"Good Night Could be Better at Night Hotel"
Hotel location is fantastic. Right next to Times Square. Rooms are very small but well priced for the area, so that's OK - big complaint was the horrendously loud and old air conditioning units, and the doors that slam shut. If they addressed some noise issues, this would be a charming hotel. Please note the standard rooms are great for 1 person, but […] would barely accomodate 2. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"This is NOT the Night Hotel on 45th street"
Years ago I used to stay at the Night Hotel every week on business. A small boutique hotel with lots of charm. I booked the 'Night Hotel' on hotels.com, checking that it was around Times Square, only to find out that they opened a sister hotel two blocks up. The 'Hotel Night Time Square' was horrible. The reservation was a 'medium queen' which means […] a full-size bed, take the word queen out of the room title if it ISN'T a queen bed. They had a modern glass shower, that then had a traditional curtain installed inside making sure the curtain would rub on you during your entire shower ... probably about 14" of space between shower curtain and wall. Also, they are remodeling the building next store so I hope you don't like sleeping past 7am. The front-desk person at Night Hotel says 'oh this happens a lot' ... maybe you should change the name or bring the quality of the 'Night Hotel Times Square' to the original Night Hotel. The location is fantastic, the decor is really nice. Basically the housekeepers would purposaly slam all the doors, to the point I would feel the whole room shake. On my last day, I requested a late check out, at 12 they knocked on my door and told them I have a late check out. Two housekeepers talking among themselves, one said hit their door with […] the vacuum! The bed and pillow were super uncomfortable and the AC did not cool down properly. Couldn't wait to sleep in my own bed! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"The Good. The Bad. The Ugly."
The Good: 1. Location is walking distance from TSQ, Theatres, Rock, etc. Great location. 2. Price was competitive. The Bad: 1. Bed/mattress was so old, cheap and/or overused, it had a valley that you couldn't escape. Automatically rolled to middle. 2. Noise (not hotels fault) was relentless. Jackhammers, construction, workers. Hotel might want to offer […] a redeye kit (earplugs, etc). 3. Work station had a small desk and a chair. Great...except the desk was too low or the chair too high. In other words, the top of the chair was basically the same height as the desktop. **this forced me to work from the horribly uncomfortable "bed valley". The Ugly. 1. They didn't execute my 6:30am wake up call. Fortunately, I was awake...but considering it was the morning of a job interview...that could've been catastrophic. 2. All 3 nights, I was bombarded with cigarette smoke from an adjacent room. Mentioned this to front desk...who said they'd "look into it" and "send somebody up" and that they're a "non-smoking" hotel...the "whatever" vibe I got was disconcerting and disappointing. "Smallest room ever?"
The room barely fit the bed. The photos of the rooms are deceiving. And it is still really expensive. I will stay elsewhere in the future.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Not large - but very good"
Right by Times Square...Rooms are not very large - but clean and very convenient...would stay there again...Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Air Conditioner might have been the loudest I have ever heard. Rattling, terribly noisy, and actually woke us up a few times. Bathroom desperately needed updating. Hotel staff was nice, bar well stocked, and overall a nice place.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I've stayed at better and worse in NYC, but the room was terribly over priced. The attempt of turning what seemed to be a remaining tenement building into a hotel falls short. There were far too many furniture pieces squeezed into the roughly 8'x8' room.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Worst elevators in NYC!"
While the hotel is very conveniently located, the staff is very friendly and very nice. However, there are only two very small and very slow elevators in the hotel. The "definition" of "king or queen" room only refers to the size of the bed and has nothing to do with the size of the room. The "upgrade" to king simply meant a larger bed in the same size […] room as I had previously had with a regular sized bed and the king room actually had a smaller bathroom. I was traveling alone - this "King" room would not have been able to even remotely accommodate two people. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"It wasn't a room it was a box!"
For the price the hotel charge I could find much better hotels with a normal room size... I was lucky I came only for a night with small bag otherwise I wouldn't have a place to my suitcase .... There will not be second time for sure !Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Stayed for one night and everything was great. Valet took care of parking my rental, staff was courteous and accommodated my early check in, the room was clean and the atmosphere was terrific. The location was also perfect.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Everything's great except the elevator is small"
No problem with room.. Only the thing I wasnt crazy about is its an old TV, non hi def and the elevator is small and slow.. Besides that the place is fine.Genuine Expedia guest review
It was an interesting building and they did a nice job with decorating it. Nice bar area. Terrific location just off Times Square. Very dim in both lobby and rooms but I liked it.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Perfect location to Times Square!"
