Did not stay at this hotel because they had some issues but the owner did find us another hotel with an upgrade for the same price. The hotel is located in a really good location. All of the sites are within walking distance and around the corner from all of the shopping.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"4 Nights in Venice"
My wife and I stayed in this hotel for 4 nights. It is located in a lovely neighbourhood, close to San Marco square. The bed was very comfortable, the room furnishings were very nice, and the breakfast was good. The views from the rooftop terrace were excellent.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"A very nice hotel in the heart of Florence"
This hotel had a very central location in the heart of Florence - very close to all the major attractions that most tourists would want to visit. Rooms were the biggest we've had during our Europe trip, which was a pleasant change. The bathroom however was a little small and cramped and it was a little difficult to use the toilet as the sink was in […] the way. There was a heater in the bathroom, but the heater in the room was not working. Small TV in the room, but did not have a USB plug so we could watch our own movies. Breakfast choice was very limited, but included in the price - croissant, bread, cereal, cake, milk, water, juice, jams and biscuits. Staff were friendly and helpful! "En riktig pärla - a pearl!"
Valeria, the owner of the BnB, was really friendly and serviceminded. Every morning she'd made a new cake, and different kind every morning :) The BnB was located in the middle of everything, we could walk to all the places and we felt we're really in the heart of Firenze! The room was bigger than we thought. Cimatori gave us the warm feeling of a BnB […] and at the same time the service and the standard of a hotel. We can really recommend this place, a pearl (en riktig pärla!) in the heart of the town! // Emma and Fredrik Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"A very bad experience."
We have very bad experience with this hotel. since we have sent our late check in information when booking the room. But when we arr. (its around 10pm) there is no anyone waiting for us. Its our first time in Florence and we don't speak any Italy language. we took about an hour to find a good guy on the street to ask and he help us to make a phone call […] to the house keeper. Finally we got the key and enter our room. However, we disappointed with the room....there is no air-conditioner. we need to open the window while sleep. but there are several bar down there and the noise until 5am in the morning. Its unable to sleep even we were very tire because of long travelling. the shower room is terrible small, you even cannot turn your body. they only provide each person 1 set of tower and we need to use it for 2 days. the most unhappy is , they charge us EU80.00/night including breakfast, but there is nothing to eat except bread, some very hard biscuit and a cup of cuppocino. (we expect there is at least a slide of ham or cheese...but nothing). We have to spend extra money for breakfast everyday and feeling like be cheated. We will not / never come back again. "Bom custo benefício"
Excelente localização. O quarto é confortável. Ao chegarmos ao local é que fomos informados de que o nosso banheiro ficava fora do quarto, apesar de privativo. O café da manhã é simples, com bolo muito bom!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

This was my second stay at Cimatori B&B (the other was in 2010), and it was another wonderful experience. This time I took my wife, and she loved it! The hosts are very friendly and thoughtful. The rooms are bright and in perfect condition. The location couldn't be better, and every morning we enjoyed an amazing breakfast that we shared with interesting travelers from around the world. We stayed 6 nights. If you're looking for a romantic place to stay while experiencing the beauty of Florence, then look no further. You won't be disappointed.

We LOVED our stay at the Cimatori!!! The location was perfect for exploring Florence with many major attractions just steps away! There is a grocery store right underneath the Cimatori so you can conveniently buy whatever you need or want. The bar across the street is awesome. They had the best beers, played awesome music, and the bartenders were very friendly. Our room was bright and clean, and I loved being able to look out onto the street below. The bathroom was tiny, but who cares, it's a B&B in Europe! The breakfast in the mornings was really good, what a joy to wake up to food and coffee! Domenico was fantastic and so accommodating, he even made me a latte in the morning! We will definitely be staying at the Cimatori again next time we visit Florence!
"A perfect place to visit Florence"

I stayed at Cimatori B&B for the first time in 2007 with friends and have returned several times with my family. Cimatori is located in the historical centre of Florence, just steps from the Piazza della Signoria, il Duomo and other attractions. The rooms are light, nice, good size, newly renovated and clean. The bathrooms are not very big but clean and adequate. The breakfast is very good, better than average. Valeria who runs the place is helpful and very friendly, and makes a good cappuccino. We got great recommendations for restaurants and such. The historical centre in Florence is not extremely big and you can walk anywhere from Cimatori. There are parking possibilities as there are agreements with some garages not too far away. There is not an elevator and the B&B is on the second floor, but the climb is worth it!
"EXCELLENT LOCATION AND GOOD STAY"

We stayed at the Cimatori for 4 nights at the end of October 2014. Domenico and Laura were excellent hosts, he will take care of any need. The location of the hotel is 2-3 minute walk distance to the most visited areas of Florence. The room and bathroom were very clean and comfortable. In the morning, Domenico or Laura will make breakfast with a very nice setting. There are a lot of restaurants to go around the hotel, my favorite because it was very good and inexpensive "Yellow Bar" just 4 minute walking distance. The only issue is when you arrive and leave the hotel because it is on a 3rd floor and there is no elevator for the luggage, so a little of a workout. The rest excellent: host, location, room, breakfast, city, etc.

