We had a very comfortable stay. Iris made us feel so welcome even making us a cuppa when we arrived. It is a beautiful home and iris is a great cook as well. Thank you Iris.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Without doubt our stay at Birchwood House was a real pleasure from start to finish. Iris made us so welcome and her breakfasts were delicious. Should we ever have the pleasure of returning to Ireland we will definitely be booking into Birchwood House.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Fantastic stay, friendly, helpful owner. Fabulous breakfast (we also asked for breakfast an hour earlier at 7am, and there was no problem. Heating in the room was far too high, but rather too hot than too cold! Will definitely be back!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

We stayed in Birchwood House recently. We were offered tea and home baked scones on arrival. The house is warm and comfortable and our bedroom was first class. Breakfast was very tasty with a menu selection from a five star hotel. We will stay again when we return to the area. Paul and Sheila

We have stayed with Iris a few times when we need to stay over in Castlebridge, as we have family who live close to her. This is a comfly home from home B&B and Iris looks after all her guests very well... Lovely rooms and a scrumptious breakfast to set you up for the day ahead. On our last two overnights in Castlebridge we've had to stay elsewhere as Iris was fuly booked - not surprising really.

Travelled to Southern Ireland via Ferry from Pembroke to Rosslare,Needed an overnight stay before our onward journey, could not have booked better for our overnight stay, lovely rooms, breakfast was great, lots of information from Landlady, would definitely book again. Would have to say 10 out of 10.

Our stay at the Birchwood House was very pleasant. I would recommend it to family and friends. I would stay there the next time I visit Wexford. The owner was very friendly and the breakfast and accommodations were wonderful.

We chose this B&B after reading the great reviews and we weren't disappointed. It is located in a lovely area has plenty of free parking and the whole place is very clean and tidy with superb gardens. Iris the proprietor is lovely and her breakfasts are amazing. Forget asking for a full Irish anywhere else go here and try a full "Iris" you will love it.

Great place to stay, great food, house is amazing, located just outside of Wexford town! Homemade jam was fantastic. we had a quiet pint in Castlebridge village and got a short taxi ride over the bridge into Wexford Town. Slept sound in a very comfortable bed!

My Girlfriend and I found this place as we were at an event on Curracloe Beach and wanted to stay in Wexford that night. With the hotel rooms that were left being very expensive, we took a punt on this place. It was fantastic. Iris, the owner, was very accommodating with our arrival time, being able to come and go as we pleased and ordered us a taxi into town (only €10 one way between 2 people). The room itself was very clean and spacious as was the en-suite bathroom. The breakfast the following morning was wonderful with freshly prepared fruit salad, cereals and breads and cooked to order food included. Iris also went out of her way to accommodate a fellow guest who happened to be diabetic. Incredible service that, in my opinion, was above and beyond the call of duty. For those of you looking to stay in Wexfrod Town, this gem in nearby Castlebridge is really worth your while checking out instead.

Very modern facility near old graveyard. Our rooms were spotlessly clean and even though out in the country had the wifi we needed to keep in touch with the kids back home. Our hostess was very helpful with ideas of places to visit in the area. Make sure you try her lemon pancakes. They are to die for!

This was our first "port of call" and what a wonderful start to our holiday. Iris who runs the B&B single handedly is brilliant. Nothing is too much trouble for her. In fact, she even arranged to meet us at Killarney as my OH had left his jacket and although we offered to call on her on our return to Wexford for our last couple of days she was actually going to be on holiday herself so as we were going to be in the same place we arranged to meet up, for which we were really grateful! Also, while staying with her my OH had a birthday and Iris had noticed his birthday cards so when we got back she offered us a glass of wine each which we had whilst sitting in the lovely comfortable lounge and we asked her to join us, which she did and we had a lovely chat with her. Iris had put us into the family bedroom which was huge so we had loads of room and didn't feel cramped at all. We both had a really good night's sleep as it was so quiet. The breakfast was excellent. Plenty of fresh fruit (which had been cut-up and placed onto plates, which we though was a nice touch), plenty of fresh yoghurt, toast and home-made marmalade for me and a full cooked breakfast for the OH. We never left feeling hungry. We had a most delightful stay with Iris and when we left we felt as if we had left behind a friend. When we visit Wexford again we would have no hesitation at staying at Iris's and would definitely recommend her home to anyone.

Wow! I am so very glad that I decided to stay with Iris at her superb B&B for the last night of my trip to Ireland. Iris keeps a wonderful home all by herself, and gives you the warmest of welcomes. My room overlooking the back garden was well appointed, and the bed, bedding and ample furnishings were of the highest quality, as was the en suite and shower. I spent the evening in the sumptuous lounge watching tv from a superb leather settee sipping a quality red wine. Heavenly! After a great nights sleep , I ate a delicious, beautifully prepared breakfast, with lots of home made treats. Iris joined me for a cuppa, and we chatted, which was a nice touch, and an enjoyable way to start the day . Overall, I had a fantastic stay, and just wished that I could have stayed for more nights! If I get the chance, I'd love to stay with Iris again before I return to Australia.
