The location is perfect, right across the street from the Valporetto (the water bus). Eugenio, the concierge is the best I have experienced in any hotel in any country. He went out of his way to make our stay wonderful. Coffee and tea any time of day, letting me use the hotel computer (several times), arranging a free motorboat ride to the glass works in Murano,marking a map with the number of the valporetto to take (including the times for when we had to leave early to get to the airport, and just being one of the nicest people I have ever met! The room was spacious and immaculate with three windows, one overlooking the Grand Canal. The bathroom was spotless and well lit, even had a towel warmer for the towels, the heating control was well appreciated since it snowed the day we arrived! With the Valporetto station just across the street it is easy to get anywhere in Venice. About 20 minutes from the bus station at Pont Roma on the 5.1 to the hotel. Or take the line 1 and cruise down the Grand Canal on the way to the hotel. I love Lido since one doesn't have to cross bridges or walk a long way to the hotel and there are many restaurant choices within a 2 block area.

We recently spent 4 nights at the zaguri b & b. Was very easy to find from the directions sent to us. Our room was very comfortable. Only 2 moans. Pillows were very flat and no tea and coffee making facilities in the room. We love a cup of tea when we wake up but had to wait till we went for breakfast. Breakfast was simple but nice. The shower in the […] room was wonderful. Our only complaint was we were leaving early on our return home and asked for an early breakfast we were told it would be delivered to our room the afternoon before we left and it was a very simple breakfast. We did not mind that and seeing that my husband is diabetic anything would do. The breakfast never arrived and as it is a family run b&b, there was no one around to ask. Just felt a bit let down. I would recommend the zaguri for the location, only 10 minutes walk to St Marks Square. Venice is a wonderful place and would go back tomorrow and would stay at the zaguri again. Read more

A nice welcome, in a small and friendly pension. Lovely location in the middle of Venice. Comfortable and convenient. Some rooms have nicer views than others. I'd stay here again very happily. Free WiFi.

Pros: -quiet -very friendly and helpful staff -good breakfast (cereal, some pastries, boiled eggs, sliced meats, coffee/tea) -relatively big room with really big bathroom -pretty close to piazza San Marco (5min walk) and point de Rialto (15 min walk) -decent air conditioning (we were there during 38 degree celcius weather) Cons: -must go up one flight […] of stairs to enter the B&B -no hotel staff at the B&B over night (someone was ringing the doorbell late at night and there was no staff around to deal with the person at the door) -kind of far from the train station (but not so bad because you can take the vaperetto) Read more
