We are very satisfy with this hotel. It is located in 5 minutes walking distance from Florence central station. Excellent restaurant next door with 10% for hotel guests. We stayed in one of the unit with kitchen. There are supermarkets nearby. Breakfast is buffet style with many choices. Hotel staff is very helpful. They even helped us to print out train tickets when we purchased on line. We would definitely stay in this hotel again if we went to Florence again.

The staff here were fabulous, even calling our hotel in Rome before we left them to ask a question for us. The room for two adults, a 6'+ 15 yr old and a 16 yr old was more then big enough and bright and airy. The bell tower outside the window was beautiful. Staying here you are close to the Duomo and convenient to the train station, which is fabulous when you are training between cities in Rome. We would most definitely stay here again!

Description of Locanda Gallo - Florence

Location.
Conveniently near the airport, Locanda Gallo is in the heart of Florence, within walking distance of Florence Botanical Gardens, Statue of David, and Academy Gallery. Also nearby are Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore and San Lorenzo Church.

Property Features.
Complimentary wireless Internet access is available in public areas. The staff can provide tour/ticket assistance and tour assistance. Additional amenities include multilingual staff, laundry facilities, and express check-in. Guest parking is available for a surcharge. This is a smoke-free property.

I only have good things to say about this hotel. The people that run it were very helpful and definately went the extra mile to make use feel comfortable... in Florence. The room was charming and spacious, with a nice big bathroom and a little kitchen that had a fridge. Very Clean. Location was fabulous.....you can walk to most attractions within a few minutes. The farthest I walked was to Giardino Boboli and that took me 20 minutes. There are great restaurants nearby and it is a really safe area. I went out jogging every night with no problems at all. Also, there is a laundromat right next door that has easy English instructions! There is a little supermarket one block away as well. The post office is on the next street. You can even walk to the hotel from the train station as long as your bags aren't too big (about 7 minute walk.) They tell you too call before you arrive, that is if their phone would work. When we arrived in Florence had to find a map to find hotel because their phone had an error and we could not call to let them know our arrival time. They only have someone in the office from 10-1. The store owner next to guest house made a call for us. There was another couple […] trying to call them too. They had no luck getting them on the phone. The room was typical europe clean but old. No hot water and you could not call anyone to complain. They are about 20 min walk to sites which was not bad, and not far from train station. I will not stay in a hotel or guest house that does not have 24/7 reception.....we thought we would give a guest house a try. Would not return too this guest house. Read more

취가 가능하고 두오모 광장과 10분정도 거리라는 것이 장점이지만 숙소 위치를 찾는데 힘들었습니다. 이탈리아가 간판이 잘 되어 있지 않아 알아보기 힘들고, 구글지도에서 나온 곳과도 일치하지 않았습니다. 새로 생긴 곳이라 현지 주민들도 모르더라구요. 다행히 숙소 주인이 찾으러 나오셔서 겨우 알게되었습니다. 약간 외진 곳이라는 것만 빼고는 괜찮았습니다.
