"Pleasant Stay in Venice"
Had a very pleasant stay at Locanda Aquavita. They were very helpful with directions, arrival instructions, etc. The room was nice and clean and had good AC and Wifi. The walk from the closest canal bus stop was a little longer than expected, but Venice is small so really everything is convenient (I would say it was a 10 minute walk).Genuine Hotels.com guest review
This accommodation was clean and air conditioned which is much needed in July!! The service was excellent and so friendly!! We are a family of 4 and were comfy!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Very satisfied with the hotel. The room had a beautiful view and was very clean. Staff were very friendly and made it easy and relaxing to come and go as we pleased. The hotel is in a pleasant and quiet area close to the water bus services. Highly recommended.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Highly recommended place to stay"
I spent a lot of time researching where to stay on our trip to Venice. I was certain I wanted to stay in venice itself and not in/on The Mestre and I wanted where we stayed to be romantic and impressive if possible. My budget was reasonable, but I didn't want to spend the earth for what was a brief stay. Sufficient to say the Locanda Acquavita ticked […] all the boxes. I only booked due to reviews I'd read as no official rating - but I'm glad I did - and I'm writing a review to ensure others use this excellent little B&B for their stay! It's located to the north east of cannerggio and is about 10mins walk from the rialto bridge - and a further 10 mins or so from Piazza San Marco. Admittedly the 'street' that it's down is not the best, but luckily the room easily made up for it. We had room 5 which was spacious, had a huge bed, a quaint wardrobe and chaise-lounge. room was kinda traditional venetian red. Bathroom (not shared) was clean, pleasant with hairdryer, bidet, toilet, sink and a shower. Bedroom had 2 large windows which could be opened to provide lovely views of the canal the building was adjacent to. Breakfast is served in the room as there is no dinning area, breakfast was hot drink, toast and breads etc. Great place to stay and most importantly, one I would easily use again if I returned to Venice. I recommend this place wholeheartedly! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Tolle Lage, grosses Zimmer, freundliche GastgeberGenuine Hotels.com guest review

Gracias.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Fin beliggenhed i roligt "autentisk" kvarter, med gode værelser.

"Fantastic location and great rooms"
This place is the perfect way to experience Venice. We stayed for two nights in a big room on first floor with king size bed and a sofa bed so 4 people could sleep here. We spend hours sitting in the windows watching the canal and we had our breakfast in front of the open window so we could here the boats sailing by. The bathroom is modern and everything is very clean. Lots of light in the room and the AC works perfectly. And the guesthouse is situated in a calm part of Venice but it only takes 5 minutes to all the tourist areas. You can easily walk from the train station.
"Comfortable B&B, Great Location"
06/23/14 Kevin W
We received a warm welcome from Adina when we arrived at Locanda Acquavita. The B&B was easy to find from the St. Lucia train station with the instructions and map that they emailed us the week before our arrival. Adina was very kind and helpful. She provided excellent directions to get around the city and to the other islands of Venice. The breakfast was served to our room at our preferred time and included toasted bread, croissants, cheese, yogurt, etc. It was more than enough to keep us full until lunchtime. We stayed in the room with gold bed comforters and white walls on the first floor. It is a clean and spacious room with a king-sized bed and has an adjacent room with 2 twin-sized beds, perfect for a family of four. We had no problems with the air conditioning during the summer, and we felt perfectly safe walking around the area late at night. I highly recommend Locanda Acquavita. It was a nice B&B with a convenient location (about a 15-min walk to St. Mark's Square).
"Great location...and cosy."
06/14/14 Gary B Mexborough
This small B&B is typically Venitian. We had a small room (number 2, right off reception). It had a large bed, good storage space and a very large mirror that helped create the effect that the room was larger. The bathroom was tiny with no shower cubicle. The shower head and hose hung from the wall near the toilet and at first we thought this would be a major problem. However we soon got used to the limited space and with the temperature in Venice approaching 40 degrees we managed 3 or 4 showers daily with no real issues. The location is perfect, a small sidestreet away from the bustle of the centre but close enough to a number of decent restuarants. Breakfast is served in your room, a tray laden with coffee, juice, croissants, yoghurts and cakes-very nice! You will receive a warm welcome and I am sure you will enjoy your stay here.