Enjoyed our stay. Concierge Walter was very knowledgeable and helpful during our visit. Room, bathroom and elevators were rather small. Wish there had been more lighting in room and bathroom. It would have been nice to have an ice bucket and ice in the room. Location was perfect for us. At night we enjoyed cocktails in the lounge.Genuine Expedia guest review
The room was far too small. The ability to hang clothes was poor. The bathroom was too crowded. The hotel needs to be clearer in its advertisements that it is intended for one-night stays and that customers should expect very little room to maneuver in their rooms. For the cost of the room, it was quite unsatisfactory.;Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great location for Times Square"
We really liked being half a block off Times Square, just a few steps off 47th. The hotel was very nice, but the room was much smaller than we expected to find given the pics they show (didn't expect a huge room, but the room was small enough to make me feel a little claustrophobic... with the headboard of the bed against one side wall, there was only […] about 1 ft of space between the end of the bed and the other side wall). Given the rate (mostly driven by the location, but still), I would have expected a bit more. Beyond that, I am huge bathroom critic when it comes to my rooms, and our room's (rm 510) shower had very low pressure, and the bathroom lighting was very dim. It was difficult for the two of us to feel comfortable in this room, and I would not recommend this particular room (rm 510) to anyone with more than two people for sure. Although the room was extremely small, I found the decor to be nicely suited for the urban vibe. The bathroom was a good size and the shower was modern. The bed was extremely comfortable. The only true down side about the room was the thin walls and noise that filter through the walls all night. I could clearly hear entire conversations of all who were […] near my room - quite annoying! The hotel faces a small street and provides no views. My room actually faced a wall. But if you came to New York to be near the action, this is the hotel for you as it is only a few steps away from the heart of Times Square. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Nice price, great location for shows."
First trip dedicated to Broadway shows. For this purpose, the location of Night was perfect. Everything else about the area is disgustingly carnival in nature, but what is, is. The room was nice while small. The mini-bar never worked and after we reported it we never heard another word about it. This left us to make sure we had buckets of ice in the […] room, though the staff was more than ready to provide those. The elevators could not keep up with the guest traffic. "Nice Times Square Location"
The room while "tiny" was very comfortable, nice bed, very clean and a wonderful location.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Harassment, theft and ugly rooms"
I am not that hard to please. I regularly stay in NYC for business at boutique hotels that range in the ballpark of 250-350/night. Most of the hotels in that range are pleasant, clean and filled with kind staff. But I had QUITE the opposite experience at the Night Hotel on 47th (not to be confused with the one on 45th which could be different, who knows). […] First, my mother's antique Gucci watch disappeared from my hotel room. Then the restaurant was shut down because the kitchen was undergoing maintenance. The only thing available was tepid, bitter coffee. No apologies were ever offered for this inconvenience. Then, I was literally stalked by their night bellman, who followed me into a nearby market, hit on me several times, and made me incredibly uncomfortable whenever he was present in the lobby by staring at me. Their day bellman wasn't much better. He regularly tried to "push" services like an expensive car to the airport on me, and when I finally rebuffed all of those offers, he abruptly stopped being so nice. Their elevators are slower and even more cramped than most NY elevators. And last but not least, the rooms themselves are awful. Remember the scene in "Big" when Tom Hanks cries at night in the horrible NY fleabag motel? That was my experience upon entering the room for the first time. Tiny, ugly rooms with old carpet, dirty walls and bad light. I will never, ever stay there again. Ever. Stay at your own risk! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Fatima and others at front desk were very friendly and helpful. Very nice hotel. We needed to switch rooms because noise facing the street made difficult to sleep and they promptly accommodated. Connseiur made mistake on shuttle pick up causing a little stress but the front desk promptly corrected and we made it to the airport on time.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel is about a 30 second walk to the discount ticket place in Times Square, close to theaters, lots of places to eat, and all the Broadway happenings. Nice lobby and bar, fast, efficient check-in and out. Tiny room with the only hanger space on the door inside the bathroom would be the only negative (not unlike many others in NY or other big cities). […] Will definitely be back next time I have meetings in the neighborhood. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

