"Interesting location close to port, ocean."
Tonino-I think was his name as he didn't introduce himself- was helpful in pointing out the local sights and in suggesting places to visit and eat. Breakfast was basic with juice, coffee, and a sweet roll and sweet bread. Location is a surprise, down 230 feet on a winding cobblestone road without sidewalks and not the easiest to get to but there is […] an elevator that works only 8 am to 1 pm. Unit we stayed in was clean. There''s a kitchen but it's not to be used and only beverages are allowed in the refrigerator. The owner also runs the restaurant and I think they want you to eat there instead of fixing your own food. There is some road noise from the stone street. We did not have an ocean view or balcony and didn't know if it was available. If we went again we would ask for a room with a view. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Fab stay at L'Approdo"

We stayed for 4 nights in August 2014 and wished we had stayed longer. It is a spotless B&B with fab owners Toni and Anna. The accomodation was spacious, had a fab view of the marina and perfect for our needs. Breakfast was beautiful pastries and great coffee. We ate at their restaurant on two of our nights and it was excellent. We used the B&B as a base for exploring the surrounding area. We visited Pompei, Sorrento and The Amalfi Coast easily accessible using the local train service. Be aware that this accomodation is at the bottom of a cliff but you can reach it by car, on foot and there is a lift ( at a small cost of 0.50 euro per person). Only wished we had spend a little longer there but we will be going back.

Booked by mistake (!) but glad we did. This was a fantastic friendly place to stay with amazing views over the marina to wards Capri. Away from the crowds of Sorrento but easy access by train to Sorrento, Pompeii, Herculaneum and Naples. Totally agree with Lawrie E and Karin B. Definately go there again if in the area.
"Great Hideaway close to Sorrento"

Drove down a super winding and narrow road but what a find! A quaint little fishing village with a wonderful B & B. The owners super friendly, our room was up stairs but not difficult. Large room (apartment style) with a kitchen but definitely not to be used as advised by the brief! There is a restaurant inside the B&B and also outside on a deck which is also run by the Owners, we ate each evening outside which was wonderful overlooking the marina. Food was excellent and well priced. Tony, the owner suggested a boat trip across to Capri which takes you all the way around the island, a fabulous day out...included sandwich and drinks, leave the marina at 10am and return at 6pm.Free car parking is included a little way up the hill from the B&B. Definitely would stay here again.
"A real Gem (off the beaten track)"

It looks a bit sinister taking the winding road down to the marina but we loved L'Aproddo B&B and could have stayed for months! The owner couldn't have been more helpful as were also his staff, especially Anna (who also cleans the rooms). Our apartment had a marina view (just) and was very large. Puzzlingly we couldn't use the kitchen even though it was there? Breakfast was excellent and we would have eaten every we stayed except that the restaurant closes on Mondays. We highly recommend the location as it is away from the tourists in Sorrento and yet only a train ride from all the poplar places. We took a boat from outside our apartment direct to Capri and were treated to an excellent tour around the Island and a very fast return trip! We would recommend the B&B to anyone.

This hotel is located in the outskirts of Sorrento, steep down on the small harbour. An elevator takes you up but closed 1 pm. Taxi is expensive up. Better to pay more for a centrally located hotel. Also the breakfast wasn´t very good.
"So much nicer than Sorrento!"

We arrived on a Monday, which is the only day the restaurant is closed, the owners were so kind as to make us a fantastic lunch before showing us to our rooms! Tonino, the really sweet owner and his wife, could not be more helpful! Our room is massive with views out over the marina we could not have asked for more! If you are thinking of going to Sorrento but do not want to be elbowing your way through the streets with the tourists then this is the place for you! We ate here a couple of times during our stay and the food was amazing! Price wise it is a good deal, you will not be disappointed if you book this hotel! I will come and stay again!
"Would stay again & again!"

Amazing place, would stay again. Pro; It's in the port where the boats to Capri leave from, Family run, so service is high, Rooms are clean- our room had an amazing view over the port and was very large, Location is an easy walk from the station Piano Di sorrento, Hotel owner has a restaurant and the food is Amazing- try the pizza Price is very good for what you get Coffee in the morning is real coffee A little beach across the road if you want a swim, The hotel sent my swimmers I left in the room to the next hotel so I could have them in the next place :) Cons; we didn't know there was a lift down the cliff side so we walked down, yep that's all I can fault! This place is a great stay and the boat trip we did was fantastic! Blue grotto is a must, even if you think it's a bit touristy.
"Wonderful B&B - I recommend"

I really enjoyed my stay at this bed and breakfast. It is right by the water, tastefully decorated, and clean. It also has an amazing restaurant attached, which belongs to the owner of the b&b. Speaking of the owner, he was one of the primary reasons why I enjoyed my stay. He is extremely kind and helpful. One of my friends lost her cell phone on the trip to the hotel and he drove us back to the train station and made a number of calls for us in an effort to help my friend find her phone. I have never seen this type of engagement from a property owner. One thing to keep in mind about this b&b is that it is not in downtown Sorrento. It is about a 10 minute drive from the main area. However, it is very simple to get to center city, as it is only one metro stop away. I actually preferred the more quiet location of L’aprodo than one of the hotels that would have been in center city. All in all, it was a great stay, and I would recommend this property to other travelers.
"Forget Sorrento, stay HERE !!!"

We had spent 2 weeks roadtripping the southern Italian coast, and were long overdue a few hours of chilling. We don`t very often leave time for that, because we get bored doing it. Then we arrived at this little jewel of a hotel/harbour/peninsula/in the most beautiful country in the world. Our host was so welcoming, and showed us to a wonderful attic suite of rooms, with an amazing view over the harbour towards Capri. The kitchen area was out of use, unless pre-arranged for a fee, I believe, but that was understandable. Bathroom was immaculate, and unusual, but sadly missing a bath. Immaculately clean, superbly located. Head down to the harbour, turn right and follow the quay, and you`ll come cross a sweet little swimmable still water beach, with caves and rockpools if your into exploring the nature of a place, with only 1 or 2 other tourists this time of year. And sunset photos are stunning from here. There is also an excellent restaurant at that end of the beach, Ristorante Fracatell`.....tell the lovely ladies Maria from England sent ya !! (if L`Approdo isn`t open of course !! The most perfect end to an amazing trip. Really wish we could have stayed longer.
"Delightful waterfront inn"
11/09/12 GrandfatherRobert London, United Kingdom
We stayed here for a romantic long weekend and it could hardly have been more perfect. The room was large, clean and comfortable, Tonino and his family were friendly and professional, and the restaurant, right on the waterfront, was excellent and very reasonably priced. The hotel is 15/20 minutes' walk from Piano Station on the line from Naples to Sorrento (downhill all the way and thus uphill on the way back!). The only downside was the noise of Vespa tricycles which started rather early in the morning and was audible despite the double glazing.
