"Great for $$"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 25, 2013
The service we received was excellent; from check-in through breakfast. I gave a low score for cleanliness of room because we found a cigarette butt on the window-sill. Just glad I found it and not one of my children.
"Very well located"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 25, 2013
Very clean. Great breakfast. Located close to many restaurants.

Broken heater. Worst bed ive ever slept on,view of rock cliff starting two feet from window that was supposed to be window with a view. Staff was fine but conditions/atmosphere/comfort level was awful. Should have stayed at an econo lodge/motel six and had better conditions and paid half the price.Genuine Expedia guest review

The hotel was just fine. We were traveling with a uhaul trailer, and they made me park a block away, had to walk along a busy highway. If you have no trailer, would recommend.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great hotel--terrible parking lot."
Parking lot is awful! Spaces are inadequate for full size vehicles--way too narrow. My 2012 (new) Expedition was hit by the car parked alongside me--no contact from the offending driver and not noticed until we left. The spaces need to be enlarged. Also 1/2 of the small lot was "coned off" for tour bus parking only. Not good!!!Genuine Expedia guest review
"Dissapointing on many levels"
On our third night in a new hotel while traveling from NY to Wyoming, this hotel was definitely a low point. From the parking spots that are ridiculously tiny, so as to fit more cars in, to their less than personable staff, to the rooms that are very outdated in EVERY way. Bedspreads that look to be 20 years old, a table and chairs just sitting in front […] the dresser/t.v. which made for little to no room to move around. There was no refrigerator, which is difficult when traveling w/a toddler. I feel they lean heavily on the surrounding tourist attractions, and do not feel they need to provide the highest quality lodging, because people are going to come stay in the area anyway. "Fantastic family location for Mt. Rushmore!"
We loved the location - right off of the main drag in Keystone and minutes away from everything we wanted to do. My only complaint is that the hot tub and pool were kind of dirty, but my kids didn't care.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Nice hotel"
We got a room with double queen beds. It was very nice. Carpets were a little stained but overall very clean. Hotel seemed to be kept up nicely.Genuine Expedia guest review
"great location"
the stay was great and the hotel was nice. the only thing was that the pool was a little cloudy so we didnt let the kids swim for fear of dealing with ear infections the rest of our 2 week trip. kids were bummed, but we were only there a night.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Centrally located"
We had a wonderful time. The one concern was that the parking lot seemed to fill up and we didn't always have a convenient parking spot.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Hotel needs makeover"
This hotel was in a great location in Keystone for tourist activities. Hotel is not in a major city so expect less conveniences there. Some good things like staff was nice and beds were comfortable. However, the rooms were extremely small with dirty green carpet and old floral decorations. Tub was also very small. Pool didn't appear very clean. Hot […] tub had too much chlorine. Parking spaces were way too small for SUVs. We got a parking ticket due to lack of available spaces. Had to pay for breakfast in their restaurant and it wasn't that good. Entire hotel needs a major makeover. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Perfect place to stay near awesome sights"
Loved the hotel! Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was spotless. Beds were comfy. Even though we had a room right next to the lobby, we couldn't hear ANYTHING outside our room so had the benefit of privacy. Will always book at this hotel when we are in the Dakotas. Awesome!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Very Satisfied Customer"
Room was very large/roomy, attractively decorated, very spacious bathroom, surprised to see a working electric fireplace, beds/pillows comfortable, service exceptional, close to shopping, nice pool area, close to resturants and a BIG bang for your buck. Parking was the only issue. Needs more parking and larger spaces.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"The good, the bad, and the beatiful"
The hotel had a great swimming pool and spa. The location was fabulous. That is the good. The bad was the room was tiny. It had two queen beds as advertised but we could not walk around the beds. There was no place to put our luggage. We stayed at lots of hotels on this trip but this room was MUCH smaller than any other room we stayed in. The beautiful? […] Mount Rushmore and the Black Hills. "Nice enough"
It was very close to Mount Rushmore and Crazy Horse, and the room was nice. The hot tub had a very weird foam in it and was way overtreated iwth chemicals. Keystone itself is kind of kitschy. The restaurant attached was mediocre, but there are other restaurants in town.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Taking five grandkids to Mt. Rushmore"
The rooms at Mt. Rushmore's White House in Keystone, South Dakota were clean and comfortable. The front desk clerk was very gracious and helpful, especially when we decided to add another room. He made sure all 3 rooms were together by moving the ones we had reserved in advance. The only thing we really didn't like was the pool. The chlorine was very […] strong and burned our eyes. Also, they ran out of toothbrushes and we really needed one for a grandkid who forgot his. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"The bridge to nowhere.......!"

