The location is excellent, within walking distance of historic neighborhood and great restaurants. The breakfasts and snacks were excellent. I had day- long meetings while there and the B&B delivered lunch to us every day for a reasonable charge. The Victorian room we stayed in was small, and the bed was squeaky. this B&B is a lovely Victorian near downtown Pensacola. The hosts are very friendly, gracious and accomodating. The hotel suffers a bit in places from deferred maintenance (paint, furniture) but the breakfasts were fabulous, the bed is comfy and the rooms are clean. We would go back.

We liked staying here even though we usually stay at hotels. The Captain's room was full of character and looked like my grandma's bedroom. I heard a few train whistles blow loudly and long a few blocks away starting before dawn. The traffic is noisy at the stop sign on the corner as well, since we had to open the window to get a little air, the room […] was quite warm all night. We absolutely LOVED this bed & breakfast! We stayed in the Elizabeth room and found it to be very comfortable. Barbie was so nice and makes Excellent breakfasts. She accomodated our needs, and really made us feel at "home"! The victorian home is beautiful! We hope to go back this year. I would highly recommnend this place to stay in Pensacola, FL.

This B&B was delightful; although we weren’t too happy upon check in. When we went to our room we learned that the bath was not “en-suite.” It was said to be private, but it is situated in a public sitting area. Our reservation was for a queen room with an en-suite bathroom. I shared this with the innkeeper who seemed surprised that I thought my reservation […] included this amenity; so she asked to see my confirmation. After reviewing the document she agreed that my expectations were warranted, but she insisted she was not to blame for the confusion. She offered to allow us to upgrade our room for a nominal fee (definitely reduced) as soon as another room became available, and we took her up on the offer; only because we don’t like parading through public areas in the middle of the night and in the morning to use the bathroom. In any case the furnishings and décor are lovely, the place is just charming. Breakfasts were very good: Scrambled eggs and bacon one day, French toast and bacon the next, followed by waffles w/a frittata accompaniment. Each day fresh fruit, cereal, coffee, juice, and milk were available, too. Another nice touch is the bottled water and soda offered to guests. I really like the place and the innkeeper. My only suggestion is that if you plan to stay here, call them prior to arrival to confirm exactly what type of accommodations they plan to provide – that way you will know what you’re getting upon arrival. This was my first stay at a B&B and I was really pleased. I was only there for one night but I loved the coziness, convenience, and home-like feeling. The innkeeper, Barbie, is very pleasant and easy to talk to. The food was great and it was nice to meet and talk to new people over breakfast. My room was the only room that didn't have an en suite […] bathroom, but I didn't mind. Plus I thought that might be the case so I brought a bathrobe so I could dart back and forth without feeling shy (although I never saw anyone else upstairs, anyway). It was right across the hall and only for me to use. The bathroom was stocked with plenty of towels, hand towels, and washcloths, and travel-sized shampoo, conditioner and bar soap. I would definitely recommend this B&B to friends and family. Definitely a unique stay and a change of pace form the usual hotel. Read more

We never met the inn keepers the whole time. They taped envelope with keys on front door with instructions. We could not find anyone to ask to have our breakfast time change so we left and ate breakfast on road. The worst bed and breakfast experience I have every had.

I enjoyed all aspects of my two-day stay! The hostess was very friendly and very gracious to me. She's quite knowledgeable about Pensacola. The rooms were well kept, neat and clean. No big screen TV in my room, but I didn't come to Pensacola to watch TV. My bathroom was across the hall and for my use only. No problem for me, but some may not like that […] arrangement. The other rooms had their own bathrooms. Breakfast was served on my schedule and was delicious! Scrambled eggs the first day and french toast the next day! The inn is within walking distance of many of restaurants in downtown Pensacola. Lots of local, individual joggers and walkers out in the evening, which meant the area was safe to be in. The only drawback is that the city is adding on to the library across the street, so construction starts around 6:30 am. Didn't bother me! I spent the whole day at the National Naval Aviation Museum! Now, that's something to see! I would NOT recommend the Inn for children under, say, 16. It's not set up for younger children. Retirees? You'll love it! Read more

Over all the B&B was ok, short of the fact that upon our arrival around 8pm there was no one to greet us, only a note and a single key to our room taped to the front door. As in the title of this review, "must love dogs"..... lets just say the inkeeper, which we never saw, had 2 or 3 small, very yappy dogs in her room that barked through out the entire […] morning. Literally, non stop. Our only assumption was the inkeeper was not in that morning or extreamly hard of hearing as those dogs did not stop. The sound of the traffic and city was a welcoming change as we hurried to leave in search of breakfast as they not only wrapped the breakfast portion of a "bed & breakfast experience up at a prompt 9:30 but left no left overs for the ones that actually like to sleep in abit. The lady that runs this place rented our room to someone else and so even after pre booking our stay we were driven out of the hotel because she rented our room to someone else. I had two small kids with me and was in a fix trying to find a room on a busy weekend. Horrible experience!!!

In no uncertain simple terms...the place is in dire need of restoration both inside and outside. Our room had dust under the bed, window sills with no paint or paint pealing onto the floor. The walls were cracking and the building literally shook if a train or 18 wheeler went by. The "fireplace" in our room was in need of "emergency" facelifting performed. […] DO NOT be fooled by the pictures! The breakfast the next morning was somewhat decent. The fruit salad was not very fresh or tasty. The waffles were good and so was the coffee.
