"Nice modern hotel"
The room and staff were very nice. Just a few blocks from the train station. Modern decor (not so common in Italian hotels) and updated.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
It is a good hotel with a nice terrace at the front to have some lovely drinks! Close to the center too. 5 minutes walkGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Top Hotel in Montecatini"
We had a wonderful 3 nights at your hotel. The staff could not have been more accommodating or helpful. The service was attentive and efficient. We always felt they had our best interests at heart. We were recommended a wonderful restaurant on our last night. The location of the hotel is excellent - far enough away from the hustle of the Main Street […] but close enough to walk in the extreme heat! There are some lovely little bistros and bars to frequent. Room was spacious - the bathroom needs updating and the water pressure leaves little to be desired - but it's Italy so we expect it. The pool was lovely and we greatly appreciated the drink service! The food and drink prices of this hotel was more than reasonable. Great restaurant recommendations from the staff. Gave us tips where the locals eat including themselves. Thank you. Would definitely recommend and stay at this hotel again. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"NICE HOTEL WITH GOOD LOCATION"
HOTEL WAS RECENTLY REMODELED. STAFF IS VERY FRIENDLY AND ALWAYS HELPFUL WHEN DEMANDED. I WILL DEFINITELY STAY THERE ON MY NEXT TRIP TO TOSCANA VALLEY.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"HOTEL FRANCIA AND QUIRINALE,Montecatini"
Hotellet blev en stor poisiv överraskning när vi kom dit. Betydligt bättre på allt än vad vi hade förväntat oss. Bra, servicevänlig personal och tillmötesgående på allt. Bra läge.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Not a 4-star"
09/26/14 1kearsarge2 Charlottesville, Virginia
Only some rooms qualify for the 4-star rating. Most rooms are tiny and dark. Staff generally pleasant with one exception. Andrea the most pleasant, courteous, and helpful receptionist. She represents the hotel well. Red carpet on the marble stairs was not once vacuumed during the week we were there. Food, ok, but without imagination, every breakfast the same; buffet trays were not refilled during dinner or breakfast. Rooms were clean.
"Did not live up to expectations"
09/24/14 HoneyBeeLondon London
After reading all the glowing reviews of this hotel I expected great things but I was rather disappointed. I travelled as part of a tour group and suffered from what I would describe as "single traveller in a group syndrome." I had paid a large supplement to have a double room and was given a very compact twin room at the front of the first floor which overlooked a tree which made it very dark and claustrophobic. The shower room was like a cupboard. There was a shelf high above the toilet which I could not reach and no shelf at all in the shower so I have no idea where you were meant to put shower gel. Toiletries consisted of a bar of soap and a bottle of hair and body wash. No tissues and not even a magnifying mirror in the bathroom. My room was changed the next day for a bigger double. It was at the side of the first floor and overlooked a wall which made it even darker so I had to have the light on all the time. The bathroom was bigger but, even though we were led to believe the rooms had been refurbished, the bath and shower looked very dated as did the pink tiles. Having said that, there was plenty of hot water but the plumbing in an old hotel is very noisy and it often woke me up from other guests' rooms. However, the bed was very comfortable and the room was clean. Breakfast was OK but the choice was not great. Poor selection of bread and the only hot food was scrambled eggs or what looked like consomme. Dinner was passable but the main courses were unimaginative. Their soups, however, were delicious. Their billing system was rather archaic and it was a shambles when I wanted to check out as the bills from the restaurant are still scribbled on pieces of paper and have to be given to reception to put on the computer! On the plus side, there was good free wifi in the hotel and the terrace at the front was very pleasant but, if you wanted even a cup of tea during the day you would have had to wait until 5.00 pm until the bar opened. Having stayed in Italian hotels before, this is one of the better ones but attention to detail was lacking and I felt should have been better for their four star rating.
"Friendly family run hotel"

Friendliest hotel we've found in 6 trips to Italy. Really helpful staff, great location. Evening a-la-carte menu good, breakfast choice a bit limited compared to others we've experienced in Italy. Our double room number 226 was at end of corridor and quite large with balcony - great value, think others may have been smaller
"Feels like home "
There is a reason we keep going back to this hotel, it feels like home. Every thing about this beautiful hotel is amazing. When you go there, and you will, go to the bar at 5pm and tell Roberto Kathleen and Michael say ciao. The rooms are elegant. The service to amazing. The food is to die for, wait till you see breakfast. The attention to detail is every where and when you travel as much as we do you notice these things. Ps.... Be sure to get your photo with Guiseppe, the manager. He will pay very close attention to what you like
"Average hotel, AWFUL food."

Disappointingly shabby hotel - rooms and bathrooms look like they were last refurbished in the early 1980s. Lovely staff, and great location, but the half-board food for dinner is truly awful - cheapest of the cheap, and just bland, tasteless and overcooked.
"A good tour base"
09/15/14 Doreen L Oxford, United Kingdom
This hotel is well situated for tours of Tuscany which is evidenced by the large number of group tours which stay there. It is well equipped with wifi in rooms. The bed linens are very crisp and clean though the beds and pillows were rather too firm for my liking. There is no room service to speak of but the staff are friendly and courteous. One small criticism is that the tour groups do get rather second class treatment in the dining room. The menu is boring and repetitive. There is little fish on the menu being mainly chicken and meats. The breakfast is not good. There is little variety of fruits and only some scrambled egg as a cooked dish. The same breakfast every day.

The hotel is lovely but it is the staff (all of them without exception) who made the stay special and memorable. Despite being exceptionally busy they always had the time to speak to the guests and ask how their day had been. The room was good; housekeeping top notch; food good; pool area very peaceful and all public areas were beautiful. The hotel was just a few minutes from the station and it was very easy to travel to Florence, Pisa, Lucca, Viareggio. I can't think of anything that could be improved.

Our fifth year of returning to this splendid hotel. Relaxing atmosphere and beautiful staff. Guiseppe is like one of the family, attentive, generous and caring. Roberto had been poorly so sadly only returned on our last night, but made it a fun ending to our holiday. See you next year guys!!!

Stayed at this hotel 2nd to 9th August 2014 (room 401). Couldn't fault anything. Location, cleanliness, food, all really good . The staff in the dining room and on reception, were both friendly and professional, nothing was too much trouble. Would stay here again. Julie& Martin Bury Lancashire England.

This hotel is absolutely amazing! It looks beautiful, great location and the food is fantastic! But best of all was the super friendly staff, they really made us feel welcome and gave us a wonderful stay in Montecatini! Thank you! I would recommend this to everyone!
