The hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating. Food was great. The complimentary breakfast had a great assortment of cheeses, meats, fruit, cereal, and croissants and bread. . It is across the street from the lake so the view is pretty from the rooms.

My wife and I travelled to Lugano for a business meeting that I had and we chose this hotel so that she could enjoy the city while I attended meetings. Everything is well within walking distance of this hotel, while they also have nearby parking as we had a car. Our room fronted the lake and we also enjoyed the view from the breakfast room the following morning. It is an older hotel with character and an efficient staff. We would stay here again.

This hotel is fantastic. The views are amazing! The hotel itself is beautiful, comfortable and the staff is pretty fantastic. It is however, up a very steep hill and walking to town is not really an option. Taxi's are very expensive to and from the hotel, but the surrounding towns are worth it. Find another place to eat in town. The restaurant in the hotel was a terrible experience. Crunchy risotto and pasta, raw veal and chicken and the bartender did not understand that rum is not tequila. The bar itself leaves much to be desired. We were charged full price for the horrible dinner, and the negotiation about reducing the charges for a REALLY BAD dining experience, was very difficult. The manager was really not willing to reduce the bill as much as I would have liked to see for the horrible food. Avoid this issue by eating elsewhere and the rest of your experience will be lovely.

There is little that cannot be said of this hotel. The location and grounds are gorgeous; the main villa is beyond beautiful; the service was outstanding from check-in to check-out. My fiancee and I traveled to to this hotel during the off-period right before New Year's. We were put into a suite in the main building. The room was clean, comfortable, and well appointed. The mini-bar was complimentary and replenished daily. The service throughout the complex was excellent. Perhaps the nicest surprise of our stay was the spa. Built underneath the main building, the spa featured a large pool with a number of fun features. The four treatment rooms, modeled after Earth, Air, Wind, and Fire, were a great place to have a couple's massage. This hotel is a wonderful getaway for a romantic trip to a truly gorgeous location.

They did not have the proper room available. I do not know if this was intentional. Our room that we eventually received was great other than being too hot. The hotel was charming. The restaurant staff was somewhat rude. The weather was bad and there is not much near the hotel to see in bad weather.

The room and bathroom were large and sunny. We were just across the street from the lake. Internet worked well. The restaurant was good for dinner and breakfast. Altogether a real bargain.

Unfortunately the lady at the front desk ruined our impression of the hotel. We asked her for suggestions of restaurants for dinner and she said she couldn't help because she has only been in Lugano for 1 month!! What?? This must be a very common question among guests and I can't understand why the hotel managment has not trained her to give her a few […] names to recommend! Then the internet did not work and I called downstairs and asked her what was going on. She said that I had to try the internet later on because sometimes it does not work. I asked her to call a technician to solve the problem and she said she couldn't because it was a sunday! Finally the next morning we needed to go somewhere in town and we asked how we could get to the address that I showed her. Once again she said that she didn't know because she has only been in lugano for one month!! I actually had to ask her to look it up in Google maps. Then she took 10 minutes to go on her computer and instead of printing out the map, she said that she needed to help other people at the desk before she can help me more... I have no respect for any hotel management that could hire someone so incompetent! Read more

Empfang sehr freundlich, hilfsreich. Das Zimmer war lärmig und Heizung machte grossen Lärm. Zimmer sind immer noch mit Teppiche, ein absolutes NO-GO. Badezimmer sind sehr renovationsbedürftig.

Un odore di rancido e stantio alberga dappertutto. Il gusto del decoro interno è raccapricciante. Lo staff non brilla per cortesia ma non è neanche scortese, del resto il Ticino è pur sempre Svizzera. Il ristorante è da evitare accuratamente. La posizione è molto bella e il quartiere tranquillo in riva al lago e fuori dal traffico.

Das Hotel liegt in Paradiso, direkt am See. Bei der Ankunft hat sich herausgestellt, das der Parkplatz nicht im Preis dabei ist und separat bezahlt werden muss. Ansonsten haben wir den Aufenthalt genossen. Gegen kleinen Aufpreis konnten wir ein Zimmer mit Seesicht beziehen, das lohnt sich auf jeden Fall! Die Sicht auf den See ist fantastisch und so […] fällt das Aufstehen sehr einfach. Das Frühstücksangebot ist limitiert, es hat jedoch alles was es zu einem schweizerischen Frühstück gibt. Der Kaffee bekommt von mir die beste Note. Die Angestellten sind sehr freundlich und beantworten alle Fragen in Deutsch und Englisch. Das Abendessen im Hotel war auch gut. Das Zimmer verfügte nur über ein kleines Bad, und es gibt keinen Luxus. Lärm von anderen Zimmer/Gang ist wahrzunehmen, aber da es wenig Gäste hatte war es für uns nicht so störend. Der Strassenlärm ist bei geschlossenem Fenster auch zu ertragen. Im Ganzen sind wir sehr zufrieden mit dem Hotel, dem Service, dem Essen, und wir werden das Hotel auf jedenfall weiterempfehlen. Das Hotel ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen und wird "sanft" in Schuss gehalten. Zu dem günstigen Preis bietet es aber genug Komfort und ist sauber. Die Frühstücksterrasse mit herrlicher Aussicht auf den Luganersee mussten wir wegen aufdringlichen Spatzen fluchtartig verlassen.

Das Hotel hat uns vollumfänglich gefallen. Die Lage ist ideal, das Personal war äusserst freundlich und das Frühstücksbuffet auf der Terrasse zu geniessen war wunderbar. Ein Highlight war der offene Kochbetrieb auf der Terrasse am Abend. Man konnte direkt zuschauen, wie das eigene Essen frisch zubereitet wurde.
