Seehotel Luitpold - Tegernsee

Clean and comfortable rooms are small by U.S. standards but are typical of small hotels in the area. Owners are often present and working to serve clients. The buffet breakfast is very good and the restaurant meals are of excellent quality. The meals are typical of the area, tasty and you don't go away hungry. The S-Bahn, rapid transit system, is located not far from the front of the hotel, it runs frequently and gives access to downtown Munich in about 20 minutes, an easy way to see this wonderful city.

There is no reason to stay here unless you trying to save money for Oktoberfest, which we were. It was fantastic. Free internet in the room, which was huge and clean, excellent service, and just a 10-15 minute walk from the train station. Literally took us no more than a half hour to get to Oktoberfest even though this place is a ways out of town. For the comfort and value, I would highly recommend this place. Excellent hearty breakfast too!

This was one heck of a treck from Munchen to Bad Wiessee via BOB to the Bus about an 1.5 hr commute. It's located in a picture perfect location, breathe taking. The hotel is nice, a little weird set up....got there, checked in....was walked to another building to our room. The room was fairly large for Europe. The breakfast is nice, but hours are only 7:30 -10:00, not very user friendly to those who travel by train/bus. Nothing is in English to help figure things out. Reception is closed at 8pm and no one to help until 7:30am, very dissapointing.

Everything was great about the hotel. The clerk spoke English very well and explained everything very clearly. The hotel is a little dated and when people walked around in adjacent rooms it sounded as if they were in my room. The only thing I didn't like was the shower setup. It was quite odd, hard to explain, but I managed to flood the entire bathroom because the shower doors didn't lock or block all the water. Overall the hotel is great and would recommend staying there. Unfortunately, time didn't permit me going to the water park portion of the hotel which I understand is great.
