      Stayed at the Econo Lodge for two nights during a recent stay in Calgary. The hotel was an older building, but the rooms were clean and actually very quiet considering that the hotel was located right on McLeod Trail. It was very conveniently located for everything we were doing in SW and SE Calgary and getting to downtown was very easy. The only think I was a bit disappointed in was the state of the pool area and the exercise room. The exercise facility was very small with only three pieces of equipment, one of which..the recumbent bike was broken. The jacuzzi hot tub was only luke warm, but this may have been because it wasn't used much and was off for a long period of time. It took quite a while to warm up and never did get really hot. The continental breakfast was just the basic fare, although not much different from what is offered in most other budget hotels. All in all we had a pleasant two day stay in this hotel and considering the lower cost of our room, we would certainly stay here again in the future.

      Enjoyed the Hotel, room was quite, great view, lots of restaurants and shopping nearby. Hotel is situated in light industrial area which is ALWAYS my preference instead of a residential area. You get alot less walk by traffic which usually means less theft and vandalism, had no issues at all at this site.

    It is time for renovation .... bath tubs are at least 30 years old, so does the furniture look like and the TV. Even though they try to clean everything very good, but that old dirt you cannot remove without renovation.

    This is a very old motel. They have made efforts to maintain and keep it in good working order. It really needs to be renovated. With that said, it did have newer carpets and beds were comfortable. It is hard to say it was bad becasue with such great rates, its not that bad. We stayed three nights and it meet our needs.     The hotel room is neat. Pretty good set of facilities for the price. Breakfast area is small (it is in the hotel lobby). It can get crowded easily in the morning. You get what you pay for. So, don't expect fancy breakfast.

    This is the cheapest hotel in Motel Village in Calgary. The location is excellent, but it is a very old hotel!! The room isn't the cleanest and the supplies of soap, shampoo and kleenex are very skimpy. I can put all that aside, but the mouse was the limit.     Well, it wasn't the Ritz, it wasn't the Holiday Inn, but it was very comfortable, presentation was awesome, the staff was very friendly and helpful. My stay was very comfortable and I will come again.

    I was vnot expecting the room to be that large and clean. After seeing the office i was surprised that the breakfast had so much to choose from. I also like the fact that it's so close to Boston Pizza. I would stay there again for sure.

    For the price we paid, we were more than happy with our stay. Bonus was the continental breakfast. We stayed before, will stay again and have told friends if they would like an inexpensive place, this is it. Only thing is parking is a little tight. Great restaurants close by as well. Very convenient location.

    Beds very uncomfortable, Very small and old TV poor connection so it was difficult to watch TV, internet connection was very slow and poor, breakfast area was too small and cramped, bathroom door kept jamming and the water in the shower was continously changing from hot to cold during the entire shower. The towels were very worn out with holes and strings. […] The staff in the office was very nice and we thought the room was really clean and the pool was nice but our room was very dated and needs updating.     Very good, will come again. Nice and quiet in the back. Could use new flooring in the two rooms we've been in so far. Did not have the breakfast, so cannot comment on that. Staff all very friendly.

    Definitely was an old motel. Ended up in a smoking room when none of us smoked but for a smoking room the smell wasn't really noticeable. Decent continental breakfast and Boston pizza being in the parking lot was a plus. Staff wasn't very friendly though.

    The stay was sum ok, but very poor air conditioning. It was a very hot day about 27- 30 degrees and the room felt like that too. Sure needs new units in their rooms. Lucky they had a window we could open, but that didn't do a great amount until about 4 - 5 in the morning.

    We chose this hotel because of its proximity to our destination in Calgary and it's price. Hotel is older and looks it, but is very clean. The beds were comfortable and the room quite spacious. Would stay there again.
