Well most likely the cheapest hotel stay I've ever had in Europe hence the high rating. Not a very nice hotel to be honest but if you are looking for something cheap in La Massana, this one offers great value.

We stayed at Hotel Kandahar this past weekend for just one night - arriving Friday, with plans to ski all day Saturday and leave. The hotel staff was so accomodating, they emailed me personally after I booked online; got us a corner room with a partial view of the slopes when there were no more slope view available; they explained everything in detail for ski rentals, dinner, cheap parking nearby, shopping and bars, arranged for our lift passes, and what blew me away the most was that they let us keep our things in the room until late saturday afternoon so we could shower before going home (they coordinated to leave that room free since they were not full up). We also had use of the equipment locker for our skis all day (after we were to check out).. on top of that the staff are just plain friendly and very pleasant! Best location steps from the lifts, fantastic and very full breakfast buffet and do not miss the cheese fondue!! They even save your wine for you after dinner. I love you guys, I will be back!

Location.
Hotel Pyrénées is close to Casa de la Vall, Church of Saint Stephen, and Caldea Spa. Also nearby are Placa del Poble and Saint Andrew Church.

Hotel Features.
Hotel Pyrénées has an outdoor tennis court and a seasonal outdoor pool. Complimentary wireless Internet access is available in public areas and an Internet point is located on site. Dining options at this ski hotel include a restaurant, a coffee shop/café, and a bar/lounge. Guests are served a complimentary breakfast each morning. Het personeel was zeer gastvrij. Goede bediening. Het was geen probleem om Engels te praten. Kamers zijn net maar wel klein en gedateerd. Eigenaar gaf ons aan dat er eerdaags begonnen zou worden met het aanpassen van de kamers. Er wordt oa airco geïnstalleerd. Als je gebruik gaat maken van de parkeergarage van het hotel. Ett gammaldags, trevligt litet hotell. Restaurangen var ganska bra, både när det gäller middag och frukost. Rummet vi hade var extremt litet, ingen plats att sitta eller röra sig på. Det bästa med hotellet var personalen, som enormt vänliga och hjälpsamma. Dessutom pratade de bra engelska.

Hotel très agréable, rien a reprocher. A par l'isolation phonique. Un couple d'espagnol qui ne pouvait s’empêcher de parler fort. Il faut préciser que le parking de l'hotel est payant (12€)

We had fairly high expectations after reading the reviews on this hotel, and we were quite disappointed. Negative: - The hotel was quite rundown, and our room smelled very bad. Probably from someone smoking even though we had asked for a non-smoking room.
