My girlfriend and I stayed at Adagio in Caen Centre while I was on a week-long business trip in town. The studio room was perfect for us because it gave us a kitchen in which to cook for ourselves part of the time, instead of eating out every meal. There are a couple grocery stores within easy walking distance, one just outside the hotel entrance. The staff was very friendly, spoke English well, and helped us out anytime we needed it. The location couldn't be better: right on the Orne River within a short walk of restaurants, shopping, nightclubs and city attractions. Highly recommend!

We loved staying here - the location was very convenient and close to the center of town. The couple that owns this hotel was extremely friendly and helpful, our room was clean and comfortable, and the price was reasonable. All in all, a great stay.

We had a stopover on the way to Normandy and this is a good choice. Clean and well placed. Down near a harbor and on Sunday there is a huge market out front. Use the parking (10EU) as it solves a lot of issues. Breakfast is ok. There are restaurants nearby but we did not use them. Also see the Caen D-day museum first, it is the best one and you can skip some of the others.

By European standards, the room was quite comfortable. The hotel staff all spoke English & could not have been more helpful. They went above & beyond! The biggest complaint I have about the hotel is that the hallways were extremely dark.

Taking the very reasonable cost into account a perfectly adequate hotel for an overnight stay. Not particularly easy to find but easier than finding the local Ibis! Staff very helpful and friendly.

We loved the Hotel Tardif in Bayeux. It is a lovely old home, and operated more like a B & B. The manager, Anthony, was quite accommodating. Our room was small but pretty and quite comfy. The breakfast for $9E was quite substantial and good. I would highly recommend it, since getting even a coffee in the morning is quite difficult--places don't open […] until about lunch time. The Tardif was centrally located--between the Cathedral and the Bayeux Tapestry--all within a 2 block area! Lots of restaurants and parking nearby. Also, the beautiful garden is also a free car park! This is the best hotel by far in Bayeux. Very small town so this hotel is close to everything. We were there for a D-Day tour. A most charming converted chateau in the heart of Bayeux, one block from the cathedral and one block from the Tapestry Museum. Our room, the least expensive was spotlessly clean and most comfortable.
