Hôtel Régence - Arles

Stayed 2 nights and hotel was close to everything we wanted to see in Arles and the roads to sites outside of town. Parking is a problem though.

It was very basic hotel, with free parking on the street. Rooms are clean, although one room my friends supposed to stay in was really smelly, but they were offered another room immediately. If you ever stayed in very nice hotels you might not like this one. We loved our stay the Le Regence. The hosts were very nice and helpful, the room was clean and comfortable, breakfast was nice and well priced. The location is great, because you can walk anywhere from there; Arles is a very small town, so in 15-20 mins walking you can visit all the attractions of the Historic Center. The only -minor- complaint is that the internet connection was pretty bad in the room... could email, fb, text, but had to go down to the lobby area to talk via skype, which was closed after 9:30pm. A historic building, featured in a Van Gogh painting. Appears to be freshly remodled with new carpet and paint. Weekly market is right outside the door, located right on the river, one block from train station. Super market is across street. Easy walk to local attractions and dining. Owner on premises, very helpful. Appears to be an exceptionally clean […] enviroment. Only problem was we had a hard time finding it, it is right to the right of the entrance pillars to the old town part. Parking available right in front for free. We would return here. Read more

This is a small hotel run by Eric and his wife Valerie, who are friendly and helpful. It is very convenient if you are arriving by train, the station being about 5 minutes walk away. The hotel is on the banks of the Rhone at the north edge of the old town and all sights are within 10 or 15 minutes stroll. Rooms at the front of the hotel have a river […] view. We had a room at the rear (number 11) which overlooked an inner courtyard which served as a car park. Our room was surprisingly quiet, with no noise whatsoever from 10 pm to 6.30 am. As it was hot, we had the windows wide open and didn't hear anything on the three nights we stayed at the hotel. Breakfast was charged at 6 euro per person and was well worth the money. There was a selection of cereals, fruit juices, bread, cake, cold meat, cheese and fruit salad and yogurts. Each morning we were each brought a very large fresh croissant, which was delicious. With this breakfast we found that a small snack around lunchtime kept us going through a full days sightseeing. For any more food, there was a Monoprix supermarket only 5 minutes from the hotel. Overall, we would recommend this hotel for visitors to Arles. Clean and typically Provencal, with helpful owners. Read more

El hotel está cerca de los principales puntos de interés turístico y las habitaciones tienen vistas al río Ródano. Además, es posible aparcar el coche en la inmediaciones de forma totalmente gratuita y segura. La verdad es que Arles es un lugar magnífico para pasar un par de días y este hotel es muy recomendable para ello.