It is a lovely small hotel, only five rooms, very well located and easy to get to from the vaporetto. The room was comfortable, spacious, with two big windows overlooking the canal. It could get a little noisy but actually not a busy canal or street at all. There are good restaurants near by, and the breakfast in bed is priceless. A huge tray with coffee (which you will select on the day of your arrival) juice, toast, pastries, youghurt, cookies. We could never finish the whole thing! Perfect if you are planning on staying in bed a little longer after breakfast! It made our stay in Venice even more special.
"Inappropriate more than economy"
03/03/14 Simone F Alessandria, Italy
My partner & I made our reservation of the economy room via booking.com. On this site the exact description is the following: "Bright, airy rooms at Locanda Acquavita are beautifully decorated in a typical Venetian style and come with modern comforts like satellite television. They overlook the characteristic streets and canals below". Well, THIS IS NOT COMPLETELY TRUE. We were given room #2 (called San Francesco - St Francis), at ground floor, the "budget" accommodation: the room is indeed a small place under the staircase (with a big mirror on the ceiling in the attempt of resulting more open and spacious at first sight, but it recalls me of some motels instead). It's neither bright nor airy, having a single window - that you'd rather not to open if you don't want to hear noises from the close Sottoportego of Calle Volti or the next canal (Rio dei Gesuiti) - and the rear entrance (which is obviously blocked). It also has a very tiny tv, maybe 14", which is not satellite, but, hey, we didn't travel to Venice to watch tv. What made us really upset is the so-called "en-suite bathroom": a 1 m x 1 m tiny train wc with no shower plate. Pay attention to put all the provided towels, toilet paper and personal beauty items outside the "bathroom" unless you want to wash 'em all when having a shower (that will leave your floor completely wet, though). Nothing we can say about AC because we didn't need it in Feb, but the room seems to be not so fresh (because of the steam generated by a warm shower) and the AC split not so up-to-date.Speaking of breakfast, we can state it's OK in quantity, considering Italian standards, and a bit poor in quality (unless you love packed pastries and budget yogurts). As to the communication side, we have mixed feelings: we had a frank and kind conversation with Adina, the B&B manager, who is very gentle and polite, in order to show and explain our disappointment about the "bathroom" case and possibly upgrade our room, but we were able to speak to her only when checking out, because the B&B has just a part-time reception and the day following our arrival was her day off from work. Looking back at our stay, we don't feel like recommending Locanda Acquavita: you can afford a better accommodation in town for the same price, even if I guess our opinion could've been different if we'd stayed in one of the rooms at first floor (# 3 - 4 - 5).
"quite and good location"
09/27/13 Clubfloorplease Sydney, Australia
Finding an available and reasonably accommodation in Venice was very difficult. This Locanda has a very convenient location as it is a short walk from the Fondamento Nove vaporetti and unlike the rest of Venice, it is actually located in a quiet street. This was good as we found Venice in a tourist chaos. Adina was there to greet us. A big thank you to her for her helpful attitude and friendliness as well as all the staff. Our room was the Torcello. It was clean and everything on working order. Breakfats is brought to your room each morning at the nominated time of the guests.
"Tatty and disappointing."
09/14/13 TheTenThree London
We were very disappointed with this hotel. We had room 1 (San Andrea) on the ground floor, which contains 2 sleeping areas with a bathroom in between. Ideal for 2 adults and a child we thought. However, we found numerous problems with the room: e.g. tatty and broken furniture, and an air conditioning unit that leaked water onto the bed below. The bathroom was tiny (anyone above average size will struggle to use the shower comfortably), and a small pool of water would occasionally appear on the bathroom floor. The shower doors kept coming off their rail every time they got knocked accidently while showering. No kettle was provided (though we were given one when we asked). The room is said to have a view of a canal bridge - however, this is only visible if you stand up to look out (the windows are high up), and even then the view is minimal. One of the reasons we booked this room was because of the views that were mentioned on the website. Breakfast is served in your room, which would be fine except for the fact that there is only one small (and wobbly) table on which to put it. We thus had to sit on the edge of the bed whilst balancing plates and cups in order to eat. The breakfast itself was poor - biscuits, crackers, brioches still in their plastic wrappers etc. All in all the worse breakfast we have ever had on a holiday! There are no staff on site except 8am to 1pm, which means that if you need to contact someone you need a mobile phone, and even then it is difficult as the person we spoke to had limited English. To be fair, the location of the hotel is convenient, and the staff on duty in the mornings were helpful but they had to work within the resources provided. Overall, we were not impressed at all. There are a lot of B&Bs/hotels in Venice, and I am sure there are better ones available at a similar price (or less).
"Perfect spot in Venice- value for money!"
Excellent hotel in Venice, when we arrived we were met by Adina, very friendly lady, she showed us maps and gave handy tips about getting around Venice! The room was clean and spacious with a view of the canal outside! Location was perfect, 5min walk to main areas but away from the hustle and bustle! Restaurants and bars in this area are more local that tourist and are a little cheaper! Would definitely recommend this for a stay in Venice- very good value as hotels in Venice are expensive!
"A quieter area"
08/17/13 Patricia C Leeds, United Kingdom
This hotel was in a quiet part of Venice, but still close enough to the shops, restaurants, etc. and to the waterbus. The hotel itself was 'olde worlde' Venice, large bedrooms, 4 poster bed, lovely painted wardrobes and a modern shower/bathroom. Breakfast was brought on a tray to our room and was a continental breakfast. We had a key to the hotel, so could come and go as we pleased. The hotel was on the canal, but the boats were very quiet, you could just hear the swish of the water as they passed. A lovely hotel and a very friendly English speaking receptionist.

This is a great location. Near the boat from airport. Walk to everywhere. Nice and quiet. Canal lapping on wall outside. Very real experience in Rome.
