Visiting Melbourne from Canada, we wanted a clean and comfortable hotel and the sleep and go was perfect. Nice hotel, 20 mins from city by car. Might not be a good choice if you don't have a car. It was a well-designed modern room on the 6th floor with a wall of windows and views to the mountains. There were two minor problems: although everything was spotlessly clean and neat, there was a residual smell of stale cigarette smoke both in the corridor and the room. I must say that the room was good, views very nice, clean, however, we were delayed at check in (room not ready) and even though hey asked for my mob number to call me when it was ready they failed to do this. We booked a King bed and got to the room to discover twin bed setup, which shouldn't have been a major obstacle except the join was inadequate […] and completely failed during the night resulting in a major gap, very uncomfortable for a couple. Not enough blankets considering the air con failed to heat at night resulting in a very cold night, only compensated with combined body heat across the aforementioned widening gap in the bed. The only problem I encoutered was wind noise and that distracted from the comfort. It probably has more to do with the aerodynamics of the building than anything else. It is something that needs to be attended to. Orther guests had the same problem others did not. Otherwise a good, clean hotel with comfortable appointments.

Reception service was excellent, very friendly and helpful. Room was nicely presented. Only down side to the room was having the toilet inside with the shower was cramped and was difficult to get in and out of. We came to Melbourne from The Western District Victoria for a work-shop in the area. This was the first time we had a hotel/motel past CBD. The name put me in mind of a sleazy joint and I thought it would have been a block of rooms out the back. We were on a budget and only needed 1 night stay.
