Great, but the pork roast served in the restaurant was red and bloody in the center. When I commented to the waitress, she said it was okay, not rare. I guess your definition of rare differs from mine.

Location.
Located in Berlin (Prenzlauer Berg), City Guesthouse Pension Berlin is a family-friendly hotel close to Max-Schmeling-Halle, Mauerpark, and Gesundbrunnen Shopping Center. Also nearby are Alexanderplatz and Berlin Wall Memorial.

Great value; good location -- easy 10-minute ride to museum island/other attractions in city center; good neighborhood -- good energy, choices of... bars/restaurants; love the wine/tapas place next door; amazing breakfast; cheerful, modern, clean, comfortable rooms. We are a family with kids ages 5 and 7, and the room was perfect. I was told our room would have 2 rooms and it was one (but 1 worked out just fine). WiFi didn't work in our room but did in public areas, which was fine. Don't count on any "front desk help" -- e.g., tourism tips -- it's a no-fuss kind of place. Vi boede 5 pers i en 2-værelses lejlighed med køkken og bad. Rigtig rummelighed lejlighed. Dejlige senge. Hotellet ligger 5 min fra u-Bahn, 10 min med u-Bahn til Alexander Platz, 5 min gang til nærmeste shoppingcenter. God morgenmad. God service fra personalet. Gratis parkering lige foran hotellet. Good location and tasty breakfast. Some noise from corridors, not from streets. Actually the walls are so thin that you can hear snoring of neighboring rooms (first floor). Tidy rooms.

Meget fint sted. Havde bestilt et hotelværelse, men fik en hel lejlighed, rigtig fint. Det eneste minus var, at der lige var ferniseret gulve og det var en lidt kraftig lugt.

Vi havde en overnatning i Berlin og til dette formål var hotellet helt perfekt (kunne uden problemer havde haft nogle flere dage på lokationen). Personalet var meget hjælpsomme og for et depositum i receptionen kan man parkere gratis. Kort til indkøb (Nette), station og den hyggelige stemning i Prenzlauer Berg.

Insgsamt ist das Hotel klasse, die Einrichtung iist super schön und neuwertig. Die Mitarbeiter sind sehr nett, allerdings nicht gut geschult. Ich hatte Probleme, meine Rechnung zu zahlen. Wollte dies schon am Vorabend erledigen, aufgrund früher Termine am nächsten Tag. Am Morgen teilte mit Mitarbeiterin dann mit, dass Kreditkartenzahlung am Vorabend […] wohl nicht funktioniert hätte, der Kollege hätte keine Bestätigungsmail erhalten. Ich müsse nochmal zahlen. Schonmal ein mulmiges Gefühl. Danach war die Dame weder in der Lage, von meiner EC noch von meiner Kreditkarte abzubuchen (sie erzählte etwas von Formularen, die nur der Chef hätte????). Wir haben uns schließlich geeinigt, dass ich nach meinem Termin bar bezahle, weil ich den Koffer eh deponieren wollte. Davon abgesehen waren alle wirklich super nett und hilfsbereit. Ich habe am Morgen allerdings noch einen anderen Gast kennen gelernt, der auch Zahlungsschwierigkeiten hatte. Also, Bargeld mitnehmen und alles ist gut. Die Lage ist super, viele günstige kleine Cafes und Restaurants um die Ecke. Read more
