We are very satisfy with this hotel. It is located in 5 minutes walking distance from Florence central station. Excellent restaurant next door with 10% for hotel guests. We stayed in one of the unit with kitchen. There are supermarkets nearby. Breakfast is buffet style with many choices. Hotel staff is very helpful. They even helped us to print out train tickets when we purchased on line. We would definitely stay in this hotel again if we went to Florence again.

The staff here were fabulous, even calling our hotel in Rome before we left them to ask a question for us. The room for two adults, a 6'+ 15 yr old and a 16 yr old was more then big enough and bright and airy. The bell tower outside the window was beautiful. Staying here you are close to the Duomo and convenient to the train station, which is fabulous when you are training between cities in Rome. We would most definitely stay here again!

Description of Podere Le Cave - Impruneta

Location.
Located in Impruneta (Chianti), Podere Le Cave is close to Florence Charterhouse, Certosa Museum, and Piazza Niccolo Acciaioli. Also nearby are World War II Florence American Cemetery and Memorial and Circolo Golf Ugolino.

Property Features.
Podere Le Cave has an outdoor pool and a seasonal outdoor pool. Complimentary wireless Internet access is available in public areas. A complimentary breakfast is available. Additional amenities include tour/ticket assistance, a garden, and self parking. Self parking is complimentary.

Guestrooms.
Rooms feature balconies with garden views. The 2 air-conditioned guestrooms at Podere Le Cave include private pools and minibars. Beds have memory foam mattresses. If you know what to expect this place is the best. For example, they don't cook you breakfast but they do give you a kitchen and starter supplies which... is perfect in this setting. Mariella and her husband run a working family farm and olive grove. You are like a special guest with plenty of your own privacy. Wonderful pool with knockout views of the Tuscan hills right down to Florence. If you are an animal person this is the place. We got wonderful occasional visits from a happy free spirited kitty and a polite small dog. Of course you can go visits the horses any time as well as visit the turkey tom who rules the barn yard. Ride the horses around the olive groves if you want. The bottom line, it is really nice to hang out here. You need a car since this is really out in the hills amid darling small villages with great food. If you have a car, visiting Florence from here is very workable but so nice to get away from the city. But there is so much more. Next time we will stay about a week so we have time to hang at Podere Le Cave as well as do some car trips to the rest of Tuscany including Pisa, Sienna, Chianti, and Florence. Make this your base for a whole exploration of this part of Italy and you will be very happy. And so worth the cost. by a Hotels.com guest on 05/09/13
