"Basic Motel for good price"
It's ok for a place to crash and the price was right. Amenities were towels and bars of soap in the bathroom. I'm not sure if they have shampoo at the front desk, I didn't ask. "Dirty and lots of loud drunks throughout the place"
The lady asked at check in what floor we wanted. I asked if they had a lot of empty rooms. She said they did, so I said the floor didn't matter, but please put us somewhere without anyone next to us if possible. This was because in the lobby alone there were about a dozen people beyond drunk. She then put us in a room next to a couple who were drunk […] and screaming at each other. I went down and asked to be moved. This time Ben helped us and he couldn't have been nicer. Great customer service from Ben being wasted on a bad hotel. He should definitely be hired by one of the nicer hotels in the area. He did put us in a room with no one next door. Unfortunately, although it was a non-smoking room the comforter was riddled with cigarette burns and the room stunk. Pulled back the comforter and the blanket had hair all over it. At least the sheets looked clean. The carpets throughout the halls and room had food crumbs everywhere. The place was disgusting and I will never stay there again. Ben was the only bright spot and I hope another hotel snatches him up, because he definitely knows how to treat the customer. The room was not pristine when I got there, but it was okay if a bit worn or dirty. It was hard to tell at 11:30 PM. There were drunk individuals making noise most of the night. My recent stay at the Anchorage Motel 6 was marked primarily by the noise of the guest in the room above me. At 2am they were rolling something around on the floor for a good half hour so that sleep was impossible. I called the front desk to ask them to do something about it, which they did. What followed was such a lot of loud talking that again I […] had to call the front desk. They called me back to report that what I heard was the high volume on the TV upstairs....the clerk said, "Sorry about that, the walls in this place are really thin." The walls are really thin? In a name brand hotel? When I combine all this with the several cigarette holes on the blanket in my non-smoking room, I was left with an impression of a pretty trashy place. Especially for $150 a night. This was my first and last stay at the Anchorage Motel 6, which shares a location with Fairfield Inn and Crowne Plaza, both of which have always been great for me.
