The location could not have been better, but as a double room it was really tight for two people. My friend and I had many activities and appointments which was a good thing because spending too much time in the room would have given us claustrophobia.

A larger Room than other similarly priced hotels in Chelsea. Excellent WiFi a desk and an arm chair are essentials that other local hotels lack one of those essential items . A little over priced but rationalized the cost since breakfast is included at the restaurant located on the hotel lobby . I will return as long as my finance department does not balk at slightly exceeding $300 per night cap.

Our stay was very last-minute, but the staff were gracious and willing to accommodate us on short notice. The hotel itself is absolutely flawless, as are the rooms. This is one of the best neighborhoods in NYC, to be sure.

Had a great experience staying at Indigo Hotel! Was there for 5 nights. Staff was friendly and helpful. Great location in Chelsea flower district. The resturant Stix was fantastic had drinks or ate there everyday. This will definitely be my new spot whenever I stay in the city. Price was very reasonable.

Right by the #1metro line to go to Broadway plays, or stay on for a few more stops and get off at Central Park. Cute hotel with very comfortable beds. Small but nice rooms. We were there for the second time and will for sure return to this location when we need a Chelsea fix.

Booked two rooms here for 5 people visiting from LA for 3 days/3 nights. I like where this hotel is located as it's one block from the 1 train which takes you all the way up to West Bronx and all the way down to South Ferry and runs through all the main attractions like Times Square, Canal Street, One World Trade, etc. There's not too much to do directly outside the hotel as it's located in the "Flower" district so the hotel does seem out of place, but once you walk into the lobby, you're in a whole new world.

The hotel is located a few blocks from Penn Station and MSG in the flower middle of the flower district. Because there really isn't anything else nearby, if you are returning to your hotel late at night, it makes for a dark walk. The lobby is tiny and doesnt feel welcoming. The check-in desk can fit 2 maybe 3 people and there is a long couch by the elevator that can seat maybe 4 people and thats it. Our room was very small as well. No bathtub just a small shower. We are used to NYC hotels but was a little disappointed in this one for the amount that we paid. They may have been going for chic but it comes off a little unwelcoming instead.

The hotel was much more basic than I was expecting. The room felt dingy and there was mold in the shower. The hotel also had a strange smell. The staff was friendly but the over all conditions of the hotel left much to be desired.

This is the 1st time we stayed in a hotel in NYC where you had room to walk around! Great closet space with room for my husband and I. We were celebrating our anniversary and the clerk at the front desk gave us 2 $15.00 vouchers to spend on amenities in the room. We will definitely stay again. :)

I stayed here about 5 years ago and it was awesome. This time, the hotel seems to have done a cheap upgrade. My bathroom was very nice, until you look more closely and see the paint peeling off of the masking tape on the ceiling that was painted over and the smears of paint on the shower tile. Also, the restaurant and roof bar was closed without any notice to those with reservations. Not the same experience.

If you book with a low rate, be prepared to be on the lowest floor facing an air shaft. Low as in second floor. At least in the back so quieter than front. Front desk staff stand at their post like mannequins during the day. They make a mild effort to be pleasant but their disdain for the low rate you booked is all to apparent. My suggestion for management -- treat all your guests equally and cut the false pleasantries.

We recently stayed at The Hotel Indigo Chelsea (me, husband, daughter, and lab/chow mix dog). We had a suite that was large for NYC and they were terrific about the dog. This was the first hotel our dog was able to settle down in easily and he was not anxious or barking when we left to do things around the City. We loved being on W 28th street with the wholesale flower sellers and the City hustle and bustle. Our rate was super because the restaurant is currently closed for renovation, but that did not concern us as there are plenty of nearby food options.

this is a very nice hotel with very comfortable beds. It is unfortunate the restaurant was closed during our stay but this was due to renovation. There was also no hotel bar. A minor criticism is that we reserved the room for 4 people -but only three towels were provided. All double rooms should have 4 towels. Another criticism relates to the trucks that deliver the flowers- there was some early morning delivery noise in the district that woke us up.

