"Nice hotel, but better if it's not summer."
I read the trip advisor reports about this hotel, but I rolled the dice anyway and lost. Every warning is true, there are five floors and no elevator and there is no air conditioning. We ended up on the fourth floor, but I want to say the stairs didn't bother us or carrying the luggage. We traveled with our two kids, 9 and 11 years old. The quadruple […] room was comfortable with lots of space. The bathroom was really nice. The staff were helpful and sweet and we liked them a lot. Now for the only negative. It was over ninety degrees, and where all the heat rises in a room near the top. They provided a fan but that was no relief. I liked the hotel, liked the room, liked the price, but its not worth it to be up all night in the heat with only two tiny windows. I would return, but never in the summer or during a heat wave. Oh, and one last thing, it was difficult to find. You cannot drive right up to it and the numbers in the plaza are out of sequence! It is over a restaurant of the same name. "The Golden Scissors - Prague"
The hotel is placed near the historic Charles Bridge at the heart of Prague. A very intimate hotel in an excellent neighbourhood. Easy to walk to the majority of the historic sites in Prague (Charles Bridge is 50 meters away). Good service and nice rooms.

Just a few steps away from the Charles Bridge, this lovely restaurant had a good value fixed price lunch of potato soup and omelette for 160 Czech Crowns (just over £5). The waiter was a bit forgetful but quickly recovered himself and we had a pleasant time here. It's worth going again if the prices remain this good.

Perfect location, at 20 meters from Charles Bridge, nearby the park and the river. Our room was very luminous and quite big, clean and complete of everything. Restaurants everywhere in the neighborhood. For those who care: wi-fi connection is not that good in the rooms.
"Great restaurant by Charles Bridge"

We go here at least once every time we visit Prague. Never disappointed. It's so close to the Charles Bridge you can enjoy the view in summer time. In winter, it's a cozy little place with great service. Good selection of Czech and International dishes.
"New year break"
Second time we have stayed here. Primarily for the location. Staff friendly and breakfast is what you eould expect. Rooms seem to have been refurbished but not sure. Room 3 spacious enough. Bathroom a bit small, no mirror in room and the street light shines in the room illuminating it through the night. . Asked for extra pillows but never got them. Will sort out taxis for you. Never ate there except for breakfast

Am writing this review whilst still being here, on arrival we were extremly impressed by the rooms in this beautiful building, the shear size was impressive, have stayed at more expensive hotels with much smaller rooms than the bathroom this one has!!!!! A full sized shower and a bath that just begs to be used, the staff extremly friendly, english speaking and nothing too much trouble, when late for breakfast one morning I enquired if there were any more eggs, a lesser hotel would have said no yet here I was brought my own plate of eggs, the quiet extra mile that makes a break, as for location we couldnt ask for any more, 100 meters off Charles bridge so away enough from the hustle bustle but a tiny walk to be in the thick of all the action, a beautiful city is prague and upon our return when ever that may be then this hotel will be the very top of my list to book again!!!!
"Nice little pub/restaurant"

We stepped in here out of the cold to have two hot mulled wines, which were the best we've had so far, and tried some goulash. It was very nicely flavored, not too salty and came with a few pieces of bread. My husband and I shared the dish which turned out to be a nice warm tasty surprise!
"Central but quiet"

Staying in Mala Strana was a right choice. Hotal is near Karlov bridge, but far away from touristic hordes. View from hotel windows is at bridge and a quiet pedestrian square. Hotel itself is small and cozy, with 10 rooms, placing in historilac building. Extremely comfy beds, well sized room, big bathroom. Nice breakfasts. Staff are young and friendly people, speaking good English. 2 weak points: there is no elevator in hotel; it wasn't a problem for us, but still be aware. And hotel's restaurant didn't impress us. Well, life is not perfect ) All in all, we loved our stay and would recommend this hotel.
"Best location in Prague"

This hotel has on big benefit from the others, it is in the pest part of Prague, Kampa. The service is perfect, at the reception, in the restaurant. The hotel is quite cheap, so I like that. You can sleep perfectly, especially if you are in a high floor. Also the high floor rooms are the best, because they are the biggest and nicest (according to me). The hotel is clean.

It is the staff that make this hotel special. We received personal assistance and suggestions on how best to enjoy Prague. They sincerely want you to enjoy the hotel and Prague. The room was good as was the full breakfast. The hotel is in a quiet, beautiful and romantic location in the hearth of Prague.

All was perfect for visiting prague with our two children (4 and6 years) - hotel is very well positioned with belle view :-) relation between price and quality is positive. Rich breakfast. You could feel home made food in your plate.
