"Igazi olasz környék"
Nagyon jó ár-érték arányú B&B. Közel a belvároshoz, igazi olasz hangulatú, turistamentes környéken. Jó, olcsó étkezési lehetőségek vannak a környéken(a legjobb pizzánkat itt ettük Rómában). A szállás tiszta, egyszerűen berendezett lakás 3 szobával. Rengeteget segített nekünk a napunk megtervezésében.

Maximiliano is a friendly host, that prepares you a nice breakfast while answers to all the questions that a half-tourist has about rome and the neighbourhood. the B&B is nice, the room is confortable, the bathroom had a large window, everything was clean. the B&B is very well located, at testaccio, near the river, public transportations and sta. maria de la libertrice, one of the most nice squares in rome (with a theatre, a library/bar, ice-creams, a nice garden and people all day long.
"Very nice romantic place in Rome."

Testaccio da Max has everything you need to visit Rome. It is located in a charming neighbor-hood near the river Tiber. Bus stops and metro are located in convenient distance. Massimiliano, the owner is very good guiding, answering questions, making breakfast. Room has its own bathroom and is equipped with everything we need. I would recommend this B&B

We stayed 3 nights at the B&B of Max and we will certainly return. Testaccio is very quiet while being close to the center of Rome (15 minutes walk to the Colisée). Large room, very comfortable bed, very clean. Max is very welcoming and great coffee in the morning!
"Good place to stay"

This B & B is in the heart of work class Rome. Our room was spacious, clean and quiet. We had a small, private bathroom but it wasn't ensuite- a bit of an inconvenience, but not too bad. The other 2 rooms offered did have ensuite bathrooms so you need to specify. Although we enjoyed the area, it was a bit of a trek going to and from the historice area every day. There are buses closeby but they were always very hot and crowded. The metro is a 10-15 minute walk away so we felt the hotel was remote enough that we didn't go back to the hotel midday as we would have liked. Max is very friendly and helpful with information and answering any questions you may have about the city. He provides a sufficient breakfast with fresh fruit, packaged pastries, juice and hot beverages. He asked us if we would like anything additional and brought in salami at our request. The price is really the selling point here. Max offers a comfortable refuge in a chaotic city for a good price, but a bit out of way.
"We felt very welcome in Rome because of Max and his B&B!"

From 9-13th of june we stayed at A Testaccio da Max. We had a very good time in Rome and also at this B&B. Max contacted us the week before we would go to Rome and sent us some information. He also texted us before we took our plane and gave us advice about the easiest way to travel to his place. We found this was very helpful! Max has 3 rooms which are of a good size and very clean. Two of them have a bathroom inside. We had the room with the bathroom just outside of the room, but this was not a problem at all. In the small kitchen breakfast was served every morning. The breakfast is a bit sweet for us dutch people but it was nice with good coffee and cakes and yoghurt. He asked us if we wanted anything special so you can ask for something you like which i think is very nice. You can also choose at what time you want your breakfast. He also is willing to answer all the questions you might have about Rome and comes up with suggestions what places you might wanna visit. The B&B is not realy in the centre of Rome. Its in the neighborhood Testaccio near Travastreve. You can take bus 170 to Piazza Venezia. The bus stop is just around the corner of the B&B! By foot it will take about 15/20 minutes to reach Piazza Venezia. So this is not that far away but still the location for some people might be a little too far away from the city centre. For us this was not a problem so I would highly recommend this lovely place!! Even at night walking to the B&B was not bad we felt very safe. You can just follow the river so you wont get lost :) I would recommend NOT to use the metro to get to this B&B at night though. The closest stop is Paramide which is not very close and I did not feel too comfortable in that area. I even felt a bit scared!

My husband and I were on our honeymoon and stayed at the Max B&B. The host, Max, was extremely friendly and helpful. He made our stay all the more comfortable and we wouldn't hesitate to stay again. The room and bathroom were exceptionally clean and breakfast just what we needed. I wish all B&B could be as reliable as this.....definitely 10/10 stay.
"Excellent value and perfectly run"

I stayed ten days in November 2011 at this place and was thoroughly satisfied. Room in impeccable condition, everything working, extremely clean and the host very reliable. Matrass was good and the hot water coming immediately. And very important: a macchinetta coffee in the morning... Excellent hub to visit Rome, testaccio is a special place for those who do not want to stay surrounded by World Tourism.
"Perfect place to stay in Rome (great price, great location)"

This was the first place we stayed in our 6 week trip through Europe... and it was one of the nicest. Max was very personal and made every effort to make sure we were well taken care of. He met us at the door of the B&B, and walked us through our entire stay, and shared his thoughts on best places to see. The breakfast was traditional: sweets, pastries yoghurt, juice and coffee. Max had sandwiches on two of the mornings as well. The location is outside of the main tourist part, but it's perfect if you have a few days. The surrounding area of Testaccio is really cool to explore if you want to get to know the non-touristy Rome. We went for dinner here 3 of the 4 nights, simply because we liked it. The Pyramid and graveyards in the area are although well worth a visit. We caught a cab to the Vatican and were there in 8 mins... but mostly walked and bussed to all the other sites. You can't beat this place for the price! It was difficult to find with just the address, but if we would have taken the google map with us it would have been much easier.

My wife and me stayed for 10 days in June 2010 at the Bed & Breakfast „A Testaccio da Max“ and it was the best choice we could do. The B&B is located near the center of Rome, with a bus stop around the corner (cheap bus connections every 10 minutes all day!) and even within walking distance to Piazza Venezia and all the great monuments (20 minutes to walk). The pension has three rooms on the 4th floor of a typical and clean Roman house. Room „Giulia“ is the biggest room, with a balcony and view to the street and some old ruins. It is furnished very tasteful, and it has air-condition and new noise-reduction windows like the other rooms, too. Room „Livia“ is next door and smaller, and it has it’s private bathroom outside in the lobby. Room „Massimo“ looks to the quiet courtyard. Max is a very good host and will help you with every question you might have to ask. His English is good, and every morning you’ll get a really splendid breakfast with Italian coffee, juice and yoghurt (even at your own choice), sandwichs with ham or jam (at your coice), delicious cakes – he changes the menue every day a little. We did enjoy our stay very much and if you are looking for a fine place to stay near the center of that pitturesque city, this B&B is really one of the best places you can find.
"Good B&B in Great Area"

We stayed for three nights in October 2008, booking via a site called venere.com. We paid euros 80 per night including breakfast. About a week before the trip Massimiliano (the proprietor) called me to check if we were still coming and to advise on payment (cash only). He gave good advice on how to reach him. The day before he called again to advise us there was a transport strike, which was nice of him. We stayed in one of the two en suite rooms (the one facing onto the street). It was largish, clean and bright, with a balcony. It had air con, which you'd want in the summer. Breakfast was pastries, coffee and juice in the little kitchen. The B&B itself is in a residential block, but only 100 yards from the centre of Testaccio, which has a number of great pizzerias, restaurants and (less so) bars. We’d previously stayed in Trastevere, but preferred Testaccio much more. Without wanting to be precious about “undiscovered” places, you didn’t hear many foreign voices in the restaurants, and that was quite nice, and when we did spend a night in Trastevere, it seemed like a circus in comparison with its plethora of tourist oriented bars and restaurants. You can jump on a bus 50 yards from the door to B&B Max into central Rome (about 2Km to Piazza Venezia I’d say, so you could walk if you felt energetic). All in all we were very enthusiastic about the location, and the B&B was everything we needed, and I would stay again.
