The location is perfect, right across the street from the Valporetto (the water bus). Eugenio, the concierge is the best I have experienced in any hotel in any country. He went out of his way to make our stay wonderful. Coffee and tea any time of day, letting me use the hotel computer (several times), arranging a free motorboat ride to the glass works in Murano,marking a map with the number of the valporetto to take (including the times for when we had to leave early to get to the airport, and just being one of the nicest people I have ever met! The room was spacious and immaculate with three windows, one overlooking the Grand Canal. The bathroom was spotless and well lit, even had a towel warmer for the towels, the heating control was well appreciated since it snowed the day we arrived! With the Valporetto station just across the street it is easy to get anywhere in Venice. About 20 minutes from the bus station at Pont Roma on the 5.1 to the hotel. Or take the line 1 and cruise down the Grand Canal on the way to the hotel. I love Lido since one doesn't have to cross bridges or walk a long way to the hotel and there are many restaurant choices within a 2 block area.

Hotel was closed at 10pm., a nightmare, we had to drive around knocking everywhere and pay double just to sleep in another hotel. We called unaware they closed reception at 21 but owner didnt' offer to let us in. The next night we returned, the room was ice cold w tiles and no heater in the freezing bath. Parking is a problem. Gate doesn't lock, not […] sure it's safe, no security, you get in and see nobody. I wouldn't stay there alone; the street is empty and the neighborhood has no stores, no restaurants, awfully quiet, sad. We drove around to find a pizzeria but saw lots of hookers nearby. The breakfast was not good, served in a covered small and narrow veranda, very cold! Bread/coffee cold. Drive a few more km to Marghera or Stra and pay less for more. I wouldn't come back, since this was a "pay at hotel", the front desk lady charged us more and was rude to me when I tried to explain that we had booked 2 nights for basically what she was asking for the one night but she insisted it was impossible and patronized me by saying they did us a favor not charging for the night when they never open the door to us!!! Better pay in advance. We had to leave to the airport and were out of time to call the owner and argue. We won't be back or recommend the cold, mediocre "bed and breakfast". Read more

Generellt bra. Hotellets personal var bra men bekvämligheter inte så bra. Frukosten "a la italiana" består mest av söta saker. Rummet var för litet och bor man på första våningen måste man själv bära väskorna till och från rummet. Men huset är charmigt och har en trevlig trädgård samt personalen är väldigt trevligt.
