"Decent place but know what neighborhood you're in!"
Great staff. Ladies working the front were exceptional! Like exercise? then take one of the 4th floor rooms. Oh my goodness, what a climb! It certainly is a great warm up for going up the steps to the Castle...haha, that's a wake up call. Be sure to go on up to the monastery for the beer. Excellent. The restaurant was fine. The location is REALLY close […] to the St Charles bridge so be prepared for swarms of tourists and noise. Not so much in the room but anytime you leave the hotel. Very touristy area. I prefer to go visit this type area rather than live in it so beware. I wouldn't stay here again because of the area but the hotel and staff were great. I'd even go say hello if in the area again. "Amazing place in best location in Prague"
Best priced Boutique hotel in Europe. Located by the Charles Bridge in the Little Quarter neighborhood of Prague. Close to everything. Beautifully appointed rooms and spacious, we stayed in room #5 with incredible views of the Charles bridge. Amazingly friendly and super helpful staff. Breakfast included. I will definitely come back to this hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Amazing room. Ask for #5. Wood ceiling, lots of windows, spacious. My only complaint is the the bathroom could be a touch cleaner. Obviously it had been cleaned but there were some spots of mildew in bathroom. Not bad but considering how fantastic the staff is, oh fantastic the location is and how fantastic the room is, it seems like that should be […] just as fantastic. I will definitely stay there again. Everyone there was wonderful. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great location, beautiful room"
We really enjoyed our stay. The hotel had an excellent location by the Charles bridge and the room was very spacious and modern. The breakfast buffet was generous, including delicious pancakes, bagels, and eggs. The staff was very friendly and willing to help arrange taxis and dinner reservations. Would definitely recommend!Genuine Expedia guest review
The best part of this hotel was the room. We stayed on the top floor and it felt more like an apartment then a room. Plus the bathroom was huge. The location is also amazing just steps from the Charles Bridge. The only issue is there is no elevator so it wouldn't be ideal for someone with heavy bags. Otherwise I highly recommend.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
great hotel, excellent location next to charles bridge, but no noise at night. plenty of nice restaurants and bars close by. very friendly and helpful reception staff. room very clean. transfer from airport to hotel pre arranged with the hotel which all went very smoothly. no hassle or stress. only slight negative is that no air con so room quite warm […] but did have a large free standing fan. no lift so not recommended if you can't climb stairs. for my partner and i it was perfect. Great location, just steps from the Charles bridge. We stayed on the very top floor which was a bit of a hike especially with big suitcases. The room was very unique and romantic, but the air conditioner was a bit loud. Staff were very friendly. We would definitely stay here again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Better than 5 out of 5"
Even though I was there during the May-June floods, they could not dampen the warmth of the reception at the Domus Balthasar. Wonderful location, great room, and all the staff so welcoming and helpful.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Excellant service, perfect location"
This hotel is a hidden treasure. From the outside you wouldnt know how luxurious and comfortable this hotel is. Rooms are huge and have everything you need. Staff are helpful and friendly with good English. Location is perfect, Petrin Hill and Prague Castle only a 5 minute walk and Charles's Bridge right on the doorstep. Highly recommend for family […] getaway, business stay or group of friends. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Fantastic room. Amazing value."
On first impressions we weren't sure. A large door on the street leads to a narrow corridor and a small reception area but the room was absolutely gorgeous and the people were great. Beautiful big room, really stylish and comfortable with a view of the Charles Bridge. Lovely bathroom. We really really enjoyed our stay and wished we could stay longer. […] Will def go back. Things that didn't bother us but might bother others. There isn't a lift and the stairs are steep. Charles Bridge area can be noisy at night. No aircon although there is a fan..

Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

Domus Balthasar is a great hotel, ideally located close to the Charles Bridge but still very quiet. Our room was really big with a very comfortable bed. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast is served in the Bohemian cafe, accessible from the hotel. The breakfast is good, especially the blueberry pancakes.

This property is a prime example of why I use Tripadvisor as the reviews on this site led me to this wonderful little hotel. The proximity to the Charles Bridge (150 feet) is second to none. Rooms are spacious and the attached restaurant is everything you need. This experience will live in our travel memories for quite some time. I'm almost reticent to write a review as you want to keep an experience this good to yourself. Perfect!!
"a fabulous hotel in the heart of the fabulous Prague"

The hotel is located in a historic building right at the foot of the Charles bridge. The location is perfect. There is no Elevator in the hotel, but it is notified on the website. There is a wooden staircase, which supports the general atmosphere of medieval Prague. We lived in the attic room right under the roof. The room is a complete delight. The size is quite a lot, spacious inside. There are several windows that look out over the rooftops of the nearby medieval buildings and cathedrals. Through the window can be selected directly on the roof, and then you can feel the medieval resident. The room has everything for a comfortable life. In the bathroom above the bath there was a funny roof window. In room free wifi, the signal is excellent. The service was good, on the night we even put little chocolates on the pillow ))) My dream is to return to this hotel again, only in such places you can fully feel the atmosphere of the city. Strongly recommend the hotel to visit.