I loved how there was a jacuzzi. Very clean. Loved the Asian decor..Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"For this Price, There Should Be Ice"
Most everything was fine, except the hotel had apparently recently disconnected all self-service ice machines on each floor. While there were Mini-Bars in each suite, you were supposed to call room service, or make your way to the bar next door to ask for ice. Not my idea of a perfect stay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Not so comfortable"
The hotel had a cute atmosphere, but there was no cable tv in my hotel room so the tv picture was fussy, the air conditioning wasn't working so it was hot, they window panes are very thin so you can hear all the noises outside. Also, the room is extremely small and really only meant for 1 person.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"great location but poor customer service"
Upon arrival the gentleman at the desk was difficult to deal with. He told us we had the wrong hotel, no record of our reservations, and no affliation with hotels.com. Even after we showed him our confirmation and bank debit record, it took a while for him to tell us that the hotel was fully booked, but he would give us a room for which no one showed […] up. We paid for a queen bed, but were given a full size bed. No price difference refund was offered. The room was clean, but the bathroom was not (shower drain clogged, sink dirty). We were told the bar was open until 4am, but we went in and they said they were closed (at 2am on a Friday night). The location is great and the decor is neat, but customer service was poor. "Great Place...if you just need a shower"
The location of the hotel is great, but that is where it ends. The staff were friendly, but the first thing you notice is that they also use the only 2 elevators in the building increasing the wait time. You navigate the narrow hallways to your room and open the door and think, "Is this a janitor's closet with a bed in it?" If you open up your suitcase […] on the floor, you don't have space to walk around. I've never stayed in a hotel room that small before, and I've traveled on a student's budget to Tokyo. The bathrooms... The water was lukewarm for the first 10 minutes (2 of us showered, but only the second one got decent hot water). No drop the soap jokes, but if you used the racks in the bathroom, they were liable to fall because everything was tilted. The towels were fraying, but got the job done. Fed up with the room, we went down to get a drink at the hotel bar where 5 others were quietly drinking until at 8PM on a Monday night, the DJ comes in and turns up dance music. All but 2 people who were drinking at the bar went outside to finish their drinks even though it was still a bit cold for sitting outside. We went across the street to the Irish Pub though, which was quite nice. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The location of this hotel is excellent, right in Times Square. The room was clean but very, very small. Closet was tiny & bathroom was tiny with pedestal sink with a little glass shelf above the sink. There was no where to put your bathroom items. The only mirror was in the bathroom, so you couldn't do your hair & makeup anywhere else. With two women […] in a room, that is important! The elevators were very tiny & very slow. Overall, if the price was right, I would stay again. A clean room & bathroom are most important, not the size of the room. So if that is important to you, I would go somewhere else. "Terrible hotel in a good location"
Don't be fold by the 4 stars rating and 3.8. It shouldn't get more than 3 stars rating and 2 review Cons: Let me start with my worst experience. While I was sitting in the lobby to use their free wifi because the one I paid for in my room couldn't even play YouTube videos, a rat was running around the couches they have there. I informed two hotel stuff. […] Their reaction was "OH" and they did nothing and just left!! I heard them saying it's from the other day!! The room was small and felt like coffin, it was there standard room. It was a challenge to find a place to fit my Suitcase. You can hear all the unwanted noises from the other room and the housekeeper yelling in the morning. The floor was uneven and bumpy with wholes underneath the carpet next to the bathroom. I think they just covered a moldy floor because it starting to show in the carpet. Mini bar prices are very high. House keeper was lazy and the recipient staff were rude at night. They should try to smile once a while and not give an attitude, especially the two guys. The ladies at noon are so much better. Elevators are slow and annoying. Pros: Location close to subways and time square. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Nice but tiny..."
The location is great. The price was good. The atmosphere in the hotel is very nice and clean. The room and bathrooms are tiny - walking room only. However, who spends much time in the hotel when in NYC? I do recommend it If you're not claustrophobic. :)Genuine Expedia guest review
