My 3rd time to stay here - the hotel is conveniently located just across from the train station and a short walk (less than 5 minutes) to the town square. Rooms are with modern furnishings and very clean. Internet speed (complimentary wireless) was fast and reliable. The breakfast buffet here is also excellent, though I find the restaurant is a little overpriced in relation to other dining options in town. This hotel remains my first choice for when I need to stay in Kortrijk.

A wonderful stay in a perfect central location to Ypres. The B&B was a lovely place to call home for the night. The hosts were extremely helpful and accommodating. Lekker Full English breakfast in the morning and Nelson the Cat was a fun addition!! Out of 1-5, I give Cavell's an 11.

Kortrijk Belgium is a city with tiny streets and half of them are one way! My GPS stopped working because of the tight quarters in the city and when it did it kept telling me to go down one way streets. The sign in front of the hotel is hidden by a tree and the parking is not clearly marked and is around to the back of the hotel in the alley across from the back of the police station.So the hotel is very nice but you really need to know how to get to the parking before you get to Kortrijk. I would stay there again....now that I know where it is!

Hotel was very clean and comfortable. It is a basic hotel with bed, shower, tv and that's about it. It is in the middle of a business park so there is not much around here. We did find a decent supermarket and a Micky D's in the same area but it's really not within walking distance. Would stay here again if I found myself in B.F.E. France

Interesting neighbourhood being 'regenerated' as all around are new developments, the benefits of which seem to be passing most residents by. The area... has the feel of a small rural village where bed-time is 7:00pm or sunset, whichever comes last - the boulangeries were open longer than the local bars and there was nowhere except kebab shops and a mobile friterie to get something to eat. Despite that the neighbourhood However, within a 10 to 15 minute walk the Old Town of Lille - just beyond the brand new hotel/Casino development - was laid out, with eateries much in evidence around the area doninated by Gare Lille de Flandres. Shopping - looked good, if any of it had been open. In fact over the Sunday and Monday of Easter 2011 the place was basically closed for business apart from the afore mentioned brasseries and sandwich shops; ironically the Office de Tourisme was open and doing a roaring trade in selling the maps that are usually given away for free, souvenir chocolate bars with Lille branding and tickets to Belgian Grand War sites/towns such as Ieper/Ypres - might be better to stay there than Lille, I have and loved them. The hotel itself was modern and functional, the staff friendly and helpful - not helpful enough to keep the doors open until much after 9:30 - but its very much a Euro-style franchise. The bar was non-functional etc., etc. As a base to get some sleep, and a shower though its near perfect. I would actually stay again by Steve R from Matlock, United Kingdom on 04/28/11

Pour le prix, l'hôtel est très bien, les chambres sont propres, le ménage fait tous les jours. Le personnel est charmant et il suffit de 10 minutes/1/4 d'heure à pied pour se retrouver dans le centre et dans les gares. Très bien pour un séjour de 2 ou 3 jours.

Un hôtel calme, prévoir quelques minutes de marche depuis le grand palais pour y accéder, ou préférer la station de métro Caulier. Le service rendu est très correct (wifi, presse..) et l'accueil est chaleureux. Un petit bémol : l'éclairage dans les chambres est assez faible.

Un peu loin du centre ville et de la gare et de la station de métro, mais dans l'ensemble c'est un bon hôtel confortable avec des personnes à la réception très gentils.
