"Better than expected"
This hotel is not in Sorrento. It is in a neighboring town that is one train stop away from Sorrento. Other than this, we were very happy with our choice. Even the not-so-convenient location has a big plus side. This is a budget hotel in a nice and quiet neighborhood where there are many high-end villas and nice restaurants. You would like to walk there. […] The hotel hosts were very friendly and helpful. Antonio, the young man at the front desk, was such a joy. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"A Great Family Run Hotel"
Hotel Angelina is a small, friendly, family run hotel. It's proprietors go out of their way to accommodate your every request, from room preferences, to breakfast, to directions, to local eating establishments. The hotel itself is not luxury, nor is the price. It is clean, safe, well located. The breakfast is adequate. Paolo went out of his way to help […] us with any questions we had, about the hotel, or the things to do in the area. In fact, he recommended the family run restaurant down the street, which turned out to be one of the best (and affordable) meals we ate in Italy. In fact we went back a second night, and weren't disappointed. Highly recommended for what it is. It doesn't pretend to be otherwise. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
We loved our stay at B&B Angelina. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The room had a small patio with a view of the orange trees in the front yard. You can also see the ocean and Mt Vesuvius from the rooftop (with a few chairs to sit up there). The breakfast was great with freshly squeezed orange juice, fruit, cereal, pastries, tea, coffee, […] and yogurt. The owners were very helpful in recommending things to do and places to eat. We really enjoyed the restaurant Peppinos, right near the St Agnello train station. We also highly recommend renting a vespa scooter for the day to check out the Amalfi Coast (the owner can tell you the best place to rent from). We felt very safe and at home while staying at B&B Angelina. It was also really nice to have a computer available with free access to the internet in the lobby while we were there. I enjoyed sitting out on their terrace in front of the hotel on the last day in their swinging chair under the orange trees to just relax and enjoy the peace and quiet of the neighborhood. The main tourist section of Sorrento is just one train stop away for more options to eat or go out, but we preferred staying in the St Agnello neighborhood where B&B Angelina is located. I would highly recommend staying at this B&B. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great hotel in a good location"
A really good hotel with easy access to Pompeii and the Amalfi Coast. Our room was clean with a good shower and bathroom and had a lovely view of the pretty orchard the hotel is located in. The hotel is on a quiet road about 2 mins from Sorrento and 30 mins from Pompei on the regular train. The station is a 5 min walk from the hotel. The location of […] S. Agnello is a major plus point as Sorrento town is crowded and overpriced so I would definitely recommend staying in S. Agnello. There are lots of little shops, restaurants and cafes within walking distance of the hotel. The outstanding point of this hotel is the helpfulness of the staff who spoke fluent English and who gave us advice on everything from where to eat to local train, bus and boat times and explained the cheapest options. They really were outstanding! If we go back to this beautiful part of Italy we will definitely stay at this hotel again. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Good value here"
We have been travelling with Expedia world wide for years and have never felt overly compelled to leave a review. But, We thought this place deserved one. It was a great place. Everyone was very helpful & informative. Great breakfast with the best croissants ever! As well a variety of food choices. We stayed four nights. Thanks!Genuine Expedia guest review
"Helpful and friendly owners and staff"
We spent 10 days at Hotel Angelina and had a fantastic time. Paulo speaks really good English and both he and his staff are very friendly and helpful - particularly with maps, directions, train times and advice on nearby restaurants. The room could have done with a lick of paint but this was not a big problem as it was clean and very comfortable. The […] breakfast was good - with orange juice, coffee, cereals, croissants, bread rolls, cheese, ham, jams, fruit, cakes and more. The hotel is only a 10-15 minute walk away from Sant' Agnello train station so it was easy (and cheap) to travel to Pompeii, Vesuvius and Sorrento - the latter where you can take boat trips to Capri and buses along the Amalfi Coast. It only takes around 30 minutes to walk into Sorrento but it's definitely worth considering taking the train on a hot day. We hired a car during our stay but in hindsight is was probably not really necessary - especially when you bear in mind the 'interesting' driving style of the locals! Fantastic experience. Quiet yet very convenient. This family run hotel truly makes you feel at home. Paulo & Antonio were so helpful with directions and suggestions for our Amalfi coast excursions. Even had our laundry delivered from laundromat right to hotel. Breakfast was fantastic and staff were very friendly. Paulo even arranged for a ride with […] his father to the train station on our checkout and served breakfast early just to accommodate us. Thanks so much! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"A great base from which to explore this part of Italy"

The service in Hotel Angelina is first rate: no adapter to charge your iPad or need a plate etc to eat your evening pizza? No problem. In fact nothing is too much trouble for the owners of this hotel. Breakfasts were good value and the waiter was great. The bed was comfortable and the balcony to our room was lovely. Sant Agnello is very convenient for Sorrento, one stop on the Circumvesuviana train (2 minutes) and for the archaeological sites of Villa Poppea/Oplonti, Herculaneum and Pompeii - even a day trip to Naples, with good advice from Paolo, are all reached quickly and cheaply by train. The hotel is also close to the Amalfi Coast, and for the Amalfi drive we recommend AldoLimos who are superb. Sant Agnello itself is a pretty town and worth exploring. We think Angelina is a lovely, friendly, relaxing hotel that is excellent value for money, however, it could do with a bit of updating - our shower had seen better days and needs replacing. Thank you for a lovely time!

Have just returned from a wonderful stay at Hotel Angelina. The location was excellent and the staff couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. We had a lovely room and each morning a nice breakfast. It was just perfect in every way.
"A gem located just besides Sorrento !!!"

