Mount Rushmore's Presidents View Resort - Keystone

The hotel sits up on a mountain overlooking the town of Keystone. The outside of the hotel looks very nice but the room was very small. On the plus side, if you need to use a washer/dryer there is no charge. They are located on site & do not require quarters.

The pool was slimy around the edge. The beds were not comfortable. The hotel staff were friendly.the location was excellent. I don't know that we would stay here again.

I was very dissapointed I booked a room with 2 double beds it was the most uncomfortable room I have ever stayed in. The room was so small there was barely enough room to walk. The air conditioner had no thermostat it eather got too hot or too cold there was no way to get it right. I was glad I only booked it for one day stay. Very small room. Beds need to be replaced. Not worth the cost. Biggest issue was the hotel is located across the street up on the top of a steep cliff and you can't see it or the sign unless your heading north on 16a. Pool is indoors and room it is in was very warm and had a very strong chlorine order.

Rooms were very small, shower did not work, tub was very small. When we were ready to leave, a truck setting up a display was blocking our car in when there was plenty of room for the truck to park near the display without blocking anyone.

Room initally looked clean, had strong mildew odor. Carpet was filthy, shower barely worked which is good or the plugged up tub would have overflowed. Box springs did not have covers on them and were horribly stained. Good view of mt rushmore, from back of parking lot.

I was in an older room and it was quite small with two double beds. The beds were older and could have been more comfortable. However the personal and attentive staff really went out of their way to make us comfortable and I really appreciated their service.

This hotel may have been nice about 30 years ago, The pool had so much clorine in it that my eyes burned when I waled in the pool area. The room was tiny, the tub didn't drain and the smoke alarm was hanging from 2 wires and when you took a shower it would go off from the steam. We arrived early and were treated very poorly by front desk staff, having just driven over 8 hours we were tired and we knew it was before check in but we just thought we'd ask, they refused to offer anything, were very rude and made us feel stupid.We left in search of another hotel.we called Expedia to see if we could get a refund and they then called […] the hotel and were able to get us in earlier after all! Thank you Expedia! The staff then was very nice to us. The hotel though smelled awful and the rooms were very very small,and the 24 hr coffee in the lobby is actually more like 8 hrs. The room was very small and smelled like cigaretts. The Pool looked filthy ans we didnt use it.The Location was great but overall I would not recomend our room. it was close to the front desk so was very noisey. I will say that the girl whe checked us in was very helpfull and courtiuous that is the only reason I didnt complain to the manager.

I did not enjoy my stay at this hotel at all. The beds were dirty and and stains on the side of the mattress. They were also very uncomfortable to sleep on, once we got home we both slept for most of the day due to not sleeping well. The room was far from worth the cost and I would never stay here again. Hotel Rooms were really small. We had reserved double bed room. It was hard to walk without bumping into each other. The hotel was on top of a hill. So view from the hotel was great.

The staff was amazingly friendly and professional. There were also very knowledgeable of the menus of the local restaurants that delivered to the hotel. The interioir of the hotel was clean. The rooms were also very clean and neat. I would reccomend this hotel to anyone passing through the area or staying to see the sights.
