"Indy trip for concert at Egyptian Room"
Nice trip had a good time. The downtown was the best, good bars and foodGenuine Expedia guest review
There were no hotel services. It met the need to sleep and be indoors. The beds were uncomfortable, bathroom was very small for a 2 bedroom suite. The location was the main plus for it.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The furnishings are VERY outdated. The springs in the sofa are flat, making a very uncomfortable place to sit.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
It was nice.. We still had to drive down town and was not sure about shuttles. Only place close to is the zooGenuine Hotels.com guest review
This hotel is not really in the city center. It is an extended stay hotel. It was nice to have a 2 bedroom suite (apartment). But the upstairs neighbors played very loud "boom boom" music until 4am, there were freight trains running through the night and a truck that kept roaming around the parking lot moving things.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Hotel was close to the SPEEDWAY,"
Was a lot of room will stay here next year for the Indy 500. Thank you!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"ok For the price."
We stayed for Indy weekend. The price was right, the location was good and it was very quiet. It wasn't the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed at, but for the price and only 2 nights it was good for our purpose.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
City Center motel implies being in the downtown area. Google directions were terrible. We were never told there would be no maid service during the day.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"2013 Indy 500 Race Weekend"
I was pleasantly surprised with this hotel. Yes, maybe part dorm - but the room we had was large, clean, with full kitchen and living room. A welcome change to several poor quality motels we have stayed in on previous race dates. Plenty of parking and we felt safe around the hotel grounds. About 3 miles to the Indy 500 track, we walked it - but one […] could drive part way and park at a business on 16th St. for $20. After the race the town turns 16th St. into one way, all lanes going East - so park accordingly. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Nice place and a bit unusual as well. If you check-in after hours, you have to go to the hotel across the driveway to get your key. My room was unusually large and had 2 TV's. It had a kitchen, but no garbage cans anywhere in the place. There was a huge living room and the bedroom had its own door. The staff was very friendly and helpful. There are […] places to get food delivered, but anyplace to eat is a VERY long walk away. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Hotel or Dorm?"
It wasn't clear if this was a hotel or dorm, but we found out later it was both. The initial meeting with the front desk was not very friendly/helpful, but she ended up being very friendly and helpful (maybe because she's used to dealing with rude college kids.) It smelled like smoke on our non-smoking floor and room. The room was nice and big and quite […] clean at the very least. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"one night stay tolerable"
This is a dorm. I would not have stayed longer than the one night. The rooms were clean, but there was an old cigarette smell in the rooms and hallway. Blinds on the windows did not keep out parking lot lighting that made the bedrooms as light as day during the night. This was my first booking with hotels.com. Next time I'll read more than the first […] review. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Ok stay for the money"
We were there for just the weekend, but the rooms were clean and large enough to use as living quarters for an extended period. We wish we had been a little closer to the downtown which is what we thought we were getting when we read the ads. The hotel did offer a 5 dollar shuttle ride during daylight hours and we caught a 10 dollar cab home at night […] which ended up costing us about the same as it would have to park at a downtown hotel. The place was clean and comfortable, and we felt safe. But I wouldn't have wanted to venture too far away on foot at night. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Close to downtown"
Quiet, clean, and comfortable. Really enjoyed the ful kitchen.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
If our room was smoke free like we requested, it sure didn't smell like it. The place "looked" clean and was for the most part but burn marks on the couch and overall stale smell of smoke in the room left us no choice but to only be in the room for sleeping purposes only. For the price however, the room was twice the size we needed with a full kitchen, […] tv room, and spare bedroom. I'd recommend it to anyone who needs to stay multiple nights or getaways with other couples. I'd stay again if I was on a budget and only needed a place to sleep. The room was really clean and everyone really nice and helpful. It is a bit old and would need fresh painting.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Stay away from it!"
The hotel was not flexible with early check ins. When booking it was not mentioned that the hotel is used as university dorms. When I got to my room the hallways smelled of smoke, music was very loud, shower water temperature was unable to be moderated. Called to the hotel desk to ask for music to be lowered and it was in vain. The same happened the […] second night of stay. This is not a HOTEL, but rather a dorm residence. VERY unhappy that this place even appears as an option on this website. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Close to IU Hospital"
Hotel location was very conventient for our appt next day at the IU Hosp. Staff very pleasand and the room was supplied with everything we needed. We were just sorry we only had a 1 night stay. Ten dollar taxi ride from the center of down town it was the perfect location at a great price.Genuine Expedia guest review
"One night stay"
We arrived late and when entering the building was a little surprized at the check in process. There wasn't a front desk to speak of , but a office desk behind a glass wall. The lady was friendly enough and got our room key quickly. We weren't sure of the type of facility it really is because of the number of bikes out side the front entrance. Student […] housing or extended stay maybe? The room was more of a apartment than a hotel room and very dated. We will be going back to the regular hotel room the next time we travel to Indy. I will say it is very convenient to IU medical center, but still not our chose in the future. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Close to where my meetings were."
