The Hampton's location is great if you are attending an event at the CajunDome. Less than 10i minutes from hotel to dome.

I enjoyed my stay here! The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the location was within 3 blocks of my destination, so that was great. The hot tub was warm, and the elliptical smooth. To top it off, the bed was unbelievably comfortable! I WILL stay there again the next time I am in Lafayette!

Front desk lady was so pleasent and kind! Smiled everytime I came to desk and gave great directions and help for the local area!! I wish the A/C unit was able to continuously run. It kept shutting on and off....made it hard to sleep for a light sleeper. Breakfast was great, mostly cause it was free!

Not much. We chose this hotel based on reviews by previous guests. When we arrived, we were exhausted. We found candy wrappers and human hair in one of the two beds in our room, used towells piled in the closet, and snack chip remnants and paper on the hotel room floor. It was obvious to us that housekeep must have believed that the "candy wrapper" […] bed was never used, that housekeeping never check the closet after the previous guests departed, and that the room was not vacuumed. Since we were so tired, we decided to sleep in the queen bed that appeared to be clean and not go through a "room change" situation. Upon reporting the problems the next morning, the hotel staff never came to our room to verify the problems, but rather the hotel front dest indicated that they would give our concerns to the "head housekeeper" (why not the General Manager???). In our experience over the years, using hotels which have a 4+ rating has been very satisfactory, but certainly not in this instance. This was our first experience with as Wingate by Wyndham hotel and it certainly will be our last. Read more

The sound proofing in the ceiling was horrible. I could hear every step in room above mine. The desk and end table tops were sticky. All pillows were all too lofty. No variety for side sleepers. Each time the key card had to be inserted repeatedly before the room door would open. My stay at the Wingate/Wyndham in Lafayette was very pleasant to say the least. The room was very nicely furnished and decorated, the bathroom was large enough with a great shower head that actually could be adjusted easily. A full breakfast bar (Eggs, Bacon, Sausage, Biscuits, bagels, fresh made waffles, coffee etc) was offered in the morning. New (or well maintained). Friendly staff. Occupancy was rather high when I stayed so breakfast "spread" wasn't up to par from a quantity standpoint. Otherwise great selection.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room could have been dusted better and the coffee maker in the room was dirty. Over all, it was a nice hotel for the money. The breakfast was good and the staff continued to put fresh eggs and sausage out. They made sure that it was well stocked even close to the end the end of the serving time.

OMG! This had to be one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. Beds, pillows, breakfast, and CUSTOMER SERVICE was GREAT! I will stay here again and again!! I will refer this hotel to all of my friends! 5 star for this hotel thanks to the employees, especially the breakfast crew! Hats off to all!

Having never stayed at this hotel I wasn't sure what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised. It was very, very clean. The beds and pillows were sooo comfortable. I slept like a baby. I definitely would stay there again.
