Robinson - Chermignon

The positives: location is central, right near ski bus; the included breakfast is great before a day on the slopes; the room was spacious. The negatives: the beds are HARD; the room we had (room 106) with a "Matterhorn view" only had a view when walking out onto the patio when you were then staring into the breakfast area (could not see Matterhorn from room!); the front desk service was hit or miss - very rude when we arrived but great when we left.

I stayed here in Feb 2013 -- so, this is the real-meal-deal. I am a die-hard skier/traveler who travels 200,000 miles per year and stays at many 5 stars in many cities. Here's what I love about Le Poste in Tzoumaz: these people care!!!! Thiebaud is a gem; the dining room manager makes a huge difference. The food is very good, costs 50% of what similar Verbier meals cost without the "faux posh" attitude. Just like going home for dinner. Let's see: I slept well, drank well, ate well and felt welcome. All I ever ask for. Stay here....stay awhile...I will go back. Verbier rocks...and I live in Boulder, CO., just skied Silverton yesterday and will ski Vail within the week, however, this trip haunts me. It was wonderful, Luis

The rooms are quite small but very clean and comfortable. Not used to having insufficent storage to empty our 2 suitcases but the staff was very pleasant and attentive. The hotel was remodelled in 2010 so it is in excellent condition. The ski room was great and had nice ski boot warmers. Next time will book all the evening meals in advance as there is a heft premium to book on a day to day basis - which we did anyway because the food was quite good. All in all a very pleasant stay with convenient ski bus stops.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The level of service from all staff members was excellent. The ski locker rm and assistant was also very convenient. Easy access to all the aspects of Zermatt

Great stay for long weekend - welcoming reception very helpful English Manageress, simple buffet breakfast in large salon with a view down the valley TV lounge and free wifi - all included for a bargain rate for the 4 valleys. Basic room was fine for two with storage, TV and a balcony, bathroom small but adequete clean with plenty of hot water. Location is a genuine 200m from the Haute Nendaz telecabine (uphill but easy walk on the pavement) and in front of a free ski bus stop for Suiviez and it's better (no drags for boarders) connections into Verbier. Free large car park on site and the easy 1.45 hr drive from Geneva is a bonus. Next to a ski hire shop and across the street from bars restaurants - main 'donwtown' area is under five min walk. This is not a 5 star hotel but very convenient and comfortable base for a ski trip and on par if not better than many package holiday ski hotels so great value for money for independent travellers.