Our stay at Cimatori was perfect. Much better than staying at a hotel. It was extremely clean and the room was very large. We will certainly be staying again. The breakfast was perfect as were the staff. Very friendly and helpful. It felt like my own little apartment right in the center of Florence. You can walk to all the major spots in Florence and this neighborhood is very safe. There is no lift so be prepared to carry your luggage up one or two floors.
"Homely B&B with a fantastic location"
This place is really made by its location, you couldn't be in a better location! You are on the doorstep of all of the main sites in Florence. The B&B is located down a side street not far from the Duomo, blink and you'll miss it as it just looks like an ordinary door. The B&B is ran by Valeria who is very friendly and chatty. She was very helpful and explained lots of places to visit on the map. We had a double en suite on the first floor but our bathroom was separate but not shared. We didn't mind this but i don't think it was clear on our booking instructions that this would be the case. Next to our room was a small kitchen area with free tea and coffee facilities and a place to sit if you purchased your own food. We really liked this. We had a small problem with our room on arrival and Domenico dealt with it very well and was very apologetic, we are reasonable and understand mistakes happen but we were very pleased by their reaction to our complaint. Breakfast, as many have said, there isn't a great deal of choice. But it is so refreshing to stay in such a small establishment where everyone sits together at breakfast. We really enjoyed chatting and getting to know other guests over breakfast, it's also helpful to get other's opinions on places to visit! This place had a real homely feel and we really enjoyed our 4 night stay.

Perfect place to start everything you want to do in Florence. We loved the room. Wifi was god. We would have no problem visiting this lovely b&b again. They even arranged for parking who then dropped us at the door. Great service

Very nice place - recently updated. Close to everything in Florence - no need to take any taxis or buses. Rooms were great - bathrooms new. Breakfast delicious and they made us a cappuccino every morning.
"Great little B&B in central Florence"
10/14/14 Skyepilot Canberra, Australia
The top selling point for Cimatori B&B in my view is its location - it's in a fantastic spot that's only a few minutes' walk from many of the attractions in central Florence. For us, it meant that we got to enjoy the city at night (when it is very atmospheric), and also meant that we could easily duck in to get changed to visit the Duomo, or as it turned out, seek refuge from a freak hail storm! We stayed for two nights in the blue room, which is on the first floor and has a separate private bathroom across the hallway. We did this to save a bit of money and it was fine for our needs. Our floor also had a mini kitchenette with access to a fridge, kettle, toaster and crockery and cutlery, which we found very useful (particularly as one of the mornings we needed to be out and about before breakfast started). Our room was quiet and clean, and tastefully decorated. When we did have breakfast we found that it had a decent variety for a continental breakfast in Italy. We didn't have any trouble getting access to our keys outside of reception hours - the restaurant across the lane had a little envelope for us with a welcome letter and some instructions. If you are going to be arriving out of hours just make sure you send an email to let them know. The B&B owner was friendly and made us feel welcome. I would recommend Cimatori to anyone looking for a comfortable and central stay in Florence that won't break the budget.
"Perfect central location"
10/07/14 TAE467 Luton, United Kingdom
We stayed here for four nights over a weekend and really enjoyed ourselves. Like others have mentioned we arrived after 16:00 to find no-one on the premises to let us in. Luckily the number provided on the door was answered and we were able to retrieve our keys from the restaurant opposite. Better communication from the hotel is indeed needed so that visitors are aware of this. Our stay was a pleasant one, the room was spacious and the WI-FI worked flawlessly. Our bathroom was not en suite and in hindsight we wouldn’t do that again, not the fault of the hotel, just our personal preference. Breakfast was basic and often time we would arrive to find that they had run out of the basic foodstuffs and condiments. However, this did not detract from our stay and we were very happy there. The staff were helpful and knowledgeable about the local sights to see, taxis, buses etc. The location is the selling point, as you exit the hotel you are within minutes from all the major sights. Perfect. Would we stay here again? Probably, with an en suite room and skipping the breakfast option.
