"Nice modern hotel"
The room and staff were very nice. Just a few blocks from the train station. Modern decor (not so common in Italian hotels) and updated.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Once more, the quality of the service provided by Guiseppe and Roberto has made our annual trip to Montecatini one more special trip for us to treasure forever. Thank you to the whole team, including Beatrice and Fabio on the front desk for making us feel so welcome.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Excellent hotel in great location."
Good sized bedroom, clean and comfortable. Plenty of variety for breakfast that was available even if you are the last minute. Lovely views from our balcony. Good value.Genuine Expedia guest review
It is a good hotel with a nice terrace at the front to have some lovely drinks! Close to the center too. 5 minutes walkGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Top Hotel in Montecatini"
We had a wonderful 3 nights at your hotel. The staff could not have been more accommodating or helpful. The service was attentive and efficient. We always felt they had our best interests at heart. We were recommended a wonderful restaurant on our last night. The location of the hotel is excellent - far enough away from the hustle of the Main Street […] but close enough to walk in the extreme heat! There are some lovely little bistros and bars to frequent. Room was spacious - the bathroom needs updating and the water pressure leaves little to be desired - but it's Italy so we expect it. The pool was lovely and we greatly appreciated the drink service! The food and drink prices of this hotel was more than reasonable. Great restaurant recommendations from the staff. Gave us tips where the locals eat including themselves. Thank you. Would definitely recommend and stay at this hotel again. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"NICE HOTEL WITH GOOD LOCATION"
HOTEL WAS RECENTLY REMODELED. STAFF IS VERY FRIENDLY AND ALWAYS HELPFUL WHEN DEMANDED. I WILL DEFINITELY STAY THERE ON MY NEXT TRIP TO TOSCANA VALLEY.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Servicen från personal var väldigt bra. Rummen var hyfsad bra dock frukostens variation var begränsad. I helhet har vi varit mycket nöjda med besöket.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

We loved the hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the rooms were excellent. Montecatini is a great base for exploring Tuscany and the hotel is just minutes from the station. The hotel was in quiet location near a lovely park. It also has a very good swimming pool.We would definitely come back to this hotel.

We loved this Hotel, very clean, comfortable Beds, Bath and shower, air conditioning, open Windows and quiet area, also free wifi. A short pleasant walk through a park lead to the town, shops, Piazza and the Railway station. Highly recommend this hotel.
"Loved this hotel and our room"

Had a wonderful stay in this hotel. It is, first and foremost for me, extremely clean. Our room was huge with a large sofa next to the enormous and very comfortable bed. We had tall French windows leading out on to a balcony that overlooked the pool. The bathroom was very roomy and beautifully kept. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel. We stayed with a group and they catered for us well. The food wasn't anything spectacular but it was hot and fresh. The breakfast was typically European and plentiful and there was as much tea and coffee as you wanted. The hotel is very handy for the train station as it's only a short walk through the park. The staff are friendly and accommodating and we felt very well look after. I was taken ill one night and the receptionist called the doctor and translated for both of us. She really helped and she made a point of asking how I was the next day. All in all a fabulous place. Please go and stay there, you won't regret it.

"Lovely place to stay"

We stayed with a group of 24 with Great Train. We had a lovely room overlooking the front - the road is closed at night so nice and quiet. The staff were wonderful - really helpful and kind. The food was fine considering they were catering for a number of tour groups all with different menus. The pasta and the soups were superb. The furnishings and public rooms are beautiful. Lovely place to stay.

Just to concentrate on the main strength of this hotel, the feature to highlight is the food which is quite the best hotel food we have come across. The lady proprietor herself goes to the market at 6am each morning to select it.
"do I expect too much?"
10/05/14 Liz C St Leonards on Sea
Came here on a tour and stayed 7 nights. The room was dark, the bathroom small with no magnifying mirror, too little space to put out your toiletries, there was no hanky box. In my bedroom there was a dent with a mark on the wall. There was an imposing picture on the wall of a monk who looked a bit sinister on first view...however I did warm to it. It was a single occupancy, I being given two single beds which I at first wished was a large single like my fellow travellers who were also in a single room...I was eventually pleased I was given this as it was a useful shelf for my laptop which was then at no risk of being turfed off the bed. However it was very clean, I had a balcony going onto the street, and the room was colour coordinated. What I really struggled with was the unimaginative food. They were warned in advance that I preferred vegan but would except vegetarian, and if the latter hopefully with vegetarian friendly cheese and free range eggs. They provided soya milk, and the free range eggs. Their soups were often vegan and very good. However all too often I was waiting for my food to be given something like lettuce, cucumber and tomato. I ate out for part of my holiday and know the salads can be lots better than this...had one with melon and fennel for example. I was given a pasta dish that tasted like they had opened a tin of ratatouille and added it to the pasta. They asked me what I wanted so seeing they had couscous on the menu did get that once. Meanwhile again elsewhere, I had an interesting barley dish....surely the cook have such meals at his finger tips? I did look at a Tuscan cooking book and there were plenty of vegan options I would have loved....and I am sure others would too. A friend with me thought I was too hard on them as they had a lot of people to cater for. However, I had paid a lot for this holiday so did hope for more, my hope being supported by a seasoned traveller with our tour company.
"Not a 4-star"

Only some rooms qualify for the 4-star rating. Most rooms are tiny and dark. Staff generally pleasant with one exception. Andrea the most pleasant, courteous, and helpful receptionist. She represents the hotel well. Red carpet on the marble stairs was not once vacuumed during the week we were there. Food, ok, but without imagination, every breakfast the same; buffet trays were not refilled during dinner or breakfast. Rooms were clean.
"Did not live up to expectations"

After reading all the glowing reviews of this hotel I expected great things but I was rather disappointed. I travelled as part of a tour group and suffered from what I would describe as "single traveller in a group syndrome." I had paid a large supplement to have a double room and was given a very compact twin room at the front of the first floor which overlooked a tree which made it very dark and claustrophobic. The shower room was like a cupboard. There was a shelf high above the toilet which I could not reach and no shelf at all in the shower so I have no idea where you were meant to put shower gel. Toiletries consisted of a bar of soap and a bottle of hair and body wash. No tissues and not even a magnifying mirror in the bathroom. My room was changed the next day for a bigger double. It was at the side of the first floor and overlooked a wall which made it even darker so I had to have the light on all the time. The bathroom was bigger but, even though we were led to believe the rooms had been refurbished, the bath and shower looked very dated as did the pink tiles. Having said that, there was plenty of hot water but the plumbing in an old hotel is very noisy and it often woke me up from other guests' rooms. However, the bed was very comfortable and the room was clean. Breakfast was OK but the choice was not great. Poor selection of bread and the only hot food was scrambled eggs or what looked like consomme. Dinner was passable but the main courses were unimaginative. Their soups, however, were delicious. Their billing system was rather archaic and it was a shambles when I wanted to check out as the bills from the restaurant are still scribbled on pieces of paper and have to be given to reception to put on the computer! On the plus side, there was good free wifi in the hotel and the terrace at the front was very pleasant but, if you wanted even a cup of tea during the day you would have had to wait until 5.00 pm until the bar opened. Having stayed in Italian hotels before, this is one of the better ones but attention to detail was lacking and I felt should have been better for their four star rating.
"Friendly family run hotel"

Friendliest hotel we've found in 6 trips to Italy. Really helpful staff, great location. Evening a-la-carte menu good, breakfast choice a bit limited compared to others we've experienced in Italy. Our double room number 226 was at end of corridor and quite large with balcony - great value, think others may have been smaller
