Very nice room for the price we paid. Room was spacious and kitchennette is a plus! Close to all major places that we wanted to go: 5th avenue, Juarez avenue, Walmart, ADO station, colectivo station, good restaurants. Had a great time!

We spent 6 nights in this hotel in their royal club section. Overall it was a positive experience. The hotel personel was friendly and helpful. On the other hand, the management of the hotel should pay more attention for small details. For example, addition of Wi-Fi serveice would be a nice touch.

Fantastic deal for your money. The confirmation from hotels.com said that our room had ocean, pool and garden view.... it didn't. The view was just trees. We had booked a king size bed but got 2 queens instead so that was disappointing but over all a great place. Men need to bring long pants if you're planning on eating in the a'la cart restaurants. The buffets are great, a'la cart is ok.

My wife and I stayed at the Grand Velas for a total of 6 nights as our first four days were paid for by our company. We bought 2 more nights through hotels.com . The service, the service, the service, 6 gourmet restaurants, the comfort of the rooms, attention to detail and the wonderful staff are all second to none. "Fabulous"
We had never been to an all inclusive resort before so were a little nervous going to Grand Velas. It ended up being amazing!! The food and service were unbelievable and we are already planning our next trip. el personal exelente excepto las mozas del bar del cielo ( le faltan oficio sobre todo a una ) ,tal vez para mozas en el desayunador azul . Por otro lado estan los playeros cristian y jose que superan ampliamente las espectativas de su trabajo

"Grand Velas, muy recomendable"
El hotel es hermoso, y todo es calidad 10, las habitaciones, las instalaciones de piscina y playa, los restaurants y los snacks y el servicio.
"No hay conguencia Precio-Servicio"
El consepto del Grand Vela es exelente. El servicio personalizado en recepcion es grandioso, las instalaciones son un sueño. Pero el servicio durante la estancia es de 3 estrellas. Es lamentable que no hay conguencia entre el Precio y el servicio. Esto debido a que hicimos un Upgrade de la habitacion y tardaron mas de 6 hrs en darnos la habitacion siendo […] que prometieron hacerlo en 2 hrs quedandonos sin la comodidad de nuestro cuarto hasta las 6pm y esto fue muy irritante ademas de la mala actitud del personal: lo clasico "no depende de mi, es de alguien mas" y finalmente no te resuelven nada. Vale la pena decir que quiza esto que nos paso fue un evento puntual pero me llamo la atencion que despues de que estas dentro del servicio del hotel, se siente que el personal se desentiende. Ademas avisamos desde el primer dia que las almoadas olian a humedad (muy desagrable) y no nos las cambiaron nunca. No creo regresar a este Hotel.