A large and very nice room with large bath and shower. Quiet. Luxurious. We were in the attic room at the back. (A lot of stais) The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is right by the Charles bridge and close to castle.
"Nice Hotel on the Castle Side just across the Charles Bridge"
10/17/14 PaulLuehrmann Eindhoven, The Netherlands
If you want to be in the middle of things on the castle side of the Charles Bridge, this is the place. Walk out the main entrance and turn right. The Charles Bridge is right there. Left and you are point towards the castle. There are a multitude of shops and restaurants and bars within a short distance. Yet the rooms are sound proofed and quiet. Breakfast is in a coffeeshop attached to this small hotel. Staff is friendly and helpful. Rooms were ample, clean, nicely decorated and comfy. Stay here but not in the heat of summer, since there are fans but no A/C. Overall, a good value and convenient hotel. I would stay here again.

Such a lovely hotel... Rooms very clean and spacious with personality. I loved the atmosphere. The girls at the reception were very helpful and kind. Definitely will be going back as we visit a lot. I recommend this little hotel for a great stay.

Great location. Convenient to major sites and easy to walk around the city. I also felt safe in the area at night when walking back late after a concert. Room was very spacious with nice amenities...a good value. Zuzana at the front desk was especially helpful in researching and providing recommendations for restaurants and activities I asked about. The only slight negative was that given my room had no air conditioning (which I was fine with), there was street noise with the window open. Fortunately I sleep soundly. Otherwise a very comfortable, spacious room with breakfast included at a good price. I would stay here again.

Went there end of August with my parents , we booked 2 rooms for 94€ per room per night without breakfast. As soon as you are entering the room you understand that you amde the good choice. The rooms are huge, both rooms wre on the corner of the street and had a super view on The Charles Bridge. This is a small hotel with only 8 rooms which makes the stay very peaceful. It's located in historical building which means no lift and a lot of stairs. No A/C in the room just fan, sleeping quality was excellent, even if our rooms were on the street side on a Saturday evening, the noise level was absolutely acceptable. The bathroom was also very big with tube and shower, and wc in the bathroo. Reception desk staff (Zuzana) was very nice and helpful. We came by car, the hotel was proposing two parking options, I chose the nearest one with voiturier service for around 30€ per night, which is acceptable for Prag. The hotel location is very convenient , Mala Strana and the castle on one side and the town center (ca 20min by foot) on the other side. Definitely an excellent choice for s stay in Prag !
"Great Room, Great location!"
09/01/14 chrisinrochester rochester, mn
Best of both worlds....modern design, super comfortable room with AC(!), coupled with an amazing location right in the heart of Prague. Our room was huge, super comfortable king (2 twins combined) with a pull out bed for the cub. Our room faced a side street so we avoided the noise of mostecka and after staying 4 nights in another place overlooking mostecka, we slept like logs. bathroom was beautiful, huge, with a great big tub. Only downside was 3 flights of narrow stairs with luggage, but you get used to that in europe. (pack light). Service was friendly and helpful. Breakfast is provided by the cute little bagel bakery/coffee shop that is run by a very friendly young guy. EU 150 for high season triple was not cheap, but this place was well worth it.
"Lovely hotel in a great location"
08/31/14 Si_and_J Yorkshire
This hotel is very close to Charles Bridge, which makes it very central to the main sites of Prague. Walk one way uphill to the castle and cathedral, walk the other across the bridge to the old town square. As soon as you step out of the hotel you are on a street with entertainers, cafes and restaurants, so it really is the perfect location. Our room was really smart and was huge! It had several large windows looking out onto the streets below. Large bathroom too with bath and separate shower. Bed was so comfortable. Breakfast has a good choice in the bagel café next door - you just walk through the adjoining door, no need to walk outside. There's a small buffet table that contains cereal, cookies, ham, cheeses, bagels, toaster, juice etc., and you can choose from a hot food menu that's a bit smaller than the regular paying menu, but still contains choices of blueberry pancakes (which were fantastic!), eggs and bacon etc. Recommend using the taxi service provided by Milan. It was reasonably priced, and Milan is very friendly and welcoming, and was happy to share his knowledge of the town and places to eat and drink. He was even waiting on the platform to collect us from the train station - great service.
