The Convent Hotel is located on one of the main streets in Amsterdam and within easy walking distance to the Centraal Train station and Dam Square-so public transportation is a snap. The hotel is well kept and the staff is very friently. The one complaint about the staff is that they do not seem very knowledgeable about typical tourist activities in Amsterdam and we didn't find a concierge staff member to help with some of our questions. Our booking through hotels.com did not include the breakfast, which looked wonderful and was expensive, so we found a lovely little care within a block or two from the hotel for our breakfasts. Lots of tours seem to use the hotel, so the staff is very comfortable speaking in English with everyone.The entrance to the hotel faces the very busy street, but the rooms are all in the back of the hotel and are very quiet. We enjoyed our stay. I would suggest trying to get the breakfast included in the hotel price.

The hotel was clean, nice, the staff friendly and helpful, especially the Concierge. The location was great, within walking distance of many restaurants, and things to see in Amsterdam.

The room was very small and a bit tight for friends. It would be nice for a couple. But the room had a cozy private terrace. And the staff was wonderful! The two desk personnel we encountered were helpful, went out of their way to make sure we had what we needed for a great visit and made a point of having what we needed before we knew we needed it. The hotel was clean, the food just right and always a fresh cup of coffee waiting for us. I would return without thinking twice.

"Solid hotel"
Right next to the airport, super convenient. Cheap parking, gas station around the corner (rental cars). Clean, nice staff. Didn't eat at the restaurant, I think it was closed. But There's a great middle eastern place just down the road, best falafel ever!! So much food for incredible price. Exactly what we needed.

"The only problem is the location"
I would defintely reccomend the hotel to others if they have a car. If not, just keep in mind that it takes almost 1 hour to the city centre and it's quite expensive as well. The hotel itself is very good and very good balance quality/price
