The room looks sleek and modern, but the reality is poor quality and an AWFUL bed. I normally stay in 2 star hotels and have not had a bed as lumpy and uncomfortable as the one in this hotel. Maybe the expectations in Spain are lower than the US, but I am very disappointed in this hotel in comparison the La Quintas I normally frequent in the US. I […] booked the executive suite with hotels.com and thought I was getting the beautiful photo on the webpage. As I am frequent user of this site I also called to confirm this with the hotel a week before our stay. If we did not have the large separate tub I wanted to change hotels since this trip was for our 2 year anniversary/ late honeymoon. When I called the hotel to confirm they told me not to worry the rooms were all the same. The first room they sent us to did not even have a bathtub! The second room had mold in the shower caulking. They were full, so we could not even change rooms. Definitely not the hotel to stay in if you are looking for a romantic evening in!!! Read more

Very modern, clean and upscaled hotel. The staff is friendly and multi-language ( I personally heard them speaking English, Spanish, French and Russian), can give you useful hints what is the best way to get to the points of interest. A little bit far from the center but a big plus that the City Tour bus (the red line) has a stop across the street by the mall. The internet in my room was frustrating with the spotty service. A constant connection could not be maintained.You could go to the lobby with your computer or to the computer deck where you could reliably use their machines and printer for no charge. I was also baffled that there is no working exhaust fan in the bathroom so the mirrors would steam and not clear.I could also see where some people would have trouble getting into the bath and shower as there is no shower door and you have to squeeze around the glass.I was also disappointed that the only english TV were news and it was 4 redundant stations . Horrible. If you have a source with you you can plug any device into their system with HDMI and USB or video audio inputs. The buffet was included in my rate and there were many good choices.The fruit was abundant and ripe for a change and the crepes and eggs were good. The baked items were surprisingly bad for what is found i Europe. They are adding a huge addition that will almost triple the size of the hotel when done.Thankfully they were not working on it this summer.The hotel location is on the diagonal strip of many new hotels and is the furthest out of the city.This is ok as you can walk to the beach in minutes, and the best part of the location is that the metro train you need to take to city center is right there so there is no walk needed. Hotel Diagonal Zero was fantastic. It is located near both the beach and the metro. The staff is attentive and helpful. The room was quiet and clean. I would definitely recommend this hotel to any of my friends heading to Barcelona.

The hotel is modern, clean, comfortable, quiet, and the bilingual staff was extremely helpful. Although located about 15 min. from the center of Barcelona, the metro stop is 2 minutes walk and very convenient. The close proximity to the beach is an unexpected plus. I only went for a conference and not to spend time looking at Barcelona. For the purpose was the location perfect. Breakfast is fine but somewhat avarage. Price level at restaurant and bar unreasonably high. The gym is one of the best I have ever found - only at US resorts have I seen similar.

