The location is perfect, right across the street from the Valporetto (the water bus). Eugenio, the concierge is the best I have experienced in any hotel in any country. He went out of his way to make our stay wonderful. Coffee and tea any time of day, letting me use the hotel computer (several times), arranging a free motorboat ride to the glass works in Murano,marking a map with the number of the valporetto to take (including the times for when we had to leave early to get to the airport, and just being one of the nicest people I have ever met! The room was spacious and immaculate with three windows, one overlooking the Grand Canal. The bathroom was spotless and well lit, even had a towel warmer for the towels, the heating control was well appreciated since it snowed the day we arrived! With the Valporetto station just across the street it is easy to get anywhere in Venice. About 20 minutes from the bus station at Pont Roma on the 5.1 to the hotel. Or take the line 1 and cruise down the Grand Canal on the way to the hotel. I love Lido since one doesn't have to cross bridges or walk a long way to the hotel and there are many restaurant choices within a 2 block area.

Bij aankomst een vriendelijk en behulpzaam ontvangst aan de receptie. Uitleg over het reizen en highlights v venezie. Kamers netjes schoon en sfeervol, maar zonder extra comfort. Er is helaas geen mogelijkheid om iets te bestellen want er is geen keuken. Een waterkoker op de kamer zou daarom geen overbodige luxe zijn geweest. Lekkere bedden en warme […] douche en de kamer is niet koud. Lido is een fijne plek om te blijven, als je een reispaspartout hebt. Weg van de drukte en in een chique wijk, waar je ook iets lekkers kunt eten, drinken, borrelen of ontbijt/brunchen en zelfs winkelen. Hotellet ligger mitt på ön Lido utanför Venedig. Kort promenad till stranden på ena sidan och båtar till Venedig på andra. Ägarinnan talade mkt begränsad engelska men det vägdes upp av gästfriheten! Bra rum med ac.

Vaikka olikin tullut ongelmia kylpyhuoneen putkien kanssa juuri ennen saapumistamme, hotellin omistaja oli järjestänyt huoneen sisar-hotellista. Valitettavasti tästä ei soitettu kännyyn vaan saimme tiedon paikan päällä (oli sattunut samana päivänä). Saimme kuitenkin huoneen seuraavana päivänä (isomman kun vapautui) joka oli erittäin kiva, iso kylppäri […] ja todella puhdas. Aamiainen puutarhassa toi kivan fiiliksen. Pittoreskia. 20min lauttamatkan päässä lähimmästä Venetsian pysäkistä, ja ehkä 60 min verran rautatieasemalta. Lido on hyvin rauhallinen ja ihanat hiekkarannat vain muutaman korttelin päässä Villa Angelicasta. Read more

L'hôtel est situé sur Lido, donc pas dans Venise même, mais avec les "vaporetti", ça va très vite, et ça permet d'être au calme aussi... Seul bémol : le petit déjeuner qui n'est pas génial. Sinon, c'est une grande maison gérée par un couple d'hôtes qui proposent quelques chambres. Séjour en autonomie (on garde ses clés, ce qui permet d'aller et venir […] quand on veut), mi-hôtel, mi-chambre d'hôte. Une très bonne expérience. ps : le prix est bas, et permet d'investir dans une carte à la semaine pour les bateaux, très pratique pour aller visiter les autres îles autour. Read more
