The location is perfect, right across the street from the Valporetto (the water bus). Eugenio, the concierge is the best I have experienced in any hotel in any country. He went out of his way to make our stay wonderful. Coffee and tea any time of day, letting me use the hotel computer (several times), arranging a free motorboat ride to the glass works in Murano,marking a map with the number of the valporetto to take (including the times for when we had to leave early to get to the airport, and just being one of the nicest people I have ever met! The room was spacious and immaculate with three windows, one overlooking the Grand Canal. The bathroom was spotless and well lit, even had a towel warmer for the towels, the heating control was well appreciated since it snowed the day we arrived! With the Valporetto station just across the street it is easy to get anywhere in Venice. About 20 minutes from the bus station at Pont Roma on the 5.1 to the hotel. Or take the line 1 and cruise down the Grand Canal on the way to the hotel. I love Lido since one doesn't have to cross bridges or walk a long way to the hotel and there are many restaurant choices within a 2 block area.

We had a wonderful stay here. The hotel's website had a great map and directions for getting to the hotel from the airport, so we found the hotel without... any trouble. We were greeted by Ivan upon our arrival. He gave us great restaurant recommendations and directions to all of the tourist attractions, and overall was a great host. The location is wonderful. All of the must see sites are walkable, yet it's outside of the main tourist area, giving you a taste of the real Venice. I would definitely stay here again if I return to Venice! The hotel was even better then we expected. The room was tastefully decorated with the view to the Canal. It was clean and quiet. The hotel is close to every thing. It is just 10min of pleasant from St Marco square. The staff is very helpful. We loved our stay at this hotel. We chose it because of the positive reviews it had received and it didn't disappoint! The street leading to the hotel could be a little more inviting but once you step inside the door it is lovely - with great air conditioning! The service was great. Run by local Venetian family - father and 2 sons - and they were friendly […] and helpful. The rooms very pretty, the aircon invaluable and no noise from outside. Bathroom clean and good size (shower on the small side but have heard that is the case in almost all of Venice hotels). There is great free wifi in the rooms and brand new flatscreen TV. The breakfast is served in the room and isn't the most exciting meal but sufficient and quite typical of what you will receive at hotels in this price bracket. This hotel is excellent value for money and would recommend it to anyone. It was great to come back to our room after walking around Venice all day. Read more

Da der Hoteleingang eher wie derjenige eines Privathauses aussieht war er nicht einfach zu erkennen obwohl es nur einen Steinwurf entfernt ist von der Haltestelle Ca d'Oro der Linie 1. Das Hotel ist ruhig gelegen und besitzt seinen eigenen Charm. Der Empfang war herzlich und das Zimmer/Bad war sauber, sehr geräumig mit genügend Platz für eine Familie […] mit zwei Kindern. Speziell ist sind auch die hohen Decken und der Blick vom Balkon auf einen Kanal. Es ist gut gelegen, sodass wir zu Fuss alle wichtigen Sehenswürdigkeiten besuchen konnten. Da es keinen Frühstücksraum gibt, wird ein kleines Frühstück im Zimmer serviert. Wir können das Ca' Le Vele gerne weiterempfehlen. Read more
