I stayed 3 nights in November 2012 & enjoyed it very much. The view from my room of the sea with (luckily) a full moon over it was enchanting! It was an easy walk to the sites & shopping in Acireale & not a bad walk to the train station (I was backpacking). The lights above the mirror in my bathroom didn't work & they couldn't get them working so they brought me a standing lamp that showed me WAY too much!! I thought that was pretty funny! The staff were awesome in the hotel & in the restaurant. I would have preferred more food options in the restaurant though. Overall, I had a very enjoyable stay at Santa Caterina!

Loved the stay in this hotel. Very friendly staff. Room was very clean and comfortable. Views from my balcony was to die for. Breakfast buffet can improve, other than that had a great time.

The room was charming with old world furnishings, and the hotel overall was wonderful. We travelled on the shoulder season, and they upgraded our room to an ocean view at no charge, which was lovely. There are likely other hotels a bit closer to all the action, but this was an easy walk, and the grounds were very pretty. We were greeted at our car by a bellhop who whisked our luggage away, and it's a good thing, as there was a lovely winding staircase through gardens to get to reception. Breakfast was wonderful, and the staff was extremely helpful. We only planned one night in Taormina and wished we'd planned more. We hope to return to Sicily and spend more time here.

Thanks to a wonderful staff, Olga, Ajith and Mary, we felt like we were with long time friends. The room was a jr suite and great with a great view. Short walk to town center and good suggestions for eating in the area. They had a great breakfast, snacks including delicious soup mid day and a lovely terrace with great open and covered space to see Mt Etna adn the sea. We will return

Villa Angela is close to Saraceno Castle, Greek Theatre, and Lido Mazzarò. Also nearby are Badia Vecchia and Taormina Archaeological Museum.

I loved hotel Villa Angela. Too bad we could only stay one night in Taormina. Staff at the hotel were extremely friendly all the time. Rooms are beautiful... with a great balcony with an amazing view over the sea and the volcano Etna. The hotel is not in the centre of the town so they provide a shuttle about every hour to go to there and come back. This is a beautiful hotel, situauted up above the town. The views are amazing of the sea and mount Etna. The staff could not have been nicer and the food there was great.

This is a lovely hotel perched on the hillside just on the outshirts of Taormina with incredible views accross to Mount Etna and the sea. The breakfast room also has the same beautiful views and the breakfast is reasonable - certainly by Italian standards. This is out third visit to Taormina and this was by far the best location - we stayed three nights, […] left the car in the free car park on top of the hotel and used the hotel bus to pop into town - or you could walk down an interesting path which took about 25 minutes or so. The only down side was that things, especially eating out is very expensive in Taormina - especially compared to the rest of Sicily and Southern Italy. Read more