Located in a new area where there is nothing but construction. Says on the site all rooms have partial sea view. Our room overlooked a construction site. We thought from the site we got to use the hot tub/spa when ever we wanted. U get 1 free time and only aloud to use spa if u purchase a treatment. I was attending a conference at the conference centre across the road so this was great. Stayed at an executive room.However, it is a little far from the city so unless you are attending the meeting, you might want to stay near the city. having said that, taxi fare each way is only about 12 Euros or 10 minutes by Metro from El Maresme Forum station […] 5 minutes walk away. The hotel was very comfortable with a gym if you need one. The free Wi-Fi was really useful and connection was fast. Wish they had a bath. Only shower available though. Breakfast was very good but a little pricey, as in most hotels. However, food choices at the neighbouring Diagonal Mar shopping centre was very good. Shopping was great too. What was not great was the computerized system that you had to access to turn off the entrance light. This hotel is stylish, the rooms are large and well furnished, the restaurant is interesting and serves a true 4* breakfast, the staff is friendly and helpful. The Diagonal Zero is an excellent hotel. The hotel seems brand new and the rooms are good size and are well appointed. This is definitely a strong 4 star hotel. First impressions were not that great from the outside due to extensive constuction going on, but once inside was very impressed. Reception staff were friendly on arrival, and first impressions of the room were good. Noise levels were not to bad considering that our room overlooked construction, not a good veiw. Nice bar area and nice relaxing pool area but very noisey due to construction work. Location was a little out of the way but due to convenient tram outside hotel it was vey easy to get around barcelona. Big shopping centre about 200 yards away and forum opposite. Only grumble really is that we waited for an iron that never came one day, only happened once though and only one key card given to us, which can cause problems as they are required for the lift. On our arrival, we were greeted by a rude and unapologetic front desk staff. The others were however, friendly and fluent in English. Overall, the room was comfortable and clean and close to the Metro station, restaurants and shops and there's also a big mall which has discount stores and halal restaurant. Diagonal Zero Hotel in Barcelona is a very nice and luxurious hotel that we recomend. We stayed there a week before and we had a very good experience. The hotel has large and comfortable rooms. We impressed by the high technology of the modern rooms.There is a touch screen in the room and you can operate with it easily the lights and the temperature […] of the room. Marble bathroom nice decorated which is separated from the room with glass on the wall!. It has also big sattelite tv and mini bar (but too expensive). Our room was cleaned every day. You only have to switch on the button next to the door that means "please make up my room". Large and comfortable beds with a selection of pillows. Excellent breakfast every day with a great variety of everything...fresh fruits (melon, watermelon, appricot, apple, grapes, kiwi, strawberries..), great selection of cheese, sausages, ham, bakon, hamon, spanish omelete, eggs, juices, great machine with a variety of coffe to select...Milk with sereals to select or tea. Also many delicious sweets for all tastes. We enjoyed the breakfast very much, all were very fresh and tasty. We also recommend the restaurant of the hotel. It is in the area of the breakfast and offers gourmet dishes of fresh fish and meat. It offers also dishes for those who eat low fat foods (healthy food restaurant with low fat ingredients). The hotel doesn't promote this restaurant and it is a pitty because it is excellent. If you want to relax there is a nice terrace with a fountain in the ground floor and onother one in the upper floor,(under the swimming pool floor ) where you can enjoy your coffe or your drink. The swimming pool is in the upper floor and it is a great idea to relax during the summer time. The hotel offers also a nice spa but we didn;t have time to visit. All the stuff of the hotel speak english and you will not have a problem of communication. we stayed there for a night (moving from Hilton next door where my husband was on a business trip) which was a mistake. To start with, the reception service was slow and funny - the lady insisted that my husband presents his passport instead of his EU ID as she did not recognise ID as a document. It was funny as that this the only way we travel for […] years now within Europe.Finally, she accepted the situation. The rooms we found very uncomfortable. The bathroom is in a glass cube and although there are white blinds that you can open, you still can see the person inside who is using the toilet or taking a shower. I guess that a lot of people will find this uncomfortable. All the lights and AC is managed with a touch screen. There is no shower cap and no slippers in the room. The most irritating things was that there is no booklet with information about the facilities and we wanted to use the jacuzzi before dinner. There is leaflet about the SPA, but it contains info only about the different procedures. We went to the SPA and a lady with very broken English explained that we need to pay significant amount if we want to use the SPA. We travel a lot around Europe and especially during the last years, the SPA use is usually free. At least, if you want to charge, make this information obvious in the room or tell the guest when they check-in. In the morning, we were awaken by banging on our dour by the maid and she opened, told us something in Spanish and shut the door violently. It was 2 hours before the check-out and I have no idea what was that visit for, but it managed to wake us up. In summary, we would stay away from this hotel, as for the price is not worthy. We did not like the service and the comfort of the room. Hilton next door was definitely a better option and the difference in the price was not that significant. This hotel is clean and smart and the staff are friendly. We booked this hotel aware that it isnt a central location which makes it quiet and you get lovely sea or city views. The hotel is really close to the subway so we didnt notice the distance. We also booked this hotel beacuse it had an outdoor pool and a spa, the spa area is clean but it smelt […] like a toilet and the spa water had brown foam floating in it- we spent 30seconds in it and then had to get out, thankfully the weather was amazing so we went to the beach to relax instead. Overall a good hotel for a weeks stay in Barca, good facilities, service etc. Breakfast was great as were the breakfast staff. The staff at reception pleasant ...room, while an executive, was disapointing ...minimal comfort, and the shower/ bath was hard to use as the glass did not move.

