The location is perfect, right across the street from the Valporetto (the water bus). Eugenio, the concierge is the best I have experienced in any hotel in any country. He went out of his way to make our stay wonderful. Coffee and tea any time of day, letting me use the hotel computer (several times), arranging a free motorboat ride to the glass works in Murano,marking a map with the number of the valporetto to take (including the times for when we had to leave early to get to the airport, and just being one of the nicest people I have ever met! The room was spacious and immaculate with three windows, one overlooking the Grand Canal. The bathroom was spotless and well lit, even had a towel warmer for the towels, the heating control was well appreciated since it snowed the day we arrived! With the Valporetto station just across the street it is easy to get anywhere in Venice. About 20 minutes from the bus station at Pont Roma on the 5.1 to the hotel. Or take the line 1 and cruise down the Grand Canal on the way to the hotel. I love Lido since one doesn't have to cross bridges or walk a long way to the hotel and there are many restaurant choices within a 2 block area.

Приятный небольшой отель.Чистый, уютный номер с хорошим сан.узлом. Утром в небольшой столовой сервируется завтрак: сыр, масло, йогурты, соки, булочки, джемы, кофе (варится при вас по-желанию капучино, эспрессо), чай. Вполне хватало до обеда. Locanda al Leon er et sjarmerende hotell like ved Marcusplassen, men likevel skjermet fra den verste turiststrømmen. Vi, et par i begynnelsen av 30-årene, bodde der to netter i juli 2011 og trivdes svært godt. Vi ville ha romantiske klisjeer og fikk det - rommet var rosa, gull og rosemaling, akkurat slik du venter av et lite hotell i Venezia. Vi var […] på forhånd litt nervøse for badet, da vi ikke fant bilder av det på nett, men ble meget positivt overrasket - det var stort og rent og svært komfortabelt, masse håndklær, toalett i vanlig høyde og dusj samt tørkestativ med varme. Rommet hadde effektiv aircondition og renholdet var ypperlig. Minibar og safe, og til og med klesskap, rommet var likevel romslig, og god seng. Siden vi var der om sommeren var det laken i stedet for dyne, og siden temperaturen ikke var så høy akkurat de dagene vi var der var det litt kaldt om natten, men et lite teppe var tilstrekkelig for en behagelig nattesøvn. Trådløst internett var et pluss. Et lite rom i tredje etasje fungerte som frokostsal, med en ansatt som var dere hele tiden for å rydde, fylle på og lage kaffe. Frokosten var vel en vanlig italiensk hotellfrokost - lyst brød, crossanter og frokostblanding. Men godt kaffeutvalg - cappucino, espresso, caffelatte ++ i tillegg til vanlig traktekaffe. Det var også mulig å få frokosten servert på rommet. Hotellet ligger i et trangt smug rett opp fra Vaporettostoppet San Marco San Zaccaria og det var helt perfekt å slippe å gå langt med bagasje i alle smågatene. Hotellet er ikke så synlig, men det er siste bygning på venstre side i Calle Albanesi rett før du kommer opp i Campo san Filoppo e Giacomo. se etter rød markise med hotellnavnet på. Betjeningen var utrolig hyggelig og serviceinnstilt. Gode i engelsk og svært imøtekommende. Ikke heis, men de bar til gjengjeld opp bagasjen for oss til rommet vi skulle ha.