My mother and I slept 4 nights at "Hotel Angelina" and our stay was just amazing !!!! We had the room # 306 with balcony and air conditioning. The twin room and bathroom were of good size, both were very clean, comfortable and I liked the good water pressure of the shower ! We never lacked of hot water, the shower was big enough and generally, if we had to return to Sorrento, we would definitely return at this hotel !! It's a quiet place and you don't hear anything at night. During the day, a lot of light is coming in the hotel due to the numerous windows all around, it's just superb ! The manager did everything to make our stay enjoyable and you can see he really takes care of his hotel ! Both inside and outside the building, everything was clean; the yard, the lobby, the common room to take breakfast and so on ! The rooftop and the main terrasse are well equipped to welcome people. The included breakfast is really worth it as well; lots of choice and everything is very good and fresh all the time ! "Hotel Angelina" is located in Sant'Agnello, one train station away from downtown Sorrento (2 minutes by train - or about 25 minutes walking as you like). You can purchase your train tickets right at the station in the morning (in the afternoon the office seems to be closed so you need to cross a little park, go to the other side of the street and buy the tickets - a little more expensive - at the café there). Paolo and his staff were always of good help, very pleasant people to talk to, efficient, always good-mooded and glad to inform us how to go here or there. Ask for good restaurants around, they'll advise you well !! ;-) Really, "Hotel Angelina" is an amazing place and we recommend it !! Thanks to all the team for our amazing stay !!!

Friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff who created a relaxing and enjoyable retreat. Able to see and feel more 'at home' in Sant' Agnello. Paolo gave great recommendations and attractions to see while were stayed there. Being able to walk throughout the town off the beaten path was enjoyable. Close to train station and taxis able to accommodate us to Sorrento. Rooms were clean and reflected the ocean in marine blue colours. Patio was great place to sit and relax with a glass of wine.
"Antonio and Paolo made our stay wonderful!"
Sant'Agnello is an amazing part of Sorrento. After a day in crowded Sorrento Centro we were all thrilled to come back to our oasis. Antonio and Paolo are wonderful hosts and gave us fabulous restaurant recommendations. Breakfast was typical Italian meats and cheeses, fruit and yogurt. It's well located to the train station but, if we'd known how beautiful Sain'Agnello is before our trip, we wouldn't have bothered with Capri or main Sorrento. The only negative I would mention is the mattress on our bed needed to be replaced. The decor is dated but the place is spotlessly clean and quaint.
"We adored this quaint family hotel!"

Hotel Angelina was our base for only four days but we would have loved to stay longer and would have if the room was available. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel so welcome and nothing was a problem. We were so happy to have chosen Sant' Agnello over Sorrento much less crowded and less hectic but with plenty of restaurant choices and all the services we wanted and needed. Paulo and Antonio were so incredibly helpful assisting us with directions, travel options, day trips, scooter hire, restaurant recommendations, absolutely everything. We had room 103 which was decorated in a quaint/kitsch teal and blue somewhat dated but exceptionally clean and very comfortable. Breakfast, whilst basically the same each day, certainly had enough options for us (continental style: bread, pastries, fruit, cereal, yoghurt & fruit, coffee and juice). We travelled to Sorento, Positano, Amalfi and Pompeii using either the train or a scooter we hired, everywhere else we walked (easily). This hotel doesn't have all the whistles and bells but it has amazing staff and a clean wholesome feel to it. We would certainly recommend it and would be delighted to be able to return for a longer stay sometime.
"Excellent, no question!"

Staff were absolutely fantastic. Greeted on arrival, clean and comfortable rooms, relaxing terrace and great location. The breakfast was simple but tasty. It offers much more than we expected for the price we paid. 20 minute walk or 2 minute train into Sorrento. Can't fault it!
"Small and friendly"

We needed somewhere not too expensive in Sant Agnello, for three nights to attend a friends wedding. The reviews for this one were good and we didn't know the area, so we took a chance. So glad we did. It's very small and basic, but clean and cheap, just what we needed. But what made it memorable was the friendliness of the staff. From the minute we got there and Antonio came out to greet us, we felt so welcome. They were all very helpful and couldn't do enough for us. No pool but a lovely terrace to sit and have a coffee after breakfast or a beer before going out. Not a hotel where you'd stay all day, but more of a base to sleep and shower. Exactly what we needed and would recommend to anyone needing the same.
"A wonderful introduction to Italy"

My first 6 nights in Italy were spent at this lovely hotel in Sant'Agnello - one train station from Sorrento. I had a very comfortable ground floor room with a window looking out to orange trees. The manager and his family were very welcoming, helpful and friendly, and of the places I stayed In Italy, Hotel Primavera had the best breakfasts - great variety, very fresh and very good service. A short walk down the narrow Via Cappucina were lovely views of the Bay of Naples, Vesuvius, and beautiful cliffs. You could then continue walking to Sorrento with all its attractions. Don't miss the Museo Correale on this walk. This hotel was a lovely place to orient myself to travelling Italy.
"Paolo the King!"

Paolp, the manager, is the king of customer service! Very welcoming and helpful, particuarly with respect to helping withtravel/touring arrangements. The hotel, itself, is in a brilliant setting. It's a five minute walk away from the town centre (good restaurants and carfes that Paolo can specify) and the train to Sorrento, Pompeii, Napoli, etc. It's also close to the beach. If you feel energetic it's a 25-minute walk to Sorrento or, getting the train, it's a 2-minute ride. Rooms are great, breakfast brilliant. The waiter (whose name I didn't get) was very effecicient and courteous. Underground parking in case you're worried about getting it scratched by leaving on the narrow street. Thanks, also, to Paolo's dad for looking after the car. All in all a great hotel for a very resonable price. I would thoroughly recommend.
