The hotel was in a central location and very near the Termeni train station. The hotel pointed us to several good resturants that where just a few blocks away. Enjoyed the stay and we were able to see much of Rome in just a few days before we left for our cruise. I would consider this hotel again when we retirn to Rome.

we loved it and missed it as we continued our trip and stayed in other hotels. The hotel staff: Marina, Daniel, and Alba were super friendly and very helpful at all hours of the day. Hotel is 4-5 blocks away from the train station and all buses to all sights.

This hotel is within a 5/10 minute walk from Rome’s main train station. The budget airport transfer buses go here and so for the ‘city break’ traveller this is good news. The hotel is also only a 3-5 minute walk from the nearest underground station Vittoreo Emanuele which is well located for other stations that are near to the main attractions. The […] coliseum is around a 30 minute walk as were Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps etc. The subway journey to the key stations is two or three stops and perhaps five stops for the Vatican. Rome is a small city and nowhere seemed to be that far. The staff were excellent and are the making of this establishment. I cannot recall such a great welcome to any hotel. Our room was clean and functional. Just the job for a weekend break. Breakfast was a buffet comprising of yogurts, fruit (not fresh – tinned peaches, for example), croissants, toast, cakes, jam, ham, tarts, cheese etc. There were corn flakes but the cereals were limited. The best part of breakfast was the hand made cappuccino. It was superb. At night the local area may appear to be a little run down but we had no incidents and did not hear of any issues and felt safe enough. The rooms are great. Very clean and have everything you need. The staff is very helpful and nice. We stayed there one night before our flight back home and we looked for an hotel close to trimini but its a bit far by foot and not easy with all the bags. Besides that its a lovley hotel.

Really enjoyed our 2nd stay at Carraciolo. Staff are incredibly helpful, breakfast is decent, room was huge with great aircon and a beautiful bathroom. One slight drawback is location, whilst it is very convenient for the termini train station the area is, unfortunately, not the best. I find that in most cities the train station area tends to a little […] unsavoury and that is the case here with a lot of street sellers by day and not the nicest area to walk after dark. However, public transport access is easy from the hotel with good bus and metro links (check the metro re-furbishment schedule in Rome before your trip though, a lot of lines and stations currently closed!) and you can walk to the colliseum in 15-20mins. We got the hotel based on our priority which was LOCATION - we wanted to be near the stations so that we do not have to lug our luggage far. Distance to the hotel was walkable but it is quite a walk. When we first arrived, we were not happy at all about the surrounding neighborhood, it was in a very sketchy area, which is pretty common around the train station. The staff was very nice and accommodating, which was good because our first room was not acceptable, and they moved us to a better one. Free wifi is nice! It is a 5 + min walk to the train, […] and 30 to the colosseum, but we did not feel to safe walking back to the hotel from Rome, I suggest a cab. Comfortable clean room with very comfortable bed. Ideal for our two nights but wouldn't want to stay longer as would want a better area. Felt it was quite a long way from main square near station. This was worsened by the fact that my wife had injured her leg before arrival so had problems walking. Breakfast was fine. Bathroom floor was not finished […] properly in doorway so extremely sharp edge on floor tiles meant I stubbed my toes badly - very painful! For what we paid, and in Rome too, it was reasonable. Cannot really fault the hotel or our room. It was well kept, only problem was that the shower door fell off if you pulled it too far but it didn't bother us too much. Hotel is well situated to get to and from the Termini and the trains to and from the airport. Colourful local area, not too touristy. At most of hotels, staffs are not kind to Asian guests, except here, Hotel Caracciolo. I was sooooo surprised at their kindness despite of my unskilled English. They always tried to make me feel good with smile and friendly look. Facilities were also better than any other accomodations ever I'd been in Italy. Hotellet mere end levede op til vores forventninger. Perfekt service. Flotte værelser, der dagligt blev toprengjort. Man lagde vægt på, at hotellet var et lille, familiedrevet hotel, og atmosfæren var også hjemlig og hyggelig. Central beliggenhed.

Anbefaler gjerne dette hotellet til alle som er innom Roma. Vi ble overrasket over rommene - de var både større og penere enn vi trodde og med minibar som også kunne benyttes til eget vann etc. Forholdsvis nye bad. Mye for pengene. Det ene lille minus var frokosten. Den var fra 7-9 og de ryddet bort alt fem minutter over ni...Så vær tidlig ute om du […] skal ha frokost! Hotellet ligger ikke i Romas beste strøk, men ikke værre enn at man kan gå på kvelden. Helpful staff, good bathroom, great location ( even though the guide i brought said it was one of the worst areas of the city when it comes to safety) and a good working aircondition was the main reason id say this was the perfect hotel for me. I wanted a good starting point for exploring rome and found i could easily reach the major sites from here. […] The one that took the longest was the walk down to trastavere near the island in the river was about an hour.
