worn out dirt marks on the carpet. The single bed room I stayed in was small. The space is about 50% of a single bed room in HK hotels at the similar price level I stayed last year and this year. The complimentary internet speed was OK. The supermarkets, local restaurants and convenient stores across the hotel provide easy access to daily personal and food supplies. The bottled water provided by the hotel was sufficient. If travel time is not an issue, I would consider this hotel again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Response by Dorsett Mongkok, Hong Kong (Former Cosmo Hotel Mongkok) Thank you for your review. It’s nice to know that you like the services rendered from our professional team and the neighborhood of the hotel where you could find an array of local cuisines and access to groceries that all you need easily. In case there’re any queries on finding the way to the nearest Olympic MTR station, guests can always approach our concierge team in the lobby and they would be happy to show you the directions. Guests can also take public transports including buses and mini vans travel to various destinations around the city and the stops are just nearby the hotel. Regarding the shuttle service, it runs more rounds in the morning during rush hours to accommodate the higher demand and we noted your comment and will revisit guests’ demand in order to provide efficient shuttle service. The hotel comprises of five room categories sizing up to 42 sq m for a more spacious selection. We also note your comment on the worn out marks on the carpet, our housekeeping team does schedule regular check and clean up in the rooms to ensure the cleanliness for guests’ stay. We hope to welcome you back soon!

"Convenient location, crampy rooms"
I had booked an apparent higher class of room with lounge access, after staying in their std rooms earlier. Surprisingly these rooms were equal in size and very small at a higher price. Staff at reception, cleanliness is decent, but the rooms are really too small to breathe. And the big shock came this time with the breakfast. The chefs at the egg station […] are so rude, you at times want to simply leave without eating, and i even did that once. You ask for egg white, they refuse... you ask for well done, they refuse... you ask for egg at 10 (official b/f time is till 10:30) and they reply "you are not my boss and i cannot keep waiting to server you". And if you ignore all this, they will throw the egg on your plate as it they are throwing garbage out the door! I would have still rated this hotel a 3.5 in all, but for the breakfast experience. Hotel is nice, rooms are clean and updated though they are really small. Small like the bathroom is less than a foot from the bed and is partitioned by half smoked glass. "Family traveling in HK"
We booked the family room months in advance because was one of the larger rooms at a great value. while travelling HK with a 4yr old and a 1.5 yr old is not fun, this room was quite relaxing with a spinning tv in the middle, power curtains, and large shower area. With one queen, and two twin beds, we slept quite well. Keep this in mind tho, the regular […] rooms are half the family size. If you plan on having more than two people staying in one room, you need to book the family room ! oh, there's a cozy little gym with new equipment (one cycle, one runner, one eliptical, a bench and free weights to 25lbs) with tv monitors on them. Another side note: to my surprise, the manager stopped by with a small box of snacks and a white Cosmo teddy bear for the kids shortly after we checked in. not sure if this was a special case or not? Hotel rooms in Hong Kong are really small. These rooms are really really small. If there are two people in one room, one of you will not be able to lay your suitcase down to open. The staff was really nice and helpful. The only reason I wouldn't recommend this hotel is due to the location. The name says Mong Kok but you're really more in Tai Kok Tsui […] which is about a 25 minute walk to Mong Kok where all the nightlife and restaurants are. "Newer Hotel, Large Rooms for HK, Far from Train"
Overall, I really enjoyed our stay at the Cosmo Hotel because the hotel itself is newer. The service is good and the rooms were pretty big for HK standards. I never had a chance to try out the restaurant food, but I heard you cannot sit in there if you don't order something. There are a lot of cheap eats outside the hotel, which is good when you need […] to grab something on the go, but the food was just ok. It definitely wasn't the amazing flavor that I heard about in HK. I love Cantonese style Chinese food too! There's a McDonald's across the street too for your morning coffee. It's really strong. The value of the price paid was very reasonable and there is a free shuttle that takes you to the Mongkok train station. My real complaints are... -The wifi was only free in the lobby and very expensive in the rooms. - The shuttle filled up very fast and often there wasn't enough room for us. They don't allow standing. -The location of the hotel is at least a 15-20 minute fast paced walk from any train station. This makes it hard if you are traveling with someone older. - The carpets were vacuumed and cleaned, but there were a lot of stains on the floor. Also there was a cockroach in one of our 4 rooms. Overall based on value, cleanliness, and service, I would recommend the hotel for a younger groups who don't mind the walk. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

For different travel budgets, we offer a well range of room categories of different sizes to accommodate various needs. Our hotel offers six room types including Suite Air or Studio Air, which are both modishly designed to maximize space at 42 sq. m. Location-wise, we are situated amid Mong Kok and Tai Kok Tsui districts among the jumble of tourist attractions. We usually arrange all elevator's maintenance work avoiding busy hours and your mention is trusted to be an emergent and rare case. Though Internet is chargeable in guest rooms, free WiFi is available in our restaurant on 2/F for guest's convenience. Last but not least, thank you for your compliments to our staff and we hope to be of service to you soon!
"Good value option"
This hotel met my needs. I knew beforehand the rooms were small. They are, but they are well laid-out and fine for a short break. The staff were excellent. The location is fine, especially given the excellent (free) hotel shuttle-bus which I used extensively. For the cost I thought this was an excellent hotel. I'd happily use again and recommend.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great mid price hotel"
If you are more interested in the sights and experiences of Hong Kong than of the opulence of you hotel then this is a great hotel fir you. It is clean, comfortable and close to the MTR. Grab yourself an Octopus card and go. The staff are helpfull, the bed is comfortable and the surrounding area great for cheap local food. The hotel provides a shuttle […] bus to the local shopping centre and the ferry terminal. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Overall a Good hotel in a not too bad location in Kowloon. The rooms are pretty small but generally clean and tidy. The staff were all great and the concierge desk is helpful. Nothing flash in the toiletries department i.e. Combined basic shampoo/conditioner.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
