"IBIS Marche' Vienna"
The hotel is ersatz American. They want to be seen as an upscale hotel: lots of glitz on the ground floor, eateries, gift shops, bars, an available driving range, and what ? A Burger King fast food. Rooms are clean, building is relatively new. For my wife and I, hotel was a layover booking for a 6:20a flight the following day. Served its purpose. But […] where does it miss as a good stop: 1. Miles from Vienna … NOT a tourist stop, or for a visit to town for dinner. 2. Shuttle to nearby airport does not exist: hotel calls a cab, you pay the cab 15 Euros ($20) + tip. Note trip from airport to hotel was 30 Euros ($40) + tip. 3. Room had but two (2) smallish bath towels, no washcloths, no hand towels, no mat for shower, inside or outside. 4. No wake-up coffee making facilities, 5. Rather austere room decorations (but that’s livable). 6. Room was booked on “Hotels” web site for $102.48. Not immediately recognizing pre-pay at check-in, clerk quoted a walk in rate of 63.50 Euros, more like $ 87. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Near the Vienna Airport"
We were leaving from the Vienna airport the next morning and were looking for somewhere close with free parking and free wi-fi. Hotel was located right off the highway. Customer service was excellent, the room was clean, and there were dining options downstairs.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great on-the-road hotel"
Everything was great! The prices at the restaurant are expensive but the lobby of the hotel offers some complimentary snacks/coffee/tea.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great hotel for overnighting near the airport"
Arrived late and the staff had everything ready. Great room for a quick overnight. WIFI in the lobby was perfect to catch up on work. Had a quick breakfast and back to the airport.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Not an airport hotel"
Had to pay $50 cab fare to get from airport to hotel. Otherwise hotel was nice.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Proximo ao aeroporto"
Achei a localização boa, pois é proximo do aeroporto de Vienna e precisava descansar uma noite para viajar de carro para outra cidade.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Longe do Aeroporto"
Genuine Expedia guest review

"Good hotel for airport access by car"
07/27/14 TiberiusVerax Melbourne
We chose ibis Schwechat as we were travelling by car and my wife had to catch a 6am flight. The hotel is to ibis standards, good staff, easy to find (how hard can it be to find a hotel on the autobahn?) and provides the necessary facilities for overnight stays. The bed and pillows are very comfortable, giving you a good rest before your flight. Although we did not dine there, there is a Marche restaurant downstairs which provides adequate food at a 20% discount to hotel guests. Parking is free and plenty of it. There is also free wifi with good reception. If you want to sightsee in Vienna, even cursory research should tell you that this is not the place to stay. Why would you stay in an autobahn hotel without a car?
"Only with car! Perfect for Road Trip!"

The ibis Schwechat is located on the S1 Highway in a service area. Don't book the hotel, if you're not travelling with a car. There's only access with a car! The car park is free direct for the hotel entrance. The room ist clean, but with the carpet is something wrong, it looks dirty but seems to be cleaned. Bed, telly, wardrope and en-suite are ibis standard, the check in is located next to the Marché restaurant, which was very tasty but also pricy. I drove with my car to the terminal stop of the u-bahn (underground) and parked my car there. That's a 10 mins drive. Don't refuel your car at the gas station, the prices are 10-15ct/l higher than other Vienna gas stations!
"Airport Hotel? My foot!"

We paid 30 euro to go by taxi to this godforsaken place. We where in Vienna in transit, and thougth that 12 hours could be used for a little sightseeing in the city and a nice dinner there. But, this hotel is on a rastplatz on the highway, with absoultely no public transportation, so de spend our evening in Vienna in the 'marche restaurant'in the reception here. And had, og cause, the pleasure og driving back to the airport in a taxi. The hotel have no shuttlebus, but they have an agreement with a taxicompagny and arranged kindly our transportation for only 16 euro. The food in 'marche'? Well, we've had worse, but this was medium boring cafeteriafood, quite expensive though. There is actually a hotel at the airport, from where there is a fasttrain to the citycenter, my recommendation is: Find this instead ;0)

I had trouble finding it without working GPS in the rent car. Being called Airport hotel, I would have expected this to be easier driving out of the airport. Some signs on the highways near the airport would have helped.
"An "Airport" Hotel That's Far From the Airport"
04/07/14 Hugh S Alexandria, Virginia
The Ibis Vienna Airport is quite far from the airport, perhaps 12 miles or so. The complex has two restaurants, a general store, a gift shop, and a golf driving range, but it's quite isolated. The hotel services are good.

A few rooms attached to a motorway service area. Rooms are to Ibis high standard- the rest is rubbish, No hotel restaurant or bar- Take your choice from Marche(motorway chain)or BurgerKing. Never again!
"ideal for one night"

It is a new hotel, close to the airport (10 minutes driving), easy reachable, reasonable prices. large, free parking. They have the good Ibis beds, perfectly soundproof Windows (but can be open by guests), clean bathroom, what else one need for one night? There is Marche restaurant and Burger King in the same building, ok for a simple dinner or breakfast.
"Hotel is fine, but transportation is a nightmare."
01/06/14 Brenda S Norman, Oklahoma
Do not stay at this hotel unless you have your own transportation. We were rather startled when we arrived as we had not realized that the hotel is at a service area (Marche restaurant, convenience store, gas station, and truck stop) off a freeway. When we realized the nearest public transport was 3 km away and there was no safe way to walk there, we were shocked. We had to call a taxi to be driven either to the Simmering metro/train/bus station for about 20 euros or to Schwechat train station for 10 euros (Kledering station is also an option). Getting back from Vienna was the real nightmare, as taxi drivers in various parts of the city (including the Simmering metro station) said they knew where the hotel was, but they didn’t. It appears that the only taxi service that knows the hotel is Taxi Funk Schwechat (phone 707 88 88). They were lifesavers! After a couple of days, we learned the trick of taking the train back to Schwechat station and finding one of their drivers waiting at the station or calling them directly to have them pick us up. Also note that it will cost you 13 euros to get to the airport as the hotel does not have a shuttle. Otherwise, no complaints about the hotel itself. Clean, comfortable, and quiet. The breakfast was good although non-standard, as it was done buffet-style in the Marche Restaurant.

I went on a trip with my family to Europe and I have stayed in Ibis Vienna Airport. One of the ladies in the front office was really treating us rude and it was my worst stay with Accor. I have called the hotel before booking to confirm by a phone call that the hotel that I will be able to get extra bed after I found on Accor website that supplement beds can be provided. We were 3 and they only offered an extra room not extra bed which was more than double price. The lady was not talking nicely and she even told me during conversation that “the conversation is not moving forward and I need you to tell me what you will do”. It ended up one of us sleeping on the floor using the extra blanket and I even asked for an extra pillow and they reception told me that they don`t provide or keep any extras?!?!?!??! I even heard them laughing as soon as I left. On the other day the room service took the extra blanket at the room and I called the reception when I found out that and they told me it is not normal to keep extra blanket at room and “They were kind enough the day before to leave it for us”. Avoid this hotel since they have unprofessional crew and it doen`t reflect any of Accor standards.(Worst experience I had in Europe hotels) My rating is below: Customer service: Rude, unfriendly and unprofessional Location: It is terrible since it not near from city and It doesn`t have access on public transportation Comfort:The hotel doesn`t provide any extra pillow or blanket and they are not freindly woth any request from guest
