Our stay at Cimatori was perfect. Much better than staying at a hotel. It was extremely clean and the room was very large. We will certainly be staying again. The breakfast was perfect as were the staff. Very friendly and helpful. It felt like my own little apartment right in the center of Florence. You can walk to all the major spots in Florence and this neighborhood is very safe. There is no lift so be prepared to carry your luggage up one or two floors.
"Homely B&B with a fantastic location"
This place is really made by its location, you couldn't be in a better location! You are on the doorstep of all of the main sites in Florence. The B&B is located down a side street not far from the Duomo, blink and you'll miss it as it just looks like an ordinary door. The B&B is ran by Valeria who is very friendly and chatty. She was very helpful and explained lots of places to visit on the map. We had a double en suite on the first floor but our bathroom was separate but not shared. We didn't mind this but i don't think it was clear on our booking instructions that this would be the case. Next to our room was a small kitchen area with free tea and coffee facilities and a place to sit if you purchased your own food. We really liked this. We had a small problem with our room on arrival and Domenico dealt with it very well and was very apologetic, we are reasonable and understand mistakes happen but we were very pleased by their reaction to our complaint. Breakfast, as many have said, there isn't a great deal of choice. But it is so refreshing to stay in such a small establishment where everyone sits together at breakfast. We really enjoyed chatting and getting to know other guests over breakfast, it's also helpful to get other's opinions on places to visit! This place had a real homely feel and we really enjoyed our 4 night stay.

Perfect place to start everything you want to do in Florence. We loved the room. Wifi was god. We would have no problem visiting this lovely b&b again. They even arranged for parking who then dropped us at the door. Great service

Very nice place - recently updated. Close to everything in Florence - no need to take any taxis or buses. Rooms were great - bathrooms new. Breakfast delicious and they made us a cappuccino every morning.
"Great little B&B in central Florence"

The top selling point for Cimatori B&B in my view is its location - it's in a fantastic spot that's only a few minutes' walk from many of the attractions in central Florence. For us, it meant that we got to enjoy the city at night (when it is very atmospheric), and also meant that we could easily duck in to get changed to visit the Duomo, or as it turned out, seek refuge from a freak hail storm! We stayed for two nights in the blue room, which is on the first floor and has a separate private bathroom across the hallway. We did this to save a bit of money and it was fine for our needs. Our floor also had a mini kitchenette with access to a fridge, kettle, toaster and crockery and cutlery, which we found very useful (particularly as one of the mornings we needed to be out and about before breakfast started). Our room was quiet and clean, and tastefully decorated. When we did have breakfast we found that it had a decent variety for a continental breakfast in Italy. We didn't have any trouble getting access to our keys outside of reception hours - the restaurant across the lane had a little envelope for us with a welcome letter and some instructions. If you are going to be arriving out of hours just make sure you send an email to let them know. The B&B owner was friendly and made us feel welcome. I would recommend Cimatori to anyone looking for a comfortable and central stay in Florence that won't break the budget.
"Perfect central location"

We stayed here for four nights over a weekend and really enjoyed ourselves. Like others have mentioned we arrived after 16:00 to find no-one on the premises to let us in. Luckily the number provided on the door was answered and we were able to retrieve our keys from the restaurant opposite. Better communication from the hotel is indeed needed so that visitors are aware of this. Our stay was a pleasant one, the room was spacious and the WI-FI worked flawlessly. Our bathroom was not en suite and in hindsight we wouldn’t do that again, not the fault of the hotel, just our personal preference. Breakfast was basic and often time we would arrive to find that they had run out of the basic foodstuffs and condiments. However, this did not detract from our stay and we were very happy there. The staff were helpful and knowledgeable about the local sights to see, taxis, buses etc. The location is the selling point, as you exit the hotel you are within minutes from all the major sights. Perfect. Would we stay here again? Probably, with an en suite room and skipping the breakfast option.
"Ideal base for exploring Florence."

Excellent location in heart of Florence with all main attractions only a few minutes away. Two excellent restaurants right in front of the property but then there's no shortage of these nearby too. Room was very clean, bathroom small but adequate for our 6 night stay. Our only gripe was the 45 steps to the property so not sure how suitable it would be for the less physically fit as there is no lift. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Basic continental style breakfast in a communal setting which we felt could be improved upon but we were perfectly happy with what was provided. We would definitely stay here again and we thought the prices were good value based on location, facilities and service offered.

The room was clean and incredibly cute; there are classic locks and keys. The staff was friendly and helpful and the location is perfect - it felt a 5 minute walk from everything. We would definitely stay again!

Nice room, very spacious, and b&b in a great location. Staff very friendly. Breakfast was OK, not a great selection. There needs to be better communication between the staff and the booking website to give the customer more information about arrival. We arrived at 4.15pm on Saturday but nobody was there, and nobody answered the mobile phone number provided. We had to wait 2 hours as they apparently gave the key to a near by restaurant, which was a good idea, but we had not been informed of this at all (text, email, or 3rd party booking website). The same thing happened to a couple who arrived the next day. This was the only down side to our stay.

We were very happy with our stay at Cimatori. Perfect location, warm hosts, clean and very nice room, tasty breakfast and generally a very warm atmosphere. We felt very at home! Highly recommended! Bathroom was a little small, but very clean.
