I use this hotel a lot, in the beginning it was only overnight for the ferry now I stay 3/4 days and enjoy Santander, the hotel itself is very good the staff are excellent particularly at reception and Fidel is a fountain of knowledge.The position gives the best of both worlds and the bus stops about 100yds away the bus fare is cheap so travelling around once youve left your car is very reasonable

This hotel was great for a 2 day beach getaway. It was right on the beach with views of the ocean from every room. Our balcony was comfortable, but overlooked the parking lot and was on the first floor so we were unable to leave the door open overnight and there were no windows to open (would have been nice given there is no AC in the hotel). With that said, parking was free of charge at this hotel, a huge bonus. The only true negative about this hotel was that there were very few restaurants near the hotel as it is at the northern end of El Sardinero beach. However, we learned during our second day there that taxis to town (where there is excellent food) are cheap (3-5 euros each way) and the hotel has a nice cafe for tapas or a quick morning snack.

very relaxing and quiet hotel, felt like staying at home now a corporate big hotel. breakfast was good, a slightly nicer continental breakfast. hot water in the shower/tub, comfy bed, enough space for 2 in the room. the grounds are expansive and lovely to walk around.

I thought the Posada was in Santilana del Mar. It is nearby in Urriaca, but since there are so many rural posadas in the area, it is hard to get directions.... Once we knew it was in Urriaca, it was easy to find since there is only one main street. Once there, the hosts were very gracious and helpful, It is on old rural house converted into a B & B, which we found very enjoyable.