Experience was great. Staff was extremely friendly and hotel was very nice. My room for the most part was very clean, but it would have been nice to have fresh clean glasses and coffee cups the next day and cream and sugar for the coffee. Other than that, experience was great. Thank you.

The hotel was perfect for me and my daughter, who was touring the nearby Fashion Institute of Technology. We were steps away from FIT on this street that is lined with busy flower markets. Nearby was also subway station and we were within walking distance of Empire State Building, Madison Square Garden, Broadway and Times Square. The hotel itself had pleasing decor and friendly staff. There was some construction (August 2014) and it was right outside our room on the second floor, but we slept in one day and it really didn't bother us at all.

My daughter and I stayed here for 4 nights and really enjoyed the location as well as the beautiful and spacious room. One evening we had to get a rollaway because a friend of hers decided to stay in the city. The room was still very spacious even with the rollaway. Front desk staff as well as the staff in the breakfast room were very helpful. I will definitely stay here again since the location is very central to everything in NYC.

My husband and I stayed here and neither one of us can think of any idea for improvements or any complaints. The hotel was very walkable to transportation and major attractions like the empire state building, times square, bryant park, etc. The room was nice, the king bed comfy, and the staff very friendly. Overall a good experience and I'd definitely recommend it to anyone looking to stay in the area!

Checked in slightly early. Got a nice, light room facing 28th St. Modern, simple decor. The room was small, but well-designed. Wireless was not great. Bathroom was small, but well-designed and everything worked well. The TV was not working, but a staff person showed up right away to fix it. The lobby and restaurant were under construction. Overall a very nice place to stay. Very quiet for that part of town.

Room was nice and not so small for New York. It appeared to have been updated recently. Bed was comfortable. Air conditioning worked well. Our 9th floor room was quiet, and the street was fairly quiet, too, despite nearby construction. Very close to a subway station, which we used often to easily get around. Other stations are a reasonable walk away. The restaurant and rooftop bar were both closed for renovation, but there are many other options a block or so away.

It's convenient if you're looking for a hotel near MSG, Flatiron and Chelsea. It's a nice hotel, rooms aren't too small as usually Manhattan hotels have very small rooms. The Blu restaurant downstairs is nice & convenient. I would stay here again.

I was pleased with stay overall. Front desk staff was kind and efficient, room size was fine for an overnight business trip - bigger than I expected for NYC. Shower was nice and climate control in room was right on and comfortable. The location was convenient for me to and from meeting in Chelsea area and to and from Penn Station. Many reasonable casual dinning options within one or two blocks. I would stay again when in town on business.

Depending on what rate you get, this could be quite a good deal on a nice, convenient place to stay. It's simultaneously no-frills (no pushy bellhops, pressure to tip) with nice touches (free wifi, lots of cable channels, quality products in the bathroom set) in just the right proportions. If I could get the same rate again I'd happily stay here in the future.

My daughter and I had a wonderful stay at the Hotel Indigo. We were in the City for college tours. The staff was friendly, professional and willing to help. The room was clean and contemporary -- just enough space for a stay in New York. It was great to step out every morning and be among the wholesale flower vendors on the block. It was fine. We didn't spend much time in the hotel. A couple gripes: the rooftop bar was closed for renovation and none of the rooms has a bathtub. Also the shower has no door and the design allows some water to splash onto the bathroom floor when showering. Otherwise the place is fine and just a block to the subway.

The Indigo in Chelsea is an amazing value for money. Not the nicest hotel I've ever stayed in but very clean, comfortable and centrally located for a surprisingly low cost. Would highly recommend.

The hotel was very convenient to my work. The staff were friendly. I had one of the larger rooms, and it is not that big. I had hoped to be able to do yoga in my room, but there wasn't the space. There is pretty much a bed, a chair, a desk and a long entry hallway. But, it was clean and quiet and the furniture showed only minimal wear and tear.

The hotel was lovely and staff was great. My only complaint was our room service breakfast. It was really substandard for the price. Coffee served in paper cups, paper napkins. We decided to splurge and get it in the room and our omelet and eggs benny were terrible. Otherwise the room was great.