I was impressed with the room. It had everything I needed for my 5 day stay. I was however, disappointed when I found out it is owned by IUPUI and it was mostly college students living there. They were very loud on my floor, running up and down the hallway, slamming doors and yelling. The room was a little warm, but finally found out how to control […] the temperature. Too bad Indianapolis is smoke-free. I would've enjoyed being able to smoke considering the price I had to pay to stay there, but overall enjoyed my stay. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
I was not satisfied at all, this hotel doubles as a college dorm. My room and hallway smelled like cigarette smoke.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Affordable and good location for university and sp"
After dealing with a couple of maintenance issues, the room was fine. The rooms are old but clean. Staff is only there during business hours and then duties are turned over to the hotel across the walkway. Lots of families and university students. Free wi-fi was a plus and the signal is strong everywhere.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Rude service, great location and nice room"
Everyone in the family encountered very rude and abrupt service from the front desk at every single encounter. No ProCare discount rate in spite of being told by the hospital. Free shuttle service to/from the hospital not provided per the hotel. Room was spacious and clean. Arrange everything through Hotels.Com and bypass the front desk as much as possible, […] even an extension of your stay. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Would never stay here again even for free."
It was like an old dorm room hotel. Hotel is a very fancy word for this place. The carpet smelled like stale beer. Only one elevator worked. We had to walk to the next building to get our own towels. The pool was the best part.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
You all need newer furniture and better air conditioning services. Overall the stay was ok, heard occasional noises while sleeping. I did not know you all did not provide restaurant services, which was a surprise.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The only complaint I have is that the room was a little warm for my comfort even with the air turned all the way up.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Indy500 - 2012"
This was a fantastic location for the Indy500 weekend. Every hotel was either sold out or asking a ridiculous amount, so this was exactly what we needed. I'm hoping there was a renovation going on (perhaps halted for the event weekend?) Light-bulbs were missing from sockets, the deadbolt had no hole to enter in the wall and the blinds were cut the wrong […] size for the window (letting massive light in at dawn). Great price for an apartment style hotel, would've preferred two twin beds or one king rather than a queen and a living-room. The couch is a pull-out but ours was an inch thin. Plenty of parking, cop station down the street, quite (room next door had a party and we didn't hear a thing!) Highly recommend for Indy weekend, if I were to visit Indianapolis again on a different weekend, probably stay downtown. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Hospital visit stay"
For the price we paid and close location to hospitals, it was satisfactory. It's better than staying at the RMH since you have more privacy and room. Don't expect anything fancy or as nice as an average hotel (I.e. Holiday Inn, Hampton). It's kind of run down looking on the inside, no pics on the walls, pretty basic. Had lots of room, closet space and […] nice kitchenette. Beds were comfortable and plenty of linens. It served its purpose since we had to stay for a week. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

No hotel servIce per se. This is a dorm complex converted into rented rooms. Air conditioning was very poor in the bedrooms , and fair in living room.Very bad smell in room, and our friends room also had a smell?? THIS IS NOT A HOTEL. "Near the Speedway"
It's our fault we got lost on the way so that when we arrived we were disoriented. Once we realized how accessible downtown and the Speedway were we were in much better spirits. "Musty dorm room"
I was shocked when we arrived and learned that the "hotel" was actually where students from the local college were campused. The room was large...kitchen, sitting area, bedroom, and bathroom. "Experience and Overall satifaction"
My overall experience and satisfaction of the Park Place at Center City was not very good. When I arrived in my room, I found that it smelled of cigarettes or some other type of smoking material. Is was unable to get the smell out of my room by opening windows for the length of my stay at the hotel. The front desk personnel were not very welcoming or […] approachable when I voiced my concerns about the room. I found out early in my stay that the shuttle service to the Indianapolis downtown area was not timely. I had to walk back to the hotel (2.5 miles) due to the shuttle service not being on time and ending their shuttle service at inconvenient times during my stay in the Indianapolis area. I would not recommend this hotel to others and will seek other accommodations in the future when I come back to the Indianapolis area. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Do not stay here..."
Wow, not at all what I expected. There was no lobby at all and no service at all. The rooms were very old and nasty with the backsplash pulling away from the wall in the kitchen and a ceiling fan in the corner of the room over an end table next to the couch. The TVs were ancient, the furniture was not comfortable and the water smelled funny. Bizarre […] use of space as there was a strange room to the left of the bathroom where the breaker box was located and a string from the ceiling to pull to turn the light on. There was also a HUGE closet off the bedroom (which made no sense to me) with no place to hang closthes. I truly did not want to touch anything and was very worried about bringing about creatures home with me. Got stuck here as all downtown hotels were booked up for the FDIC Conference. Never again! "You get what you pay for."
