Porto Bay Falésia - Albufeira

Absolutely loved this hotel! It is in a perfect location if you are looking for a quiet relaxing break. Stunning views and beautiful grounds with lots of room for guests; we were there the first week of May, I imagine it gets a lot busier in high season. Delicious cocktails, tasty food (a great selection at breakfast, & we ate at il basilico a couple […] of nights) service with a smile from most people, Rui at the outdoor cafe and Pierre on reception were particularly lovely and helpful. I would recommend getting a car so you can explore the coastline, or if you want to try somewhere different to eat. The restaurant on the seafront in Olhos d'Agua (walkable) was amazing - we had the best fish we have ever eaten! Couldn't afford seaview but our room was still nice (the rooms themselves are exactly the same) request a room with a balcony in the afternoon sun, as some rooms don't get any sunshine. The only downsides were the outdated decor in the bar and the terrible music every evening, but that is easily avoidable, who wants to sit in a dark bar when you can be outside with a sea view.. This hotel was wonderful for us we stayed for a week in December. It was very quiet-perfect for couples for the quiet season. Indoor pool,spa,sauna,steam room,jacuzzi,various massage choices.Only board and breakfast during the winter which served everything from cereals to fizzy wine,fruits,cheeses,hams,cooked breakfast,salads.The bar open til midnight […] played occasional live music,two evening restuarants in the hotel plus room srevice until 22:30.The reception staff very resourceful-ask them anything and its manned 24hours a dayThe coast line is accessed by a series of steps,pure sand,local fishermen-just mind the orange clay soil stains.5min walk from hotel was small amount of shops serving food-this time of the year the locals are about here and are friendly.Supermarket up the road include coffee shops.Did find the bigger eateries closed in the evening during the week(seasonal) The main road indicated by set of traffic lights you can find the bus stops either side of the road for Faro or Albufeira (nearly every half and hour 2euros to Albufeira,change for the driver a must) yet the buses wind down after 6pm.Taxi rank service and day trip shop open late to plan days out including boat trips.We did do coach trip to Lisbon it long journey 4hours there early start but must be done cost 20euros each. This hotel is absolutely 5* in all aspects. The staff in reception manage your requirements very well. The food in restaurant was very good and also well priced unlike some places where it costs more than your room.... and it was perfect for us - we wanted to stay on a cliff/near beach to enjoy morning walk in the beach.

My wife and I have just returned from a very relaxing week at the Porto Bay Falesia in Olhos D'Agua. We were both impressed by the standard of service, especially from the reception staff who were most approachable, although bar/restaurant staff were also very attentive. Our room faced the front of the hotel which didn't provide the most scenic of […] views but was an improvement on some of the back alleys we've been stuck with at hotels in the past! There was some noise from surrounding hotels (and the visiting circus) but this died down at a reasonable hour & did not provide too much inconvenience. The room itself was of a high quality & generally very clean & comfortable as was the rest of the hotel. Food at the hotel was very good although we stayed B&B and so did not sample the evening menu. Breakfast provided a wide range of choice & we inevitably made 3 or 4 visits to the buffet each morning - the eggs & fresh fruit are a particular highlight. Lunch menu at the pool bar was standard but also very good. The food was quite pricey but it was worth paying the extra for some of the views over the cliff. The pool area was excellent. Always loungers available, very clean, a relaxing lawned area away from the pool and stunning views. You can also access the beach via steps at the back of the hotel which were not as daunting as I was led to believe. We have already discussed a return visit to Porto Bay Falesia and would recommend it for anyone visiting Olhos D'Agua. Read more

Stayed here for 4 nights in late July 2012, we are family with 2 year old son. we enjoyed our stay very much. beach is great for kids, as is pool area. Food is above average for resorts in my opinion, and easily accesible to many other surrounding activities. Recommended

Alles is in het hotel aanwezig, van een Spa en een sportruimte tot restaurantjes en een zeer uitgebreid ontbijtbuffet. Dat is nog niet alles, want het terrein is ook voorzien van een lounge bar, lunch restaurant, een groot zwembad en verschillende sport- en ontspanningsfaciliteiten. Het personeel is ontzettend beleefd en altijd bereid om u te helpen. […] Het zwembad is koud in het voorjaar evenals de zee, maar wel allemaal goed bereikbaar. De trap naar het strand is niet lang, maar voor mensen die niet helemaal goed ter been zijn waarschijnlijk lastig te beklimmen. Op loopafstand ligt een dorpje met verschillende restaurantjes, winkeltjes en een bushalte die je naar het centrum van Albufeira kan brengen in ongeveer 20 minuten. Ook is er een grote supermarkt op loopafstand aanwezig, en het personeel in het hotel is bereid om u precies uit te leggen waar deze zich bevindt. Een minpunt vind ik dat voor het internet, wat tegenwoordig gemeengoed is, flink betaald moet worden. 8 euro per uur op je laptop of 13 euro per uur per 24 uur. Als je ook je telefoon wilt gebruiken moet je daar ook weer apart voor betalen, nl 9 euro per 24 uur. In andere hotels is dit beter geregeld, bijvoorbeeld door gewoon de wifi-code beschikbaar te stellen voor alle gasten op kamer nummer. Als je opzoek bent naar een plek om uit te rusten is dit prima geschikt, het publiek is zeer gemengd, van 0 tot 80 jaar, maar geen last gehad van lawaai van andere gasten. Read more

Helt fantastiskt hotell precis vid havet. Man bör dock ha bil om man inte vill hålla sig på hotellet eller den tämligen lilla byn som hotellet ligger i. Hotellfrukosten var underbar, det serverades till och med champange! Sängarna super sköna och rummen fräsha. Rekommenderas starkt om man vill ha en lugn och lyxig semester!

Porto Bay Falesia 6 km. fra Albufeira på Algarvekysten er et fantastisk hotel, primært i kraft af sin paradisiske beliggenhed direkte ud til Atlanterhavet, samt det fine køkken og et utrolig sødt personale, der står på pinde for en døgnet rundt. Dertil ro og fred både ude og inde, fordi der er meget få børn - og dem der er, er overvejende spædbørn og […] op til 1-2 år. Maden på stedet er af meget høj kvalitet både morgen, middag og aften, og hotellets have er en lille perle i sig selv, delt op i mange forskellige sektioner med hver deres særpræg, så man kan altid finde en hyggelig krog, næsten alle med en vidunderlig udsigt ud over de røde klipper og Atlanterhavet. Ett utmärkt hotell för par som vill ha det lyxigt. Läget och utsikten är perfekt. Olhos de Agua är relativt litet och lugnt, men här finns flera bra restauranger. Skönt att slippa kommersen i Albufeira. Övrigt: hotellets drinkar,frukostbuffe och poolområde var kanon. Åk hit.

L'hotel est bien situé sur le haut de la falaise, les commerces dont de nombreux restaurants sont à 300m. La plage est très étroite, à peine 10m et de nombreuses zones sont des concessions de loueur de transat, mais on arrive à trouver tout de même une petite place pour sa serviette. L'eau est plustôt bonne (24° début août) mais elle est pas très claire […] (plage de sable). A l'hotel il y a peu d'activités en journée et le soir seulement 2 spectacles de qualité moyenne par semaine. Read more
