Hostal Venecia - Valencia

Clean, comfortable, well located in the centre of Valencia. The staff were helpful, the breakfast reasonable. Smal inconvenient - the bathroom smelt on one of the 3 days we were there. This seems to be a common problem in Spain, however, and not specific to this hotel.

My wife and I stayed at the Venecia just overnight, but we will definitely go back. It overlooks wonderful fountains in the Town Hall Square, and it is so beautifully decorated and furnished. Whilst there are only basic dining facilities, it is in the middle of a lively night time area - but not noisy. Try it - you will not be disappointed.

Good hotel in a great location overlooking the square, close to the station and the beach. Friendly helpful staff who spoke good english. Rooms were clean,spacious with fridge and free Wifi. Breakfast was good value for money. The only negative was the smell of poor plumbing in the room which was quite unpleasant at times, especially at night. I must admit this hotel looks fantastic on the outside all classical looking but internally it's decor inside was bland. However the location is excellent, just a couple of minutes walk from the station, right in the heart of the old town. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the room was spotless. The room had a fridge, aircon and safe included […] and the continental breakfast was good value. The room was a little noisey but you are in the heart of one of Spain's major cities. Lots of things to see and do in Valencia with great public transport. Beach, cathedral, museums, aquarium, zoo, science museum, botanical gardens, F1 track.......really is something for everyone. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff were very pleasant and extremely helpful. The location is perfect, right on Placa Ayuntamiento. However, the wifi in the rooms (which was free) wasn't working very well but there are 2 computers downstairs which are connected to the internet.

As with any central city hotel of a certain age, the rooms were small. The hotel is a bargain stop in a great location and was well run as such. Beds were hard, tv is small, but the room was immaculately clean, the desk staff was helpful and they had all the amenities to meet my needs (e.g. lockers to store a backpack between checkout time and my train […] 6 hours later). Located right on the Plaza Ayuntamiento, the cafes can be a bit noisy at night 9and it it Spain, so night means well into the night). Really pleased with our choice of hotel and city. Valencia is an ideal city break, good weather, nice beach, friendly atmosphere, plenty of bars and restaurants and lots to see and do. The Hostal Venecia was a really good choice and we would certainly go again. It's not posh, but a good 2 star hotel with a brilliant location.

Considering this hostel is advertised as a 2 star, we were both very happy with the condition of the rooms and would in fact rate this higher than some of the 4 star hotels we have stayed in on our previous travels. The rooms were very clean and maintained on a daily basis. The hostels central location is excellent for travelling around the city due […] to its proximity to the Metro (Xativa), the trainline and various bus and taxi stops. The free internet service is also very useful. The only small issue (and this is a very small issue due to tha fact we did not spend much time in the room) is the lack of English speaking channels on the flat screen television within the room. The wall between next room is thin. I could hear all kind of event going on at next room. The location is great. Concider the price, the room is big and condition is good. Feel inconvenient that I had to leave the room key every time I go out. Over all, I was satisfied and would recommend this hotel to everyone.

Geweldig hotel, zeer goede kwalitiet prijsverhouding! Zeer centraal gelegen. Personeel erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Ontbijt voor de prijs zeer goed. Het is niet superluxe, maar als je voor weinig geld op een mooie plek wilt is dit zeker geschikt! Kluisje op kamer is handig.

OK hotel navnlig p.g.a. den suveræne beliggenhed ! Værelset var lidt småt, og der var lydt, men alt i alt OK. Forbavsende lidt gadestøj og herlig udsigt ned til en lille sidegade, med små cafeer. Spring hotellets kedelige morgenmad over og gå ned i sidegaden på en af cafeerne i stedet for !

Bra hotell med ett suveränt läge! Det enda negativa är att det är så lyhört. Man hör vad som sägs i närliggande rummen samt korridoren. Vaknade flera gånger av att det stängdes dörrar.

heel fijn hotel, alleen jammer dat er geen koelkast op de kamer is. Wel zijn de bedden iets te hard. Wij hebben niet ontbeten in het hotel omdat je dat beter lekker buiten kan doen. Ga zeker terug naar dit hotel als we ooit weer naar Valencia gaan!
