This place was fine. Firstly, when you drive along the only road to get to this place, there is a barrier/gate type thing. You need a code to get thru. I pushed the button and they told me to contact the hotel to get it??? Hotels.com didn't mention this in a confirmation email??? Anyway, we called the hotel and got it. Hotel is in the Main Street, parking across the road in an open parking area. Reception staff spoke English ok. Room was quite large, wifi only worked the closer you got to the door. Shower was fine, bed fine, - only problem was the door downstairs. It was soooo loud it just kept banging as guests left. Sounded like gunshots. The abbey is about 2km down the road. Perfect location. Bus stops out the front of hotel. Recommended .

This hotel was super quaint and had everything that my wife and I needed. Clean, comfortable beds along with clean bathroom and toiler room. It was more than you would expect from such a small hotel in an even smaller town like Pontorson. The location was excellent and less than 10 minutes from parking lots of Mont Saint Michel. The ONLY complaint that my wife and I had was that there were NO screens on the terrace doors or the bathroom window. This was a bit of a pain because we had no air circulation at night while we were sleeping, and couldnt really open the windows because of the immense amount of flys, mosquitos, spiders etc etc... Either way, we would stay again- but please invest in some screens.

This hotel is comfortable and very nicely located in central Saint Lo. We found it a great location from which to take day trips to Mont St. Michael, the DDay beaches, Bayeux, etc.

Villedieu-les-Poeles is an endearing little backwater to stop over in for a night. Stayed in a "superior" room at Le Fruitier - recently decorated and in good condition, although perhaps not everyone would like the style. Well soundproofed and shutters on the windows, but no aircon so would get stuffy in the summer - the hotel looks out towards a main […] road, although it isn't particularly busy at night. There was noisy refurbishment work going on in the square outside during the day, although this looked as if it ought to be finished by the end of the year. Plenty of parking on square outside hotel. Unfortunately rather let down by somewhat indifferent service - rather unhelpful reception staff and not a very warm welcome - they just handed us the key and pointed towards the lift - and not desperately interested in sorting out minor problem with WiFi. Petit hotel sympa! Nous recommandons surtout le repas du soir servi au restaurant (pas la brasserie) DELICIEUX ! Le personnel est très bien. Seul hic la chambre à l'ancienne...pas comme sur les photos : lit de coin et mobilier rustique mais propre et très bien pour une nuit. Pas contre, ne prenez pas le petit déjeuné : trop cher 9€ et nous n'avions […] plus de croissants à 10H. allez le prendre au bar à côté. El hotel está bien situado, en pleno centro del pueblo, pero la habitación era muy pequeña, y el baño es muy viejo y olía mal, ya que estaba todo enmoquetado´. Si quieres visitar Mont Saint Michel, el hotel está a unos 30 minutos.