"Too expensive for the quality"
I thought it was a bit expensive for the quality. The room was clean but the beds were old. It was just average.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great location."
We were expecting two rooms with two queen beds each and ended up with an upgrade on one of the rooms to a three bed suite. Great central location . Thoroughly enjoyed our one night stay.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Good family hotel"
Our hotel was great. It was I walking distance of most things. The food was good but a little high in price. They don't offer shampoo in the rooms but other than that we had no complaints. The beds were comfortable, nice apology and hot tub area.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Sent to another hotel!"
Room was clean, but very small. We did not stay at the White House hotel as we had booked, instead they moved us to the President's View Hotel. The pool was nice there.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"No Rooms"
I did not get to stay at this hotel as they did NOT have our reservations through Hotel.com. They tried to help us find rooms at other hotels, but I was very disappointed in the way they did not help nor assist. I had a 3 night reservation. Very horrible experience after riding for several hours to be told SORRY.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
It was too expensive for what you received. Never stay there again. They were rude.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Convience and closeness to sights"
The hotel was awesome. The staff at the desk the night we checked in and in the morning was outstanding. They were extremely helpful and poite. We had problems with our reservations not being confirmed, and yet the night staff was very helpful in dealing with the situation. The night manager said she would do whatever it took to take care of the problem […] and make sure we had a room. The next day the manager was extremely helpful in dealing with Hotels.com to handle the problem. Even though it wasn't the hotel's mistake, they were very appologetic about what was happening and they took responsiblity for it. I feel they went above and beyond their responsibility in dealing with the mistake. They could have said, sorry it's not our problem, yet they didn't. I would strongly recommend this hotel to anyone who asked us for our opinion. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Weekend in the Black Hills"
Staff was very helpful and nice. Rooms a little small, but overall it was a good stay for the money. I would definitely stay there again. Nice pool. I read from another review that the decor was dated. It was but it was still pleasing.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Terribly outdated, not so clean, but close to Mt. Rushmore for the right price."
The rooms are dark, blasted with fake pine tree scent, with outdated decor. They actually twist up towels into swan-like looking things and put them on the foot of each bed. The beds are not very comfortable nor very clean. I felt the need to wrap my pillows with the towels from the bathroom and wear flip flops when taking a shower. I had a view out […] my window of a dirt hill and a propane tank. The hallways smell of chlorine from the swimming pool and the only place to get coffee is in the main lobby. No coffee makers in the rooms. The wi-fi is unusable if you are able to connect. I was only able to connect with Windows, not Mac OS or my iPod until I fiddled around with the connections a lot. The staff was not helpful in resolving the internet issues. Either way, the price was good, there are lots of fun things to do in town, it is close to Mt. Rushmore, and there is acceptable food in the restaurant. I just needed a roof over my head for one night, so I would probably go back if I needed the same unless I felt like spending more money for a nicer hotel. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Fun and reasonable place to stay in Keystone"
Hotel was right on downtown strip of Keystone and 2 miles from Mount Rushmore. It was nice to stay, complimentary coffee was nice but no breakfast and no newspaper with room. The room itself was nice, with a big bathroom and fair beds.Genuine Expedia guest review
"The White House Resort"
This hotel in Keystone, S.D. was so convenient and was within walking distance to many shops and restaurants. We were even picked up in Keystone for a 9 hour tour to view all the sites. We actually stayed 3 nights and only used our car once to go somewhere different for breakfast one morning. The railroad station is a block away and we took that to […] Hill City and spent some time there, It was an excellent and relaxing trip for us. No driving. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