Good location - 5mins from the uncrowded beach - the hotel is well maintained. Breakfast was really good. Underground just around the corner. Nice to stay away from the maddening crowds of the city. Overall the hotel was well maintained with friendly staff, and good facilities. While I was there for both business and some leisure, the hotel is a little distant from many of Barcelona's main attractions. In fairness, they can be accessed by the metro relatively easily (and cheaply), but it does make it inconvenient to just walk out the front door […] and go to an interesting location. hotel was modern, clean and professional service. free internet with printer was very useful. it is located outside of the city centre (main tourist areas), but there is a tram and metro stations at front door. it is only 10 minutes to city centre. and there is a large shopping complex right over the road which can be convenient.

Nära stort och bra shoping center, när stranden och lugna trevliga promenad områden. Hotellet var fräscht och bra frukost. Rena fina rum.

Un albergo alla periferia di Barcellona, a pochi metri dal mare, servito ottimamente da metropolitana e tram, si raggiunge il centro città in 10 minuti. Personale all'accettazione molto cortese, gentile e disponibilissimo. Albergo molto curato con colazione ottima e ricca. Unica pecca se cosi si vuol dire, è l'ingresso nella SPA aperta al pubblico con […] lo stesso orario dei clienti del Hotel. Nel ns. caso abbiamo dovuto attendere più di un ora, affinchè si liberasse l'accesso. Rendenci poi conto che era stato occupato da parte del personale femminile del Hotel che aveva anche occupato i vari armadietti per i quali avevamo le chiavi. Hotel bien situé a quelques minutes du port olympique avec le tram ou taxi. Mais l'acceuil est quelquonque, les chambres (deluxe) quelquonques. Vue sur une tout en construction. Le système electrique climatisation est super compliqué..bref sans interet. Le buffet du petit déjeuné est assez copieux mais la qualité n'est pas au rendez vous.

Et fint hotel med et meget venligt personale. Rengøringen på værelset var helt i top. Dog synes vi at badeværelset lugtede kraftigt af kloak. Spaa'en kunne også godt lugte lidt underligt. Morgenmaden er for dyr ifht. hvad der findes på buffeten.

Deficiente insonorización. El automatismo de las luminarias es muy incómodo y se encienden las luces en plena noche. No tiene ninguna zona de reposo y confortable. El coctel bar es una grada de exposición. No es tolerable que se pida comisiones de 9 euros a los taxistas. Muy decepcionado en general.

Valitsin hotellin sijainnin ja tason perusteella. Sijainti kongressikeskuksen vieressä sopi minulle, mutta oli kaukana keskustasta. Plussaa lähellä olevista ostoskeskuksesta ja hiekkarannasta. Yhteydet keskustaan toimivat muuten hyvin, mutta metromatka kesti kohtalaisen kauan. Hotelliaamiainen oli hyvä, erityisruokavalionikin huomioitiin. Palvelu oli […] iloista ja aktiivista. Hotellet ligger i område med nytt stort kjøresenter og profilerte hoteller som Hilton, Princess mv. Trikk går like utenfor hotellet, Metro innen et kvartal. Metro tar vel 10-12 minutter inn til sentrum. Området har storbypreg med bygninger på 17-40 etasjer. I nærområdet benyttet vi oss av kjøpesenter og Metro. Kulturopplevelser mv søker man i sentrum. Modernt hotell med närhet till stranden. Frukost ingår nomalt inte i priset. Ligger en bit ifrån de mest centrala delarna av Barcelona, men det finns bra kommunikationer och ett av stadens nyaste köpcentrum ligger alldeles bredvid hotellet...
