"Excellent place for a relaxing trip"
12/26/13 federico_bk roma
I suggest this impressive place for its position, quality, availability and kindness of the staff. Just in the middle of the "Città Eterna", it allowed us to appreciate every historical building in a few steps. The comfort of the rooms and the cleaness of the bathrooms were really at an high standard level.
"AVOID AT ALL COST...DON'T STAY HERE....MORE LIKE A HOSTILE"

For starters, we were greeted with overflowing garbage in the apartment from the previous guests, which included feminine hygiene products in the kitchen trash!...Disgusting. Makes me wonder what else they did not clean. Made repeated calls to the manager because the internet in the apartment did not work. My calls went UN-anserwed. Lack of internet was a major inconvenience and had to find internet cafes to buy tickets, check travel arrangements, and check-in to flights. Bring your own soap and tissue, neither were supplied in the apartment. The pull out sofa mattress is paper thin and only fit for a child to sleep on. If you have the mis-fortune of getting the upper most apartment, heed the warnings about how many stairs. It is the equivalent of being on the 6th floor! It was absolutely exhausting lugging baggage up the stairs. In the evening when we returned from touring the city, we were greeted by over filled trash cans at the front door from the adjacent restaurant! The only redeeming quality about this place is the location. The Navona Plaza is literally steps from the front door, there are bus lines right outside, shops and restaurants are right there. We know several families that are traveling to Rome in the next several months, we are not able to recommend the Casa Navono. This is more like a hostile in quality and responsiveness.
"Downhill, don't stay here"

I have stayed at these apartments 3 times and in the 5 years since my last stay the place has gone downhill. The apartments are crusty, rundown. The shower last less than 10 minutes with the drain filling up with water at your feet. Disgusting. The bed was so hard I attempted to sleep on the sofa bed. However the sheets were used and where "stained". If you get my drift. On top of the hour it took to check in, I will never be returning.
"Things were stolen in our luggage!!"

The apartment is spacious and centrally located. However, the hot water only last 10 minutes (barely enough for two people to take a 5 minute shower) and it took all day to heat it up again. Also, the apartment manager said that we need to check out by 10 am but we could store our luggage at the store around the corner. Turned out they went through our luggage and store a few things!!! BE AWARE!
"a gem in the centre of Rome"

The B&B Casa Navona is a perfect gateway in the centre of Rome. Very close to EVERYTHING and quiet at the same time. The B&B has got wifi and a small kitchen for those who want to cook....but want to do that when the best restaurant of Rome are around the corner. don't miss it!
"casa navona is the perfect place to stay"

The location couldn't be better. The apartment was beautiful with high roman ceilings and wonderful light. It was furnished in a restrained tasteful way with everything we needed for a comfortable stay.

Booked this based on other reviews and very glad that we did. The location is spot on! You can walk to all the major sites including the Colosseum which is probably the furthest (25-30 mins). Many other sites are no more than 15 mins away. The apartment itself is compact but was clean and for a couple of nights the kids were fine on the sofa beds in the lounge and kitchen is fine for basics of breakfast and tea/coffee. As for places to eat there are so many in Rome but the eaiest is to head in to Piazza Navona which is 30 secs from the front door where there must be 30 or so places to choose from! The only downside which they make clear is the very narrow and steep staircase leading to the apartments. If you have any mobility issues, are travelling with small children (buggies etc) or unfeasibly large baggage then think twice before booking as the stairs will be an issue for you. Apart from that I would most definately recommend this a an indeal central location to explore Rome for a few days.
"Great for youngsters and younger famillies"

Casa Navona offers a great accommodation. Rooms are clean and tidy once when you arrive. Marvelous view to Piazaa Navona, one of the most beautiful Rome squares. You won't see much of a staff since they are there just to welcome you and give you the key. I wouldn't recommend it for people who have spine problems or elderly since stairs are really steep and there is no elevator. Rooms are really quite and beds are quite comfortable. I hope you enjoy Rome as much as we did!
"The location makes it all"

The Piazza Navona is in my mind the best Piazza in Rome. You are at a 15 second walk of there. The stair are a little dangerous but the apartment is confortable with all you need in it. Anyway if you are in Rome and you spend most of the day IN the apartment, you have the problem, not the apartment. So as a place to sleep, rest, have breakfast in Rome, a choice that you cannot regret. Wi-fi available for a few dollars...not so obvious in Italy.
"Spacious & great location"

We loved having this spacious apartment for our time in Rome. It made us feel like locals since we never ran into any other tourists during our stay there. We were in Casa Navona 2 on the top floor. It had a nice living room to unwind in, bedroom and small kitchen - typical for a Rome apartment. The location was perfect - central to all the sights but no crazy tourist madness like Trevi. Also, Gelateria del Teatro was nearby and that was the best gelato we had in Italy. We went there every night before retiring. Lots of great restaurants in the area. We would definitely stay there again.
