The location is ideal, since it is very close to the Reuss river, train station and the attractions in the old town. The price was reasonable, given the ideal location, but there was a lot of internal and external noise at night, which compromised our sleep. Nevertheless, I would stay there again.

Perfect location for touring Lucerne. Beautiful neighborhood where you can walk to everything. Excellent service and helpful staff. Use of pool at sister hotel across the street. Highly recommend but a bit expensive.

The room was dirty (bathroom especially), cramped, and uncomfortable. The pillows were very lumpy, alomost as if they were sheets stuffed with gobs of filling. We were actually given an attic room in the main hotel located about a quarter of a block down the street. Parking was 25CF in a parking facility about 100 meters from the hotel. It was located just a block from the old town in Luzern so the location was great. Small room and tiny elevator but a reasonable price. It was worth the stay.

Overpriced. Seek out better options for just a few bucks more! We checked out and did so! Beds were very hard and their "double bed" consists of 2 tiny single beds pushed together, with single bed linens. Room was very small/over priced. Couldn't turn around in the bathroom...it was tiny! No elevator so if you are staying on the second/third floor expect […] to lug your own luggage up the stairs! Water available in the hall vending machines for $5!!! Still thirsty! :( Read more

The hotel was quite difficult to find and without sat nav would have been a nightmare. There is also no parking at the hotel. We had to park in a car park up the road and pay separetely at about 20 franks for the stay. We stayed in a quadruple room with our two children. This had a double bed and two singles squashed in to what would normally be a double […] room. There is a nice terrace and pool with hot tub, but service is slow with the bar closed and having to ask at reception for drinks. The hotel also added on an 8% tax when paying, which was not obvious from the booking and added about £16 to our bill (including two family members who also had two rooms). All in all a good hotel, in a good location. Tip - take the breakfast, its far cheaper than going elsewhere in Lucerne which was very very expensive. Read more

We were Baselator, the sister hotel across road and supposedly better quality. Family room turned out to be 4 beds squashed into a double room. Wifi patchy through hotel and pool not heated, so 22 degrees mid summer. But great location for sightseeing by foot. No guidelines of surrounding areas left in hotel room. No coffee making facilities.

We stayed here for 2 nights in spring. The guest house was definitely value for money for it's location. Room(no. 811- third floor) was cosy n very clean. The guest house is ten to fifteen minute leisurely walk from the train station. The reception was across the road at the baseltor hotel but a phone call away should you need assistance. The guest house was very good for the money. As everyone knows Suisse is very expensive so this offers a cheap alternative in a very good location. Friendly staff at the hotel. Floor boards above were a bit creaky, maybe ask for a top floor room if you think this would bother you. I'd stay there again for sure.

There were four of us traveling together and we booked a quadruple room, one double bed and 2 fold out armchairs. We were comfortable and were very happy with location. We were able to book at a reduced price the day before showing up so the rate was incredible for the area. We stayed 3 nights we were so happy. The Guest house was as such OK and sleepable condition. But our Quadruple room was changed in the last minute to a double room with child beds. They claimed to give us an "upgrade". The receptionist was very very arrogant. Acted as if he was doing us a favour by letting us stay one night. He wrote down our credit card details down to the 3 digit pin […] on the back side when he reserved the payment on check in. When we asked why he did that, he shouted that he needed his money if we would run away without paying!! Very ridiculous service. The room was too small for 4 people and the bathroom stank. Being so unfriendly, we didn't even bother to go and ask the hotel receptionist for any help in improving our living conditions. In short, never go to this place even though the location is decent. Was pleased when we arrived to our room. It was very central, only a short walk over the pretty brigde to city center, and about 5-10min walk to train station. -room was clean and sheets were nice. -if your room is facing the street make sure you close the window as it can be noisy. Room had ceiling fan to keep you cool. We stayed in what could be described as an attic room. Unfortunately it had recently been painted and the exposed wooden beams treated so the smell of paint or lacquer was fairly overpowering with windows closed. The room was spacious enough for three of us. There is no lift and the stairway is quite narrow so difficult to manoeuvre heavy luggage. I'm […] sure the smell will fade in time and if you're willing to overcome the narrow stairs this is a very good little guest house in an excellent location. All of the main attractions of Lucerne as well as lots of shops and restaurants were within walking distance even for the unfit. The receptionist was very polite and helpful. The business centre has a computer with free internet as well as typewriter and paper for correspondence in the parent hotel across the road. Also has an outdoor pool, which was a little chilly for our liking in May. You may be able to find cheaper accomodation but this guest house I think is fairly good value for what you get. Read more

Die Lage ist super: in der Altstadt und bahnhofsnah (7 Minuten Fußweg). Zimmer mit gutem (schweizerischen) Preis/Leistungsverhältnis. WLAN funktioniert gut im Gang (wo Tisch und Stuhl sind), im Zimmer nicht so - aber nur öffentlicher Raum ist angepriesen. Hielt alles, was versprochen.

Although It took 8 hours to get there, I was so expect to see nice people and the natural environment in Switzerland. However, the person who met I first time at Rösli Guest House in Switzerland was so rude. He was the manager of the hotel. It was too tough to get there though.