I read the reviews and I thought... How bad could it be? First you have to understand what this hotel is. It is a long term stay hotel. The people that stay here are mainly students from the local medical school and family members of patients that are in the cancer hospital near the hotel. That being said, the 1st room I was in had been smoked in and […] smelled horrible. They moved me to a single room and it was somewhat better. The Taxi driver that drove me from the airport advised me not to walk from downtown "as I planed to do" he stated that some of the areas that I would walk through are not safe. This could be a ploy for me to use a taxi insead of walking. As far as the area, I never felt uneasy about the area and the hotel was very secure. Key cards had to be used to get inside the front door after dark and also to get into each wing of rooms. Some bad things: 1: They do not provide housekeeping service, after 4 days my trash was overflowing. 2: The AC is controlled by the outside temp, so if it is cool outside then the AC and the fan motor will not work. I had to sleep with the window open. 3: The room was outdated and need sereral repairs Good things: 1: Room was very large 2: The hotel was quite 3: They are next to the Candlewood suites and they provide a shuttle service downtown which you are allowed to ride. 4: The shuttle driver "Terry" was a big ambassador for the Candlewood and the City of Indy. "Park Place and Candlewood hotels in Indy"
I liked the room and the hotel. It was nice and a good deal. It was about 2 miles from downtown center Indianapolis and there was a shuttle service. The thing is I was told after riding it for free the first day and I injuried about possibly missing the shuttle, then I was charged five dollars per ride each way because I was told the two hotels that […] were next to each other were "sister" hotels only and mine didn't include the free shuttle. "Highly recommended-- would stay there again"
Staying at the Park Place at City Centre was a great experience. We got a good deal for going during the Big Ten basketball tournament, and we even walked to downtown Indy once and it wasn't that bad of a walk at all. Staff was very friendly and they upgraded our room so that was a bonus as well.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Park Place at City Center"
The room was great untill I went to sleep. I found two bugs crawling on the bedspread. Yes it was clean, the room was like a small apt. for an extremely low price but the bugs on the bed.... I ended up sleeping on the couch!! Not too comfy. It turns out they weren't bed bugs but any bug is bad. everything else though was great.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"A pleasant stay - Park Place at City Centre"
I was pleasantly surprised as I entered my suite during a short visit to Indianapolis. My meeting didn't include resources for an expensive stay - and the very appropriate rates were indeed matched with a very comfortable and sizeable suite. I'll return!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Good For An Independent Stay!"
This is a no frills hotel! They don't have daily cleaning (clean once a week), but I loved it. The room was stated to be a one bedroom suite, but when I arrived, I was pleased to get a two bedroom apartment, with a living room and an efficiency-like kitchen with full size appliances! This was a great place to relax and had plenty of space for two people. […] To my knowledge, there was no breakfast or anything. It was like renting an apartment for 4 nights! Once they give you the key, you are on your own, but they are available if you need something. I will stay here again! It's not as convenient as staying in downtown Indy, but it is MUCH less expensive...you can take a cab downtown for $5 or drive and park your car. On average, it was about a 7-10 minute trip, including parking, to the convention center. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
I had a whole different expectation about this hotel. It was a pleasant surprise to discover that it was really big and comfortable. Vere well equiped, had everething necesary to a pleaseant stay. The little kitchen was very practical and eficient. The people at the front desk were very helpfull and kind with all my my questions and requests. The […] only thing is that it's a little far away from the city center (45 min. walk). I had no car and were mainly walking and in bus, but with a good weather (wich unfurtunately I didn't had) it's a beutifull scenery to have a walk. It has its own shuttle to downtown though, and just outside the hotel is a bus station for regular bus. Overall, a great option at an afordable price for staying in Indianapolis. The hotel was very nice, if a bit far from the convention center. For reasons I can't even figure out, I reserved a 2-room suite, even though I was there alone, so I had MORE than enough room. When I first got to the room, neither of the 2 TV remotes worked, but they were replaced Very Quickly with 2 that did work. Probably within 10-15 minutes from […] the time I called the front desk, before I had working remotes. I was only in town for the Gen Con convention, and didn't spend any time using any of the other facilities the hotel had to offer. The entire suite was in Excellent shape overall, and I'm already considering staying there again next year. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"I will be booking again next time in Indy."
Our room was more than we expected, and I had read the reviews before booking. We arrived thinking we had a room with one bed, and actually checked into a 2 bedroom suite. The kitchen was great, the room is a litle dated but served our purpose perfectly. It does have the college dorm feel with all the kids around, but they didn't bother us at all.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
