The personnel of the hotel was really kind and helpful. The place was tidy and clean and the decoration is somehow minimalistic but comfortable and combined in a good taste manner. It is a bit like a modern art museum at the same time that a hotel. The room was mostly white but had a nice touch of color thanks to the mural on the wall. The personnel at the entrance asked me if I wanted a room in the back to avoid noise or on the street side, I took the street side on the fourth floor and was not noisy. The only downside my mother found was that the cleaning staff didnt replenish the shower cap, but I loved the hotel so much it really didn't matter, and she didn't ask for another shower cap anyway so you can't really blame the staff. Cable is great plus you get to select movies from their list of choices. Free WIFI All in all, GREAT hotel, I would love to stay there again next year, it's close to everything and esepcially close to my grandmother's house so I'm 100% satisfied. I recommend it to anyone. This is a wonderful hotel in Madrid. It's not in the center, but close to several metro stops including Ave des Americas and Diego de Leon. Breakfast was a wonderful selection of meats, cheeses, pastries, juices and fruits as well as scrambled eggs and bacon and local favs like Spanish omelet and toasted bread with tomatoes and olive oil. I would highly recommend this hotel to everyone specially my family and friends. In my opinion It should be a 5 star hotel instead of a 4 star. Very clean and whitest white towels. Rooms are very comfortable and feels very clean unlike some hotels. Location is very good too. Very convenient to the metro to go all around Madrid.

The hotel was modern, clean, tidy, had excellent staff, and a good breakfast. The food and drinks are no more expensive than anyother cafe or bar in the city. The only negitive is the distance from the centre. It's only two miles, give or take, but it is a hard two miles, especially when it is 18 degrees. I went in low season - the high season in Spain […] is the end of March until the end of October. I don't mind walking, but after a day of walking around the city and it's art galleries, the walk home was a killer - fortunately there are a few bars and cafes to stop off at. The area is considered one of the wealthiest in Madrid but around the hotel I found it relativily cheap for a capital city - cheaper than Barcelona surprisingly. If you are on a business trip or want a hotel which is fairly quiet at night, this is the correct choice. If it's your first time in the city, then go for one nearer the centre. The bar is closed on Monday's, but I imagine this is only in low season. After a day of treking over the city, and the route march back to base, I had a selection of about 30 channels on the television for free, aswell as around 12 free films. All in all, a very good experience - I can't complain. The towels were changed daily, I had a good bed, clean sheets, and the place was relativily quiet. Good hotel, would use again - one word of advice - don't drink too much vino tinto or you'll end up doubling back on yourself! Read more

I liked this hotel. 14 of us stayed there for 2 days in July. Metro station is 5 minutes away. Neighborhood lacks of a good and affordable restaurants choice. Nice comfortable hotel had brekfast out so cannot comment handy to football stadium and went to see Real Madrid playing 15mins by Metro to city centre. Airport bus no 200 only took 15mins in to Avenida de America. The stop is just around the corner from the hotel. Went there when I was 60 left 5 days later at 30. Did my cinema heart the world of good with a staff eager to please clean rooms nice size and most importantly no noise nice bar really good dinner and a very adequate breakfast a little out of the way but €1.50 bus ride and your in the action. I found this hotel very unusual. The movie themed rooms were intriguing. We ended up with the GodFather room with a characiture mural inspired by the film. It would have been nive to maybe have been given the option of rooms but as our flights were late and didn't arive in Madrid till after 11pm we were happy enough to take anything. We had breakfast included which was billed as continental but would say it wwas more buffet as there was plenty of options and if you couldn't find something then you are very fussy. The rooms are all movie themed and we were given the Buster Keaton room, nicely designed and more than what we expected. It isn't too far from a couple of the Metro stations, and it's also close to the Avenida de Americas which is good for anyone tranferring from the airport by Taxi or arranged collection. Lastly, if you plan to spend some time inside then definitely see what's on the TV - the hotel has it's own entertainment system (we only discovered this 15 minutes before leaving) that has explanations of all the artist designed rooms and free movies (with translations) amongst other features. This was my first trip to Madrid. The hotel was extremely clean and very unique. The decor was great fun and the rooms were fantastic. Really modern with good facilities. My only down side was that it was quite a way into the City. About 40 minutes walk, although there are buses that run regularly. I would recommend this hotel.

We stayed at the Dormirdcine Cooltural rooms hotel for 3 nights in september 2011 for our wedding anniversary. The hotel itself was built in 2010, and still has a very new feel to it, the staff are very well trained and were on hand whenever we needed them to answer a question or to give advice on getting around. The location is slightly out of Madrid […] city centre, but there is a bus 100m from the hotel front door (the 53) which takes you in to Puerto Del Sol, the main square of Madrid, which runs every 10 mins or so and costs just €1.50 for a ticket. The area itself is not too bad, just not a great deal going on around there in the evening, but if you walk a few streets over there are quite a number of bars, restaurants etc. we went to these each night, and never ate or drank in the hotel so I can't say what the bar or restaurant are like. Each room has a different movie / director theme, which as a movie buff was a bonus. We stayed in the Michael Gondry room (wanted the Batman one though!) and the room was very stylish, with very cool lighting. If I were to return to Madrid I would certainly stay here again. The decor was amusing, the restaurant food was reasonably priced, local and covered parking is available, the staff were helpful and courteous, the room clean and properly equipped including broadband, there were original films on the in-house TV service at no extra cost, and the price was ridiculously low for the city of Madrid. Arrived at the hotel about 10:30 and room is ready for us with a big bed and a nice cold room. Take line 8 (pink) from the airport two stops to Mar de Cristal line 4 (brown). We got off at Avenida De America, exit on Principe de Vergara and it took us 10 mins to get to the hotel, it is easy to find if my girlfriend can find it I am sure you can..Staff […] are very frindly and helpful, explained everything about the hotel and breakfast plus a map to visit the city. The hotel is about 20 mins on foot to Grand Via and we are in the Salamanca area where most expensive shops such Gucci, Louis vuitton Prada are located with many nice restaurants and lot of local around. From hotel we tend to walk everywhere or take metro from Avenida De America to Alonso Martínez and walk from there. we visit Spain a few times but Madrid is the first and we love it, so green and beautiful. We always have lunch at Mercado De San Micuel, it is like a big market with lots of food near Plaza Maryor YUM. We can say we visit all the places on foot including Palacio, Sol, Retiro Park, Egyptian Temple of Debod and Salamanca just a few steps from the hotel. Charming, very comfortable, spotless, with character: this place isn't going to stay such a bargain too long. Perfect for a calm a leisurely visit to Madrid. The location, in fact, is quite good, though it is not in the thick of things. Good to the metro and to the airport (either by metro, or by bus from the Ave de Americas bus station), a short walk […] to the shops on Serrano, to Museo Lazaro Galdiano and Fundacion Juan March, only a bit longer to the National Arqueological Museum and the National Library. My only reason to put less than the perfect mark for location is that Barrio Salamanca is beyond burgeois, almost embarassingly so. It is Madrid at its spiffiest: and most retrograde. Even the protest stickers on the walls around here are, mostly, fascist (though, of course, one can't blame this hotel for this :) ). You'd have to take the metro to livelier/less "reactionary" parts of town. A little peeve: please keep more North American-to-European adapters for rechargin things; in my 2 days here they could only offer me the British-to-European adapter, which didn't do the trick, obviously. A very different hotel with all the art work to look at could keep you busy for hours. The room was very good with comfortable bed and ameneties as well as the staff being very friendly and helpful. Also the breakfast was well worth the little bit extra we paid. If i go to Madrid again i would most certainly make a return stay.
